I bought a packet of Crepis rubra from"prettywildseeds" on ebay. No germination at all so I bought another packet from a different supplier on ebay. These were sown side-by-side with the remaining original seed. Seedlings from the new packet of seed were up in 4 days but still nothing from the original packet from "prettywildseeds".
The person who responded from "prettywildseeds" definitely has a problem with accepting responsibility for supplying rubbish non-viable seed. He says he buys seed from the same wholesaler as everyone else who supplies on ebay, the seed is germination tested in a laboratory and any problem with germination is down to me.
He clearly does not know that I am a professional gardener, sowing many packets of seed each year, most more challenging than easy to germinate Crepis rubra. I have never had any problems other than with this packet from "prettywildseeds".
I suggested he did a germination test himself of his super viable seed but have not heard back...
I am shocked by his rudeness and lack of customer service. He clearly doesn't want to admit there is a problem with the seed he supplies. Since failing with seed from "prettywildseeds" I have mentioned the outfit to several colleagues. All have said the same thing - don't touch with a barge pole.
I am tempted to agree!
I have purchased seeds from Pretty Wild Seeds for a few years and their prices are excellent and the products are perfect and they always germinate with no problem. Thank you for the great service?
Good range of wild flower and other seeds.
Easy to communicate with re any queries.
Yet to see the quality of the seeds but the customer service is poor. When I chose to order directly and asked for a price match over email immediately upon placing the order, the response was "There’s little I can do if you had all the information in front of you, and opted for the more expensive option?"
Purchased seeds via eBay. Listed on eBay as sent, Royal Mail say they have not collected any parcel from them. Another day, another unprofessional, conman from the North of England! I did finally get them to answer a message via eBay. Many excuses, all rather sad and shambolic. UPDATE! In a reply from the sellar below, they accuse of being abusive. I replied to the m on eBay, abuse is not allowed. Claiming abuse etc is typical of those that have no defence, all this over a packet of seeds, PATHETIC!

I hate to give a bad review to anything to do with plants, but I feel compelled to warn others. I ordered some pink dandelions (crepis ) and sowed them in a propagater, after 2 weeks nothing had appeared. I ordered a further packet a month after and tried again, again nothing. I know some seed can be difficult to germinate so I thought this may be the case, although I had read that they’re meant to be easy. As I was ordering some seeds from Chiltern seeds, who I normally use, I decided to try again and order some of the same from them. I sowed the seeds and they germinated within 5 days. The seed looks much fresher than Pretty wilds. I think Pretty wilds seed must be old or stored incorrectly. I wish I had checked Trustpilot first. I urge anyone to use Chiltern seeds, they are very helpful and always have excellent quality seed. Such a shame about Pretty wild seeds, safe to say I won’t be a repeat customer!

Ordered some tropical seeds and recieved them pretty quickly by 1st class post, only a couple of days . We shall see how good they are once planted. Only reason I didn't give a 5 srar as I think some growing instructions would be useful
Do not buy this seed from this company unless you want a flower meadow full of thistle in year two. Last year we spent a lot of time and money preparing a 2 acre field with paths and grass areas, and then at least an acre of wild flowers 10kg of seed. It was a complete success. However this year, only where we seeded we have had the most awful dense thistle. When the company was as contacted, they said yes there may be a little bit of thistle and fobbed us off. Now we are faced with bills of thousands to remove the thistle, kill off all the wild grass and thistle to start again, along with a summer of an awful look view. We don’t mind the labour and effort of maintaining a wild flower meadow, but this is complete joke. Please steer clear of this company and their seeds. If I could post photos I would.

Bought 20 tansy plugs from them on eBay. The picture for tansy was clearly the yellow tansy however it appeared later that they had sent me phacelia instead, claiming it's purple tansy. Very unhelpful and not offering any refund despite evidence of the misleading picture they used. Not impressed
Bought grass seed many times from this company with no problems, but the last order for Front Lawn Fine seeds just did not germinate. Emailed them but no response.
Move my business to a more trustworthy company in future.
FANTASTIC products and staff spoke with Stuart he knew everything i needed to know and advised me on best options for what i needed will defiantly be using this company again.
Meadow mix contained 99% Barley and Wheat even though says "NO Grass seed". Google Barley ...... As it was over 3 months i couldnt get refund direct so conaltacted card company and WON chargeback. My advice do same yiu can file upto 6 monthd after Delivery.
I chose this company since they seemed to have the product that I needed for a new small area of a shaded part of my garden. I purchased what is called "Pure Woodland Mix 2A" - 80% grasses and 20% flowers. Sowed following the instructions to the letter. Seeds germinated OK, but 100% grasses. Not a single wild flower ! Tried to resolve by telephone and email. Neither answered. Lousy product and poor service !
Paid for seeds and l can see on my bank statement that the money left my account. Contacted them but their system says lve not paid. I said l can see the payment on my bank statement but they just restated that l had not paid. Perhaps they got their system from the same place as the post office
Bought some seeds from this company via Amazon.
There was instructions on the packet.
Well priced.
Pleased with my purchase.

(I prefer to buy from independent businesses and not to go to Amazon for my purchases as they already have too much power and money. In this case, it seems, my efforts were not appreciated. In their first response to my review, they posted an invoice with all of my order details including my name and FULL POSTAL ADDRESS! In their second response they insisted that they had had no contact from me and accused me of making an error! Wouldn't you think that a business would check daily for emails in the spam folder?)
I thought I'd paid with paypal, then I received an email telling me to complete my payment. They gave me the option of paying via paypal or via direct transfer. I paid by direct transfer because it was only for £10.68. Nothing happened! I received no confirmation email that I'd made the payment and nothing to say when the items I'd ordered were going to be packaged/delivered. I emailed them on 28th February 2022 to find out what was going on and they asked me for proof of payment (I didn't realise that this email had been sent from a different email account until I spoke to the woman at my bank) so I sent them a copy of my bank statement showing the payment had gone through. They ignored it, so I have contacted my bank. I thought I'd been scammed.
Edit: You have posted my address online!
What you have posted means naff all to me. You did not reply to my emails when I sent copies (YES TWICE!) of my bank statement showing payment had gone through, and the details you gave me to transfer money into your account were confirmed by my bank! So! You have been paid!
Edit:
Yes, I did inform you. I sent emails with my bank statement attached twice. Once on 28.02.2022 and again today as I have already said so in my review. The email address which you requested my proof of payment from was a yahoo account, so that was the email account I replied to. Have you checked that one (trash and quarantine folders included)?
Did you even read my review properly? The errors, I'm afraid, are all yours! You asked for proof of payment and I gave it to you. I can only do what is humanly possible!
I would like a full refund please. I will remove the heading of "Scammers!" when I see a refund in my account and not before!
Edit: FINALLY! I have had an email with an apology from this company. They found my emails in their spam folder! Just awaiting my refund now.
Edit: I hovered all day yesterday around my computer expecting an email to say I had been paid. I checked my bank account 3 times too. There was nothing! I gave up when it got to 8pm. I was paid today. Thankyou. Resolving issues like this is obviously not their top priority, so I wouldn't waste my time if I were you.
