I'm an old hand at politics, but I haven't bought campaign buttons in 30 years. Based on my previous experience, I figured buying 100 buttons would be moderately expensive, and there would be extra charges for each minor feature. Based on a Google search, I came upon PureBottons. I figured I'd poke around their website, see how things stood, and then set off deliberately to find a better price. But I never managed to leave their site. First, the price was surprising: $48 for 100 2.5" buttons, apparently without any upcharges. I put in the information, including the artwork, and was surprised not to encounter any required up-charges. I filled out the form expecting to see sales tax and shipping added - but they weren't. The price - really - was just $48. That would have been great, but the experience wasn't quite finished. The folks running the site apparently noticed that my artwork was badly pixelated, so they contacted me to see if I had something with better detail. As it happened, my artist had just contacted me to say he had sent a rough version by mistake. If PureButtons had gone ahead with the original version, I couldn't have blamed them - but they're apparently too professional. My only complaint - and it's minor - is that their process for approving the digital proof of the final design isn't well thought out. I approved it, but they seem to have missed my email. Their reminders were not a model of clarity, but we eventually connected. The buttons themselves arrived several days sooner than they promised. I really couldn't be happier. In fact, as soon as I think of a reason to distribute more buttons, I'll send in another order. I've actually told several friends about what a good deal they are. This is really a six-start purchase.
