Great service. Great quality
Really responsive, personal service. Went the extra mile to make sure that I was informed about delays to the courier service and generally felt like a really customer focussed approach. Will certainly be back...in fact I already have been back.

An amazing independent shop
Always the loveliest shop to visit, the staff are so helpful and many of them who I've spoken to are also some of the makers whose products are stocked in the shop.
The products I've purchased have all been great and the selection is such high-quality with lots of interesting items.

Bought my dad a butter dish for Christmas and he loves it! It was very kindly gift wrapped in eco friendly packaging which he also loved. Very reasonably priced too for a beautiful handmade item!

Goods were delivered in good time. The price for the goods seemed rather high and although the free entry to the craft fair mitigated this it still brought down my score.

I can sympathise with your comments regarding pricing - it's true that our prices might be higher than a big chain high street shop. However, it's our makers who set the prices of their products, not the other way around, and we trust them to price their work correctly, so that they get paid a fair wage for their labour. We are also a non-profit organisation, donate our profits to charities and run free workshops for vulnerable people. We pay our staff a fair living wage and provide a community hub for over 150 independent makers and artists, 70% of whom live in Bristol.
For every £1 spent at an independent business, 52p stays within the local economy, meaning that our neighbourhood communities are better off, too.
With this in mind, I hope you didn't mind paying a little extra for your gift. A little really does go a long way within small, local businesses.
Sorry for whittling on, it's something that I'm really passionate about! I hope to see you in-store again soon,

Hi Maureen. I'm sorry that your disappointed. First of all I wanted to let you know that all of our packaging is recycled from previous deliveries. We have this information in the order confirmation email and on our website. If you missed it, here it is again....
"Packaging: If your order is fragile, we might have used bubble wrap or air filled plastic packaging. Please note - this is REUSED packaging that we've received from deliveries or donations. The rest of the packaging we use is recycled card stock, paper tape, shredded timber and biodegradable foam chips. We do not buy plastic packaging".
Regarding the earring quality - this is unusual as I wear these earrings myself and although they are lightweight (which I love), they aren't flimsy. The artist who makes these is a leather worker and uses Sterling Silver Hoops from another supplier. I'm wondering if the pair you have are faulty in some way and it was only noticed when you tried them on? I'm only just being made aware of this issue from reading your review on Trustpilot. Please can you email me more information so we can get the pair you ordered back to the shop, so I can send you a replacement or refund.

The lip balm smells delicious and its diminutive size was to be expected The exfoliator is a big disappointment. A small jar of loose powder which I assume you are meant to "scoop out" although you'd need tiny hands to do so, is a recipe for disaster in the sense of losing most of it on the floor or the basin. Call me old fashioned but I expect a scrub to ready mixed to apply to a wet face. I wouldn't expect instructions in one sense but how much does one use- I suspect my daughter the intended recipient will use it up very quickly Not impressed

Thanks for ordering with us and leaving an honest review. I'm sorry you are disappointed with this exfoliator. Did you read the product description or see the image when you ordered? Please let me know if you had trouble with the product page as it's important to us that this information is visible. The exfoliator is a small jar of 100% ground rosehip seeds and is to be mixed with a cleaner of your choice.
It's a firm favourite with staff as it lasts such a long time and is a great price at £6.
In the product description, the first paragraph says: 'This incredible Rosehip seed powder is the perfect natural exfoliator. Mix with your favourite balm cleanser'. Also later in the listing it says: 'Directions For Use. Add a small pinch to any balm cleanser'.
I do appreciate your feedback though about instructions and I will speak to the maker about including some information for those who receive it as a gift. Please send your daughter the link to the product on our website - as it says clearly how to use it.

Traditional potato masher …
I have been looking for a new potato masher, I wanted one that was made in the U.K.
This cherry wood masher, looks beautifully made and that it will last. I think it will be useful for mashing other food too.
