Not Happy!!

Right now, I am completely dissatisfied with my son's experience with PrepScholar. We purchased the combined ACT/SAT package. When we purchased, he had 4 weeks until his ACT test date. 2 weeks in, and some ridiculous hardcopy book to allow him to take an analyzed practice test still hasn't arrive. His mom has reached out twice, and NOTHING. His dashboard shows great performance (Advanced or Mastery) in every category except Reading. But the exercises presented to him are NOT Reading!! So far, huge waste of money. Good Grief!!

Hi Brad, we’re sincerely sorry to hear about your experience. This is not the standard we aim to deliver.

Regarding the practice test book, we ship the hard copy book containing the ACT practice tests after the 5-day trial period ends. The 5-day trial begins once the student submits their initial diagnostic test. This approach gives families a chance to evaluate the program before materials are sent.

That said, we regret the inconvenience this has caused, and we’ve upgraded your order to faster shipping to minimize any delay. A tracking number has also been shared with you through your support ticket.

In the meantime, your son can begin focused Reading practice right away through the Quiz Generator inside his program. He can select specific Reading skills and generate sets of 10 questions at a time, allowing him to target those areas even before the full-length test arrives.

We also want to address the outreach issue. You should not have had to follow up multiple times without a timely response. We’re reviewing this internally, as we aim to provide replies within 2 hours on average, 24/7.

My daughter went from a 22 to a 29…

My daughter went from a 22 to a 29 because of PrepScholar! She had low confidence on how to take the test and through diligent, but not overly crazy, amounts of study she feels confident that she can get it even higher. We are so grateful!

Confidence and practice.

I've been able to pinpoint what I truly do and do not struggle with. The classes i've taken have given me more confidence when working out problems. I've always specifically done worse in math, but with my tutor, I was able to understand a lot more to then apply it to the practice questions and tests I take using PrepScholar and other resources. I'm very hopeful for the next SAT I have, and beyond glad I took this course.

Hi Madison, we're sorry to hear that parts of the experience felt difficult when you had a specific math question you were trying to work through. We appreciate you sharing that feedback.

Every practice question in the Complete Prep online program includes a thorough explanation that walks through the correct answer step by step and also explains why the other three answer choices are incorrect. This is designed to help students understand the reasoning behind the problem, not just the final answer.

For students who want additional help with tricky questions, we also offer an AI Learning Assistant built specifically for this purpose. After each practice quiz, you can chat with the assistant about any problem you found difficult. Because it has the full context of the question, along with knowledge of SAT/ACT content and our PrepScholar lessons and strategies, it can guide you through the approach. Instead of simply telling you the answer, it asks questions and helps you walk through your thought process so you can build the skills needed to solve similar problems on your own.

This option can be added when enrolling or upgraded later in the program, and students can try it a few times for free before deciding whether to add it.

SAT prep

I really learned a lot about math and reading skills. I never felt less of myself every time I got the answer wrong. Whenever I did get an answer wrong, my instructor would tell us how to get the answer in the simplelist way we can understand. Jen was the best instructor I had all year for my SAT preparation.

This class was very helpful!

This class was very helpful because I was able to learn a lot more about math and reading/writing strategies that I had forgotten about. There is also so much practice available for me to use, that not only give me practice problems, but they teach me with video lessons as well.

Homeschool Curriculum

If you homeschool, treat this course as curriculum and have your 9-10th grader do it all school year. It not only will prepare them for the ACT/SAT but show you gaps that need addressing. The program actually teaches them the skills they need reinforcing or aren’t familiar with from their studies. I can’t recommend it enough.

A Five Star Experience I Would Recommend

The teacher was very good at keeping me in engaged with her personality, showing us tips and strategies for SAT that are very helpful, making us not feel ashamed if with guessing or we don’t the answer, and providing a link with SAT resources that we can use later on, after classes are done.
