POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE

Out of interest I have been reading reviews of pure energy. I notice that on several recent replies from Pure Energy that the complaint is about Pure Energy UK but when starting my review I find that the review is for both companies. Find it strange that this company is trading as they went into liquidation at the end of 2024. This was after they collected 3 faulty batteries that were only 4 years old out of a 10 year warranty. I have never seen any replacement batteries or financial compensation. Been in touch with Tranding Standards and the receiver all to no avail. Despite several attempted e-mails and phone calls that have never been answered, I now realise that I will never trust any small trader again. Maybe some good has come out of my experience as I now have had a heat pump installed by Octopus which has been excellent in this cold weather and cheaper to run than my old system. Had Pure Energy given me a better after sales service they would have had the job.

Waiting for engineers

Battery and inverter installed in August 2024, pleased with installers and the system was working well. In September 2025 battery was not charging so we contacted Paige in Pure Energy 0800 007 3355. After running tests we were tod that we needed a replacement battery and inverter. These were delivered to us via a carrier on September 19th. I rang to ask about the installation and was told there was an 8 week wait for engineers. Now I am unable to contact them. Can anyone help please?
I should have pointed out that there was a 2 year warranty.

Pure Energy Not Answering Tel or E-mail comms.

Pure Energy took over my account from New Age Innovations and from the start, they provided an excellent service. However, a problem with my batteries has developed, and although Pure Energy is supposed to be monitoring my system I have received no call from them as to the cause of the problem. I have attempted to call them on their Tel No 02039363785 that I have used to contact them previously, but after the initial ring, the line goes dead. I have tried to e-mail my previous contact - Paige, on her company address, but the e-mail bounces back. It would appear that the company is no longer operating????

Thanks Sean Harris and the crew.

OK.. first had my panels 10yr ago..good investment worked well. 3yr ago upgraded to a battery...company locked this up and went bust..battery literally made it more expensive. So I needed to get it sorted..luckily I had a call about my panels and checking them over...Sean came and went through how I was paying far yo much given the system i have and literally promised that he could sort it out and I would be happy.
Now I was slightly sceptical morso my partner..glass half empty kinda person.
Anyway Sean gave me a quote and then a better one because they had another job locally and could do them both roughly at the same time. He insisted that new technology in solar would make the whole system more efficient by utilising each panel individually. Solar Edge is the system. They also set up the battery so it worked properly.
Well they came and within half a day the install was completed with very little fuss and inconvenience.
I have made a point of 2 months of bills and as promised my electricity bills have reduced by half.
My experience has been excellent with everyone involved and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them especially if your system has been previously installed incorrectly or you have had a bad experience with other installers.
They genuinely seen to care about what they do which is rare these days.

I’ve had solar panels for 12 years

I’ve had solar panels for 12 years, but over time my electricity bills were creeping up. Sean from Pure Energy was friendly, knowledgeable, and really knew his stuff. He suggested adding a 10kWh battery so I could store cheap overnight electricity at just 7p/kWh. Combined with my solar, this means my bills will be around 70% lower saving me about £100 a month! I can now monitor everything easily through a simple, user-friendly app. Thank you, Pure Energy!

I had a great experience with Pure Energy. Sean was friendly, approachable, and extremely professional — never pushy, just armed with the facts and happy to answer all my questions. He made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. The electricians, Eddy and Dan, were just as impressive: punctual, polite, and clearly skilled at their work. Together, the team delivered top-notch service from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Sean and Eddy were a dream team—so thoughtful and definitely went the extra mile. After having another sales guy spend nearly three hours in my house trying to push the price from £10k to £7k to £5k, Sean came in and simply gave me the facts and a reasonable price. I would recommend Pure Energy to anyone, and I already have!

Shambles

Pure energy installed a AlfaESS hybrid battery system in my house. I have had nothing but issues with the system. Customer service appaling. I am disabled and was promiced a decent system that would save me money in the long term. I have a large solar panel set up and it now appears this was never set up properly to start with. They insisted I had economy 7 to charge the units, absolutely counter cost effective. It appears they never actually activated my solar to charge, as it has never read as an input from my panels on the app, only mains charging. They have left twisted wire joints instead of industry standard joins. I had a connection issue which was rectified, but the system appears to have never been set up correctly from day one, which I have questioned. I am now looking to go to trading standards. Disgraceful service. Buyer beware!!! They hardly ever replied to my emails particularly a lady named Paige who just phoned me calling herself the operations manager for the company, I had asked them never to contact me again as I did not want to speak to them again and now fing they are harrassing me. They need to ask themselves why it didnt work properly after installation and do they think they gave me good service out of 10, 10 being really good. I rate them 1,

Good morning Mr. Adams,

I attempted to contact you both yesterday and today to discuss the claims made in your review. Unfortunately, the information you’ve provided is incorrect, and we have detailed documentation, timeline of events and evidence to support this.

From the beginning, we clearly advised that your system size is not capable of generating enough surplus energy to charge your batteries, as your usage exceeds your generation without batteries. Based on this, we recommended a battery to meet your usage and switching to an overnight charging tariff. Once you confirmed your tariff was live, we correctly configured your batteries in line with that setup.

In addition, we have attended your property on multiple occasions — at no cost — to assist with Wi-Fi signal issues that were affecting your system’s performance. While these issues fall outside of our workmanship warranty, we carried out these visits purely as a goodwill gesture to support you.

Our Operations Manager also contacted you to discuss your review and offered to provide full clarification and supporting evidence. However, the conversation was cut short by you and your use of inappropriate language...

We take these matters seriously and remain open to a constructive conversation should you wish to resolve this properly.

Kind regards,

We are also NOT associated with Pure Energy UK

We originally wrote this review on behalf of Pure energy (REGen) Limited, to highlight that we are a completely separate business from Pure Energy UK.

Having spoken to Louise from this Pure Energy, it appears we too have confused this business called Pure Energy with Pure Energy UK.
From our conversation it seems Louise is having the same issues we are, receiving daily complaint phone calls and emails from individuals trying to contact Pure Energy UK.

Apologies to Louise and the Pure Energy team for the confusion.

Hi Joanne,

Thank you so much for your continued understanding.

It appears that all the negative reviews we've been receiving are actually related to a different company called PURE ENERGY UK, which seems to have been established around 18 months ago. They have no contact number, no website, and no Trustpilot account. Unfortunately, this is causing people to mistakenly associate their poor practices with us — Pure Energy.

To clarify, we do NOT cold call — this is not part of our business model.

We’ve flagged these misleading reviews to Trustpilot, but because they contain our company name, their automated systems often close the investigations without resolution. It’s been a long and frustrating process, and it's disheartening to see our reputation on Trustpilot impacted by the actions of another company.

We truly appreciate your support and hope we can work together to clear up this ongoing confusion.

Best regards,
Pure Energy

This company cold calls people in the hope of a sale

This company cold calls people (on mobile phones) telling them they need solar panel inspections, clearly they've purchased out of date information on people in the hope of a quick sale or more likely to come to a property and scare the owners into replacing the whole system unnecessarily. They refused to give a company number and their website also fails to show this.

After further investigation it appears they're trading under NEW AGE INNOVATION LIMITED, a company that lost it's FCA accreditations in 2024, and has now been struck off companies house. A second company named ENERGEN ELECTRICAL LTD appears to be linked but that too has been struck off Companies House. A new company named TRUSTED HOME SOLUTIONS LTD appears to also be linked.

UPDATE: I can see they've responded below to my review, possibly they could reply with the actual company name they're using then? As it's not listed on their website...? For complete confirmation that my review is in fact accurate and referencing the correct company, I've confirmed with Tesla that Pure Energy, which is listed on the Tesla website as "New age innovation Ltd T/A Pure Energy", has now gone into Liquidation... to confirm this further I can see on Companies House (UK Government website) the company address for "New age innovation Ltd" was Unit E5 J31 Business Centre Motherwell Way West Thurrock Grays RM20 3XD which is the same address that Pure Energy is still using on Google Maps and their Facebook page, either this address is very popular for multiple solar companies to be using or my statement above is 100% accurate, if the above isn't true I will gladly remove my review once the company proves it.

Update 2: Please provide your company name and number and have it listed on your website. I can then verify whether this is true or not.

Thank you for your review.

We would like to express our concern, as we have no record of the situation you’ve described and no complaint of this nature has been raised through our official channels.

We want to make it absolutely clear that Pure Energy does not condone or engage in any such misleading activity. Any reviews based on these false representations are entirely inaccurate and potentially defamatory. The companies or individuals responsible for these actions have no affiliation with Pure Energy whatsoever.

It is deeply disheartening to see our company name being misused by others in an attempt to manipulate public perception and benefit at our expense. While we understand that customers who fall victim to these deceptive calls are understandably upset, Pure Energy is also a victim—of false reviews and brand misrepresentation.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to protect both our customers and our reputation from these dishonest practices.

----------

We want to clarify that we are indeed Pure Energy—however, the individuals who cold-called you from a mobile number were not part of our company. As mentioned in the review posted on 26/06, this is a clear example of how companies with similar names are misleading people during unsolicited calls.

To be absolutely clear: Pure Energy does not operate an outbound call centre, and we do not engage in cold-calling. The businesses you’ve listed are separate companies and not working with us in anyway.

Unfortunately, reviews based on calls from those misusing our name can unfairly damage the reputation of multiple legitimate companies. We ask that customers please verify the source of any contact before associating it with our business.

That is our address and name, we did not call you, we do not have an outbound call centre, therefore please can you please reconsider this review

Great Product, Great Company, Amazing People

I've recently used Pure Energy to upgrade my 10-year old Solar PV system to the latest tech. Throughout the entire experience they have been fantastic and a joy to deal with.
Craig Gentleman was the most honest and down to earth sales person I've ever encountered. Patiently described all the various options to me in detail and was always available at the end of the phone if I had a question.
Paige & Louise in the office always did exactly what they promised, quickly and efficiently.
And Luke the engineer was fantastic. Got on with the job in hand when he arrived to my house without any fuss and even tidied up after himself when finished!

I had a minor issue a day or two after the install (that's life!) but the speed and energy the above team applied to identify a solution and implementing it in record speed was breath-taking.

The only downside to using Pure Energy to upgrade your existing system? I'm now completely addicted to monitoring the Solar Edge app to see how much electricity we're generating and using as the information is at your fingertips and so easy to understand.

Great product, great company, amazing people. Highly recommended!

Getting fed up with calls from this company

Getting fed up with calls from this company claiming to help me out with my solar system.
They ask questions like "are you receiving your FIT payments?" Of course we are, that's the main reason for having the system! Wish they'd stop calling. Every single call on our house phone is about our solar system. Argh!
I'm now getting the company complaining to me via Trustpilot that they have no record of me, so I must have the wrong company and I need to edit my review.
Talk about cowboys......

I'd never have believed this dreadful company would still be failing me after more than two years.

I wrote earlier about the dreadful experinecs with pure.energy, the batteries installed in 2022 which worked ok for four and a half months until they needed some bought-in power, and haven't worked since - with two years of promising to come, and someone coming three months later, and taking the batteries back to re-charge, and more months, years in fact without a working system for which I paid over £12,000. They sent me a new inverter for them in June, which is still waiting for them to fit, and it's virtually November now. The One star is for the solar inverter they replaced for me, which is still working, but that wasn't worth £12,000 and they have all my batteries in case they happen to have them on board if they are over in this way - and I'm in the middle of the country not at some out of the way remote place.

In January 2025 I was told that the company had gone into liquidation, and one of their ex-employees rang to say he could bring my 6 batteries over and, for a fee of several hundred pounds, fix four of them to my system. He did (in April 2025) and this now works, but later in the year I will suffer from only having two thirds capacity for storage.

Great team and regular crade to grave communication

From consultation to installation I was kept informed throughout. I have spoken to various members of the team who were all very helpful. Particular thanks to Michael for his time in the first consultation at my home and to Louise who was in regular contact before during and after the install. I am grateful for her time in the follow up call she made a few weeks after the installation where she answered my questions regarding the app amongst other things.
I would very much recommend Pure Energy and i am very happy with my system

Pure Energy Hot water system

I have just had a hot water system installed by Pure energy. I am very pleased with the whole experience. We had an initial meeting to discuss the product and then the engineers arrived a few days later to install it. All the team were friendly and professional and answered my questions appropriately. So far the system works well so I am very pleased.

Simple Battery addition to existing PV setup

My original PV installation was made in April 2011 but as we have a lot of tree shading on the panels, I had the installation modified in 2019 by fitting SolarEdge Optimisers to each PV panel and changing the Inverter. All done by Pure Energy (New Age Innovation Ltd). This resulted in approx 30% more output from the existing panels.
For some time, I have been thinking about battery storage to absorb the excess power that we were generating and exporting back to the grid - and then importing it back again at a much greater cost in the evenings! I finally made the plunge, having had a favourable quotation from Pure Energy - and I was very impressed by the speed of delivery and installation of the upgrade - just over a week from making my decision to proceed and having the battery and monitoring system installed!
The installation proceeded smoothly and I was able to log on to the monitoring system, guided by the staff at Pure Energy HQ. Thanks!

Professional and Friendly

Right from the 1st contact with Paul and then Harry O'Connell(Owner)they were very helpful and matched and gave me a better deal.
Louise Peters had been appointed my project in charge and was very helpful and communicated well.
I had my installation done today(17/4/24) with 20 panels(8.7Kwh) system 8 Kwh hybrid inverter and 12.9 kw battery(FoxESS).
I have to give flying colours to Mike who did this install-absolutely fantastic.Very neat work-no short cuts explained everything very patiently-full on 100 marks!!!
Brandon who put up the panels was equally helpful and did a very tidy and clean fit!!
Hopefully going forward if need be I hope that the customer service after sales team would be equally good.
Highly recommend this company.

100% happy

I had to pull out of an earlier deal on account of deteriorating health. I had spoken to marketing and sales executives Paul Gorman and Harry Ellis a while ago and was impressed with their knowledge of their subject Out of courtesy i told them i was not going ahead with anyone at this time but they assured me that they could handle the project quickly and with little input from me I gave the ok to take it to the next stage and within a week I had been given a spec and installation date and a very acceptable price. All the paperwork came through on-line which was quite straightforward even for an old technofobe like me. Louise and Paige handled the details and scaffolding was erected 3 days later. Although the HQ is based in Essex all the operatives were local, friendly and approachable - special mention to tech wizard Arron Arron and the roofers turned up on time the following Tuesday and carried fitted 6 off the 12 panels - meanwhile Arron was beavering away in the garage fitting the battery, inverter and all electrics. Unfortunately the weather closed in so they were unable to install the other 6 panels until the day after - in the event this was a opportune because we need BT / EE to put in the new fibre broadband with the new code which Arron needed to fire up the system. The job was completed by lunchtime and the sun came out to give the system a flying start . My daughter and family were down here on the school holidays and they have already contacted Paul
