Since beginning my Publishing journey with AIA in late December 2024, I’ve experienced a true creative transformation. As a beekeeper, chiropractor, Navy veteran, and writer with a heart for service and storytelling, I’ve drawn from my life experiences in natural wellness, chaplaincy, and backyard beekeeping to write two deeply meaningful books.
The first, Buzz Into Beekeeping, shares my hands-on journey with hives in Huntington, Long Island, NY. The second, Spiritual Disciplines for Everyday Life, reflects the spiritual insights I gained during my years as a Navy Chaplain.
With AIA’s expert guidance, I’ve gone from concept to completion, composing chapters, refining content, and launching First Chapter Publishing, LLC, my own imprint. Working 1:1 with my coach, Lorilee Lucas has been a game-changer. Her encouragement during Zoom coaching calls, thoughtful feedback through my AIA Publishing Worksheet, and group Office Hours have helped shape my vision and keep me focused.
One of the most exciting milestones was designing a custom book cover on 99Design that truly represents my voice, something I now proudly share across social media platforms. The marketing support from AIA has helped me build visibility and connect with my audience in ways I never imagined.
Beyond print and eBook, AIA also guided me through ACX audiobook production, allowing me to bring my message to life on Audible.
This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. With AIA’s support, I’ve turned passion into purpose and laid the foundation for a publishing future I’m proud of and highly recommend.

2025 is what we call in Liberia, "WAWA: West Africa Wins Again" — when things can go wrong, they do on a "WAWA Day."
My husband and I rang in the New Year as speed bumps during rush hour, "pedestrians vs auto" on a 6-lane roadway. He had a parachute-free flight, airborne over the car hood, landing like an action movie stuntman minus the paycheck. Three fractured vertebrae, scrapes, an injured leg and two black hands later, we were miraculously still in one piece —well, somewhat rearranged pieces.
I left my job as administrative assistant to the academic dean at Nelson-AIC University, but soon realized that sitting still is not my spiritual gift. Between vivid mental reruns of our real-life game of Frogger, I figured, "Why not write a book?" (Nothing like launching into an unknown abyss of self-publishing while still in bandages!)
Publishing.com stood between me and mental unraveling. Their well-structured process kept me too purposefully emgaged to dwell on my new-found paranoia of crosswalks. However, in true WAWA fashion, my computer speakers and mouse pad died and the cloud backup quit — because — why not? If it weren’t for the VIP team, I’d be communicating via smoke signals by now. Thank you!
Despite all, in two months, I now have four 30K manuscripts teetering on Ultimate Book Formatting, plus a completed 7-Day Publishing Challenge. My technical expertise is roughly on par with a hamster using a typewriter. I appreciate patience I've found at AIA,
If I can do this, anybody can! Publishing.com rocks!
Oh, did I mention I'm age 77!!

I started small with low-content books, celebrating each little win. Now, I am so excited that I am almost ready to publish my first top-quality book. From the start, this journey has been incredibly fulfilling, and I can see so much potential for success ahead. The resources and support I’ve found have been amazing, and the coaches' advices have always been on point. The AIA publishing team and community have been nothing short of incredible—cheering me on, sharing wisdom, and making this whole experience even more rewarding. It's definitely one of a kind, and I am tremendously grateful.
This has been one of the best investments for me. It’s not just about publishing; it’s about creating something meaningful. I believe in this program, and I know success is just around the corner. The journey is so worth it, and I’m here for the long run. Huge thanks to the AIA community!

Just did both a Workshop and a Group Coaching today. My head is spinning with all the information and learning! I do learn so much from all the Zoom calls. The course is so well organized, and though I feel "in over my head" on the tech stuff, I'm making headway.

A lot of videos to help. Plus one-to-one coaching. A schedule plan for every step along the way. Also, the messaging help service with tech people to help. If they did not know the answer, they would find someone who does. A little costly, but you're learning new skills that you can use to create new products again and again.

Im leaving a 5 star review for coach Brian Chang. He is very precise in his teachings is able to tell us exactly what need to be done. I like that he is ultra patient and guides us step by step even with the simplest question! Publishing.com itself is always going through restructuring and my own personal coach whom I was happy with, was changed to 3 other different coaches which left me confused and unhappy until I was given a (hopefully) final one. Hv coach Brian has been a consistent with his live workshops and group coaching, and that has helped alot in my journey towards self publishing.

What I appreciate most is the daily coaching zooms. You can tune in without any previous arrangement, so sometimes there's only a few ppl there, sometimes there's more. Each Workshop has a different topic which repeats itself after a couple of weeks or so. Coach Brian seems to cover most of the topics and he has become a familiar face on my screen. I do like his truthful and straight forward answers to any question that's coming up, and even I have seen many of his presentations about the same topic, there is always more to understand and he is able to give answers to anybody just at their level of understanding they have reached. I have gained a lot more confidence and momentum on my personal journey of publishing my first book from these daily workshops.

Coach Brian and Diana are my favorite! They are great, I love what Publishing.com provides me. Coaching system is essential for the students like me, who is new to the publishing business. The coaches are great, especially Brian and Diana! Brian is very efficient, with patience! Diana is my designated coach and she guide me with compassion and full of practical knowledge as well.

Publishing.com has changed my life! Publishing is all I think about anymore. I rewatch lessons all the time. Brian Chang is pheonomenal. His workshops are outstanding and surpass all expectations.

Brian has been a gift! He is patient and is full of knowledge and little workarounds that make the publishing journey possible. Thanks!

I just listened to Brian's Group Office Hours webinar. Great information, as always! Thanks Brian.

The educational material is excellent and if followed by students as directed will create a publisher! I gave less than five stars because technical assistance has room for improvement as does the entire communication system in place for connecting with assistance and coaches. My coaching experience also was disappointing until adjusted but the system in place is an effective and helpful model for those with steep learning curve like me. Would purchase it again.

I am leaving a review for Brian. I have been attending his workshops, which are very informative and engaging. I have learned so much from him. He goes above and beyond to help us students. He even checks what could be wrong with our books during the Amazon Ad Tune-up classes. Because of him, I am re-evaluating my landing page, cover, and other issues no one has addressed before. He also gave out a better review source that was not mentioned by anyone else. Five cheers for Brian!! I will miss him when my PA ends.

I joined Publishing.com in November and couldn't be more excited. I've learned so much and the community that is available is amazing. In just the short time I've been here, I've built a support group in just a few months that is stronger than what I've had in my jobs where I've spent years. Remarkable.
The coaching is amazing as well. In particular, Brandon, my personal coach is outstanding. It's wonderful to have someone who is so caring, knowledgeable and patient.
For the workshops, Brian is top of the top. He knows so much. His ability to teach and get his message across is perfect. And he gets to the point; doesn't waste time. Another coach I couldn't do without.
While I'm still in process of publishing my first 30K book because I'm working through the program with diligence so I can learn as much as possible, I do have some remarkable things that have happened. I quit my full time corporate job at the end of February and am dedicating myself 100% to Publishing. I also have lost about 25 pounds, which was unexpected. The way I describe the change is that when I was working a million hours a week at a job I didn't love, I felt like a bottle of wet, dark sand. Since I've moved to just publishing, I feel like a bottle of river rock, where there's space for air and water to flow. It's a feeling of lightness that I forgot existed.
The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there are a couple of things the company needs to be careful of. First, I think when they try to sell the program, they are unrealistic in how they explain how quickly one can get a book published. It's a lot of work and takes months, not weeks. Once you learn, the process will get faster, but I felt a little tricked.
Second, since they're growing so fast, it seems like there's a ton of turnover and lack of clarity on formal policies. I've had a couple snags/stressful moments that could have been avoided. But those are just growing pains. Overall, I'm super excited to have made this change and very happy with Publishing.com.

Brian Chang: I really appreciated the way he broke down the process of creating Amazon ads. He didn’t just explain the basics, he went into detail about different strategies, like targeting specific keywords, setting effective budgets, and analyzing ad performance to get better results. His teaching style was clear and practical, which made it easy to follow along and actually apply what I learned. This training definitely gave me the confidence to start running my own ads.

Brian Chang's workshops are excellent. Each time I have participated, I have come away with multiple nuggets of wisdom to advance me further on my publishing journey. Luckily for his students, he has the patience of a saint. Overall, my experience with Publishing.com has been positive, and I would recommend it to others with an interest in self-publishing.

Publishing.com is the best program I've found for self-publishing. There are lessons, workshops, templates, coaching, and more. The lessons are fantastic and teach you how to do things right. Every workshop I've attended has been extremely helpful. For instance, I attended a workshop by Brian about Amazon Ads and learned more in two hours than I had learned in the six months prior. If you're looking into self-publishing, I highly recommend Publishing.com!
