I ordered a ProGear Vivace A2 from the PG website. I received a different brand and model of bike. Im not sure if this is normal, im confused and frustrated. After I started a resolution case, I was informed that the wrong bike was sent & i needed to wait and pack the wrong bike in its box and await a courier to pick it up, wait for it to arrive at the PG warehouse, then wait for my correct bike to be sent to my address. I needed to use a bike immediately and i couldn’t wait for the exchange to happen. So i now have totally different bike to which i ordered, which at original value, was valued much less than the original value of my bike. Im still waiting for a final solution to this case.

Ordered a new bike for my son’s birthday. Bike has been hidden away in the shed waiting to be assembled. Unpacked and assembled the night before his birthday and both tubes have holes in them. Absolutely furious

Progear, dualSuspension electric mountain bike

This bike purchased as a gift.
Great bike for both trail riding and longer adventures. The Progear E-Trail Dual Suspension Electric Mountain Bike feels solid, comfortable, and very capable on rough terrain. The dual suspension does a great job absorbing bumps and keeping the ride smooth, while the electric assist makes hills much easier without feeling overpowering.

The battery range is excellent for mixed riding, and the overall build quality gives you confidence when riding off-road. I was also impressed with the service at the pickup location — the staff were friendly and efficient, and the whole process was quick and hassle-free. They clearly employ the right staff.

Overall, it’s a fantastic value e-mountain bike that makes trail riding more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

I purchased a DuraLite 7 Speed 24” Kids, several quality issues

I purchased a DuraLite 7 Speed 24” Kids Bike Obsidian from Progear Bikes as a Christmas gift for my son. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.
On assembly, the bike was not rideable out of the box. The inner tube was faulty and the outer tyre was punctured, requiring me to organise and pay for repairs at a local bike shop shortly after delivery.
After very limited use (around five rides), a far more serious issue emerged. The thread in the right pedal crank arm is damaged, meaning the pedal cannot be secured and repeatedly falls out. This makes the bike unsafe to ride. I contacted the retailer with photos and evidence and requested a repair, replacement, or refund. Despite this being a new children’s bike with multiple defects, Progear Bikes / Global Fitness & Leisure refused to assist, incorrectly claiming the issue was due to user installation. Given the multiple faults in such a short period, this bike is not of acceptable quality, and the refusal to provide a remedy is deeply concerning, particularly given the safety implications for a child. I made several attempts to resolve this matter in good faith. The final response from the retailer (19 January 2026) was a firm refusal to assist. I would strongly caution parents against purchasing this bike or dealing with this retailer based on my experience.

Purchased The Pro Gear E-Raptor Pro E Bike from this company, I’ve had over 30 back and forth emails with the company and had no help. The e bikes does not travel 40kmph even with purchasing the assisted throttle. The customer service team have no idea about how it unlocks to that speed either. They have told me if i want a refund i have to re deliver it back to there warehouse, Under Section 209 of the Australian Consumer Law it is the responsibility of the company to pick the item up. Would not shop with them again.

Disappointed

I purchased an e-Vantage MTB. The rear wheel inner tube was faulty and popped/ split open on day 1. Dealing with Progear after-sale service has been very difficult and the issue is still not resolved, despite many email requests. I have also enquired to see if local bike shops can assist but they refuse to service the bike as they are unfamiliar with Progear e-bikes.

Progear Erover folding mountain bike

I purchased the Progear Erover folding mountain bike with a very specific purpose in mind: to set it up as a bushfire emergency bike, paired with a small cargo trailer. The idea is to have both the bike and the folding trailer able to be folded down and loaded into a vehicle once conditions are safe, which makes portability and compact storage a huge priority.
From the outset, the buying experience was excellent. Postage was efficient, the bike arrived quickly, and everything was well packed with no damage on arrival. First impressions were very positive — the bike feels solid, well assembled, and thoughtfully designed for its price point.
In use, the Erover has proven to be an impressive and capable bike. The full suspension is a big plus for rough terrain and emergency scenarios, though it does mean that finding suitable cargo racks can be a bit of a challenge. That said, it is possible with the right setup. If you don’t specifically need a folding mountain bike or full suspension, a dedicated cargo bike may be a better and simpler option. However, for those who need a balance of off-road capability, folding convenience, and compact transport, the Erover fills a unique niche.
Overall, this is a very well put together and impressive bike for the price. It feels robust, practical, and well suited to demanding use cases. Based on my experience from purchase through to setup, I highly recommend dealing with Progear — the service and product quality have both been excellent.

Bought the vintage

Bought the classic vintage cruiser fir my wife with the front basket and added an after market dog basket onto the rear gear rack (supplied standard) for her birthday (and our chihauhau). She loves the bike! The welds ate all strong and the frame solid. The only hickup we had in assembly was that the seat tube dropped into the frame and got stuck in there. I ended up getting some threaded rod and screwed on a nut, passed it through the tube and hooked the bottom edge of the tube on the edge if the nut so I could pull it out. Other than that, easy to assemble and very happy with purchase.

Quality check on Tubes are required before organising delivery

It appears that bikes delivered with punctured tubes are among the most common issues for Progear Bikes. I recently purchased a "DuraLite Kids Bike 16" for my daughter, and the front wheel tube has a puncture. Highly recommends Progear Team to perform a quality check before organising the delivery.

Aside from the punctured tube issue, the bike's ordering process is easy, customer service is very helpful (especially Jacky), and the bike's quality is excellent.

We ordered our bikes for Christmas

We ordered our bikes for Christmas. The ordering process was simple, and the bikes arrived very quickly. Assembling them was easy. We have only been for a few rides so far, but we are enjoying them and are already grateful for getting bikes with double suspension. My husband is particularly loving the chance to be back on a bike and is very happy with how his bike is performing.

Punctured tubes

Hi there, we purchased the children's bike as a Christmas present for or nephew and unfortunately both of the tubes that came with the tyres at punctures in them. We realised that one of them was punctured and was able to get a replacement in time for Christmas, however by the time we realized that the other one was punctured it was too late to replace in time. Our local bike shop is now not open until mid January, so we have a very disappointed little boy who is unable to ride his new bike. Considering we had to spend approximately $40 on new tubes, combined with the time and effort required to replace the tubes, as well as the over all disappointment, I am kindly requesting a partial refund of our purchase.
Thanks,
Rayna
