They charged me twice for the rental…
They charged me twice for the rental fee, once on my Revolut and the other hidden with Deposit, they blame on exchange rate and bank fees.
They charged my credit card rather than block/hold deposit, did not show me any exchange rate on the day for deposit in local currency and now is holding 2,413 euro for 90 days as they hid this in their terms and conditions, which according to visa/credit card law is illegal.
When I returned the car, they did everything they could to find damage in order to scam more money, thankfully i had photographic and video proof.
Avoid like the plague and dont ruin your family holiday by using their services or CarJet who facilitate this companys shady practices.

The amount retained at vehicle collection was not an additional rental charge. As specified in the rental agreement and Terms and Conditions accepted prior to collection, a security deposit is required for the rental. In your case, the deposit was processed as a sale transaction rather than a pre-authorization due to the limitations of the card presented at collection. This procedure and the applicable conditions were explained before the vehicle was released.
Regarding the difference in amounts, please note that all transactions were processed in Romanian Lei (RON). Any variation between the amount charged and the amount received upon refund is determined by the exchange rates and conversion policies applied by the card issuer or payment provider, which are outside of our control.
We would also like to clarify that the deposit return period is clearly stated in the rental agreement and Terms and Conditions. The deposit is not being withheld without reason, but is managed according to the agreed contractual provisions.
As for the vehicle return inspection, our staff are required to inspect all vehicles upon return and document any new damages. This process is applied consistently to every rental and is not intended to generate additional charges. We are pleased that the vehicle was ultimately returned without any damages requiring further action.
We respectfully disagree with the characterization of our company as engaging in misleading practices. Nevertheless, we take all customer feedback seriously and continuously work to improve our services and communication.

Excellent rent car company,no delays on pick up,new cars available at very competitive prices.Also ,the staff is attentive,friendly and ready to answer any questions.I used this company for few years now and I will keep use them in the future.
PS: Car collected last time had the fuel tank almost empty,barely I’ve reached the closest petrol station.I didn’t check the fuel level when I picked it up and when the light came on în the dash i was already on motorway.I had to reroute trough some small villages till I found one just before the fuel tank became completely dry.

I reserved a car for 2 weeks - Bucharest Otopeni, I had all the documents required by the voucher, but when I had to cancel the warranty, the employee at the office told me that I didn't have an embossed card. at that moment he immediately offered me the alternative of paying an additional insurance of 800 euros. I showed the 2nd card - Start BT which has all the elements in relief, so embossed. He was surprised, he called and I was told that this card can't be taken into account either and he can't rent my car. I called the Pricecarz call center and was told that they have nothing to do, to resolve it with the office employee. It was just an abuse on the part of the employee and as I have read with other customers, it is a fraudulent practice of Pricecarz.

Messy and be prepared to pay double
Upon arrival it was a mess. They told me I had to pay while everything was already paid . After showing proof, 30 minutes waiting and some phonecalls they “found” the payment. But then they randomly didnt accept my creditcard for the deposit because it didn’t have embossed letters… never heard this word before but if I pay 900 ron or 180 euro extra they however would accept it; more than the rent itself.. one way or the other they wanted to get my money without adding any value which feels very unfair. The car itself was perfect and fine but the first experience with Romania was horrible. I would definitely advice western European rental companies for the next time

Upon checking, you were unqualified to collect the car. The deposit must be blocked on a credit card (VISA or Mastercard) under the name of the main driver with the details embossed and has a minimum validity of six months fromt he time you collect the car.
You were given an option to avail our Packages. The Basic +, which reduces your responsibility and the SMART CHOICE Package. With this package, you have ZERO LIABILITY over the exterior damages on the car, NO DEPOSIT, and you can pay using a debit or credit card (VISA or Mastercard).
We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the vehicle itself and that it met your expectations. However, we are genuinely sorry to learn that your overall experience did not leave a positive impression.

Our flight was early hours in the morning about 2am arriving, a member of stuff was waiting for us in the office, everything went so quick and smooth , he even offered to help with our bags as we had our 4 months old baby with us.
