Avoid Premsafe like a plague. In August 2021 Premsafe (Units 12 – 14 Highcroft Industrial Estate, Enterprise Road, Horndean, PO8 0BT) installed guardrail system on the roof of the building at one of the NHS Trusts in London. Within 2 months it started to fall apart due to bad workmanship with railings not being secured properly and coming out of the joints. Following inspection carried out by the Trust, they established that the problems were caused by two things: some railings were not secured by the grab screws and some of the horizontal railings being cut too short by Premsafe installation team on site. As the result they could not secure them with the grab screws drilled in the supporting posts in certain places. They were just too short and as the result on one side of the building railings were not running in the straight line, hence they weren't able to achieve rectangular shape guardrail structure . We have photo and video evidence taken during inspection carried out by the Trust team at the time. Upon discovery of the lose railings (purely by accident when Trust team went on the roof to investigate the leak), in order to prevent dangerous accident caused by the falling lose railings onto the footpath below, NHS Trust employees with our help fixed lose railings and reported it to Premsafe. Despite 12 months defect liability, instead of agreeing to replace wrong size (short) and fix lose railings at no cost to the Trust, Managing Director of Premsafe accused NHS Trust employees of tampering with their installation.
