Primeland Cowhides origins date back to 1889, when the great grandparents of the current owners started up the business which is considered, as of today, the most renowned company in the tanning of hair on hides in Colombia. Back then, tanning was made using pools as the current processes to perform chrome tanning through wooden barrels were not available. This process, which is the norm today, ensures cowhides quality during for years. Since then, the family business has diversified, getting into cattle breeding in different farms throughout the country which allows us to provide our clients with products from different breeds for multiple purposes. As an example, we owned “Los Tres Potrillos” farm located in Armenia, Quindío, one of the main centers of the Colombian Coffee Region and the so-called "Paisa" region, where its mild weather is ideal for Normande cattle breeding, used both for meat as for leather production. Its cowhides in particular are as internationally renowned as the Colombian Coffee itself. Thank you! Mixed feelings
Beautiful color. Ordered through website which maybe wasn't the best idea... had previously ordered on Amazon from the same company... better price because was in CAD and didn't have to pay duty. Was definitely way more expensive on their website even with their "friends"discount. Got the jumbo size.... not nearly as nice as the 2 large sizes I got on Amazon. Lots of patches and balding spots. Still pretty though.

MAGNIFICENT PILLOW COVERS
After starting off with a less than perfect start, Laura stepped up to the plate with exemplary customer service. The pillow covers are beyond my expectations. The best part was that I was able to view both the front and back of the pillows before purchasing, so I knew exactly what I was purchasing. AND I received them VERY QUICKLY!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Worst company to order from, do not waste your money. Some of the photos are fake and they will send you a complete opposite of what you select. The hides come with bald spots and are still dirty. Not only do I have all the screenshots but I also reported them to the BBB. I did not have it for a month. I emailed you all right after I received it and have the ETSY conversation to prove it too. DO NOT ORDER ITS A SCAM. Already disputed through my bank.

Thank you so much for your review... you have forgotten to say that we sent you a return label, but you wanted we first send another cowhide and inside the box we had to send you the label for returning the cowhide that you have... then you sent us pictures of the cowhide that you currently have with all your furniture on top of cowhide and the cowhide very dirty... because you already had used the cowhide... in addition, you received the cowhide a month before you wanted to make the return.

Buying a rug from them is like having a shedding cow in your living room
I waited over a year before making this comment so that my anger would lessen. I bought my rug at the end of October 2022 following a recommendation from a friend. I wanted a lightgrey color and the customer service was great, very responsive to my requests until the rug was sent. After a month, black spots appeared and I contacted them with supporting photos because I was very surprised. No one responded to me until I opened a dispute through Paypal. And there, an ocean of bad faith (it's because you sit on the carpet...), an offer of $50 compensation for a $500 carpet, a clear refusal to exchange my carpet for the model similar to that of my friend (long hair) because the transport was too expensive. In short, poor quality, no after-sales service and hairs all over the house. Too bad we can no longer post photos to show you the carnage...
