Unpaid contractual fee after painting sale — factual account
I sold a painting to Private & Public Gallery (Director: Chris Clifford) in 2025. The signed contract clearly stipulated a fixed shipping fee of £2,750.
After delivery, the gallery paid only £1,505.52, leaving £1,244.48 unpaid. When I sought recovery through a professional debt collection agency, the gallery submitted a counter-invoice for "translation" and "advisory" fees that were never agreed upon prior to the transaction.
The gallery has ceased all communication and blocked me on social media. I am sharing this as a factual account of my experience.
