Prosper Loans California Head Branch = Scam
received a text message from a David Harper (425)-429-2318 - a Google voice phone number, BTW - stating that he was from Prosper loans and that I was approved for a loan. My credit and payment history are trash so I know I don't qualify for anything. He made the mistake of calling me. Now, I try not to be judgy about names matching with nationality but this gentleman did not sound like a Dave.
Since I've been trying to get a loan for awhile, I asked several questions - one is if my online banking credentials were needed to which he said no. But wouldn't you believe that when he provided me the link to apply via a gmail (not company) email address, what should appear in the banking information field underneath the ACH information but the Mobile banking credential request for User ID and password. When I let him know that he basically lied about the online banking creds, I asked to speak with a supervisor and (obviously) got disconnected.
