Doesn't deserve one star. Came for quote for one small job for gas meter, which was over priced and not accepted as wanted to uninstall and install functional water meter for $1500.
I asked how much to connect a washing machine while they were there. Price quoted was $1200. This is for a 5min job. Obviously didn't accept.
This business seems to operate as a high risk-high reward type of service. Maybe 2/10 customers accept the inflated quote, which makes their business model work.

Over $700 to inspect my hot water system to then try and sell me a $6500 replacement.
Just got a quote whilst the plumber was trying to stop me from calling anyone for $2400 to replace and install. Stay away. Also whilst this is who came out it was another plumbing group I booked through who had good reviews. I wish I had checked this company when I saw the different name

They got me too! The company I clicked on had very strong reviews but after getting stiffed $750 for a 30 minute investigation they wanted to charge me over $6k for a hot water replacement that can be done for less than half the price.

I quite frankly don't believe this company should be in existence. I was quoted $4900. For a simple leak. They advised that they would need to do a full exploratory and give me a report then they would proceed with the work once report done. They advised have to do a full check in underground pipes and in the wall pipes. Well I live in a cabin and there are no pipes in the walls. There are a miriad for plastic pipes under the cabin so I knew the leak would be there. I was quite intimidated by their tactics. I asked about a payt plan and they advised they would help me fill out applications to some of the buy now pay later schemes. At the time I was stressed out financially and emotionally and an elderly 75. I went to our front office and they advised there was no way that a simple leak should cost that much and to advise Prestigious straight away to cancel the quote and seek further advise. STEER CLEAR OF DANS PLUMBING IN MELBOURNE Because ITS PRESTIGIOUS Group who ARE RUNNING THIS SHOW. If I don't hear from their office today(I have sent an email and left message on their 1300 which comes up as gutter guard) I'm off to consumer affairs or current affair

They advertise online as Smiths Plumbing in Brisbane however are actually Prestigious Plumbing Pty Ltd ABN 44 153 421 615.
We seem to have a simple blocked drain / sewage pipe. Two lads came around and looked for a few minutes and then droned on and on and on about how there is no access, went into micro detail about how the toilet needs to be dismantled etc etc etc and it would cost around $3k.
I asked them to email me the quote and I will get a second opinion as thats high for a blocked pipe...that's when the laughable and poorly executed high pressure sales tactics came out such as searching for discounts, asking me my budget, calling his supervisor (who also tried it on). I told these two around 6 times to email the quote / get out of my house...they kept going. My wife and kids found this highly amusing as they just would not listen.
I had to practically push these clowns out of my door.
These people no doubt prey on the elderly etc. I have reported them but stay well away from them.

To contact this company does not happen , calls rejected emails bounce back half of a website . A disability pensioner was done over yet again .

There is some confusion with this company as while the invoice is from Prestigious Plumbing Pty Ltd, the work is carried out by Smith's Plumbing.
My elderly mother was charged $6,500 by this company for installing a 88L hot water system and replacing a couple of washers. This amount is shocking.
Please be extremely careful.

I called Prestigious Plumbing in an emergency situation where a pipe under the basin tap had burst. They responded quickly and got the job done in good time, including changing 3 taps which all showed signs of deterioration. The only issue I have is that I believe I have been overcharged for the taps. Looking online I find that I can buy these exact taps from most plumbing outlets at a cost that varies from $99 to $149 each. I was charged $467.33 plus GST for each tap
