Just a horrible experience from start to finish. No-one on the other end of a phone. Filling out an intrusive form just to get in touch for a rental viewing, but you have to apply to view!? And then a rather cold email response from a no reply email address, with no indication as to why you haven't been selected for the property. Avoid.

Sorry this is long...Chris Chambers who runs this organisation is not to be trusted. He is unscrupulous and will leave you in the lurch if it suits him. And btw he also writes his own 5 star reviews! And also gets his colleagues to, so take no notice of 5 stars. I was in the middle of selling a house which Mr Chambers had looked at a few months earlier, but wasn't interested in at that time. His business partner looked at the house and suddenly both he and Mr Chambers had to have it! Yes, hindsight, I really should have ignored this but they offered me quite a lot more than the person who was buying, almost to the point of harassing me into selling to them, assured me how reliable they were, and I was foolish enough to fall for it. I was keen to sell the house as we were in the midst of the stamp duty holiday and the market was quite good and I asked Mr Chambers for some reassurance as I did not want to find myself in a few weeks, with the end of the stamp duty holiday looming, back at square one... he assured me that they were serious and committed to buying my house. Guess what? A few weeks into the sale it was found that the foul drain was blocked - unpleasant I agree but communal sewer pipes are now the responsibility of the local water authorities a fact which Mr Chambers - a letting agent for some years - was not aware of! He wanted me to start a very expensive process of getting a specialist firm in to remove the waste, then a camera survey to make sure there was not some terrible drain catastrophe, which I was not willing to do as within 4 hours of me contacting Wessex Water the blockage had been cleared and all was fine and I had never had this problem before in all the 14 years I had owned this property. But no! Mr Chambers would not accept this, nor my assertion that even if there was a drain problem - and I am quite sure there was not - it would all be covered by the water authority - I even asked him to call them and check, to go back and take a look into the manhole at the house. In short it was a perfect example of a mountain out of a molehill and I found his almost hysterical response very worrying. I am quite sure the drain problem was just a front. Maybe he couldn't get a mortgage and didn't want to lose face, who knows... Anyway he then withdrew his offer to buy the house leaving me more stressed than I can convey here, hence why I am writing this review. Please don't be like me... take your business elsewhere, and landlords take note that Wessex Water will clear your drain blockage for free so don't let Mr Chambers take you down the very expensive path he tried to take me!

I would highly recommend Proudhouse Property Management to anyone, even if they are landlords or tenants, because me and my fiance had a very good experience with this company as tenants. They are always there to help and advice in any aspects!

Chris and his team have been managing my property for the past 18 months. Having managed the property myself for 6 years I was reluctant to assign a management company but they have surpassed expectations.
