The instructions that come in the box with the Slimline Shower Filter are completely not fit for purpose. I had access to a pdf document that the company sent me before I made the purchase which offers better instructions than the ones in the box but still not great. For example, they sell an angle pipe for if you don't have space with your setup because it's too close to the wall - but the instructions do not cover installation with the angle pipe. 
After a number of emails back and forth, I eventually had enough information to attempt the installation. The filter leaked dramatically from the central section. Turns out that the filter arrived with the rubber seal out of place. Not sure how common this is, but it was an extra bit of hassle for me.

They send plumbers tape/teflon tape with the filter and the instructions mention to wrap it around the male thread - but don't cover how to do this. I tried several times but the angle pipe and filter do not fit together properly to screw in all the way. This means that a portion of the plumbers tape is left visible. I had specifically asked if the plumbers tape would be visible after installation before purchasing and was told it would not be. In fact, it is visible in two places which is not visually not pleasing - but teflon is a toxic material. The whole point of buying a shower filter is to remove unhealthy elements from the water so it's obviously rather counter productive if the water is coming into contact with a toxic material post filtration. After I'd had multiple goes with them suggesting wrapping the tape round different numbers of time and still had tape visible, they suggested I try it without the tape at all and that might work. That suggestion would have been much more helpful at the beginning of the process. After so much hassle with it already and finally having it kind of working, I am reluctant to un-do it all to try again without the tape.
The company seems completely uninterested in feedback. I pointed out the gaps in the instructions a number of times. I asked why they don't have the resources listed on the product page/elsewhere on their website. To get every piece of information, it was necessary to write and email and then wait for a day or two to get a response. There is a phone number on their website, but it is a third party service and the people who answer the phone have no technical knowledge of the filters and they are unable to put you through to someone or arrange a call back. It took me several weeks before I had the filter installed relatively successfully as I had to un-do it after the first few attempts because of various issues and leaks (between me being busy and waiting for a response to my email). Simply not interested.
The finish inside the filter was also not great - a bit rough and a metal shaving in there.
In terms of the efficacy of the cartridge in filtering the water, I don't feel able to comment. I haven't noticed a difference. I already had a shower head that improves the water quality with some ceramic balls so perhaps I might have noticed an effect if I didn't have that. But I'm regretting the purchase. I have had a whole house filter in the past and I think the cartridge must be at the end of its life but I hadn't decided what to get in terms of replacing it and I thought this shower filter would be a quick, easy interim measure. Obviously this was a bad decision as this was a totally painful experience and not at all quick and easy....

Just read their reply to my review, it rather re-enforces my point. They are simply unable to take any feedback. 25 emails back and forth - why did that happen? I have better things to do than writing emails about shower filters, but the instructions they provide are not adequate and the product does not perform as they claimed it would so it was necessary to painfully go back to them after I tried each different thing they sent. The end result is still that the angle pipe does not fit onto the filter and plumbers tape is visible because the product is not as described. Then by way of "apology" they refunded me £2.25 for the angle pipe after wasting hours of my time having taken my money under false pretenses (i.e I had understood that I was paying for a product that would fit together properly and plumbers tape would not be visible. Jokers.

Excellent products has helped a lot with dry skin and stopped black bio from clogging shower head due to hard water. Products come with in a couple of days.

Fast delivery and an excellent product, could see the difference from day one. London is a very hard water area so it make a lot of difference to my skin. It was easy to feel and see the difference the luxury paragon shower head made. Bought 2 more for my brother and sister! They love it!

I recieved a shower head which was one that had been used for testing purposes which I wasn’t too pleased about.

I contacted Pureshowers by phone and email and they explained to me and apologised that this was one of the showerheads used for testing and assured me that this was by no means a used item. I recived an honest and transparent response which I appreciated and within a few days I recived a new shower head without having to return the original one. The communication once my concern was acknowledged was excellent. I’m really pleased with the shower head what I really like is that it doesn’t have the stop switch like the JML one does, which I had tried and the water flow just kept stopping. This shower head works just as I want it to so I’m really pleased Thank you so much😊😊😊

We are absolutely delighted with our new shower head. It is a fabulous edition to our bathroom.

The website presents the products well with all the information you need to make a decision which shower filter products suit your situation best. If in doubt the customer service team provide any questions you may still have before you buy.

Really does soften water and increases flow rate without being harsh. Also I use less of my shampoo and shower gels, so saving money there too!

A wonderful filter. I always had a problem with skin. I had a really bad rush on my back but after a 3 weeks of using this filter all skin problem gone. My skin is very smooth and sensitive. I highly recommend this product.

Brilliant filter and reasonable price.
Noticed the difference in water quality on my hair and skin.
Easy to install and has built-in ball joint to prevent strain/leakage at the connector point.
Most others you have to buy this separately.

Quick dispatch and no problems with delivery. Promotions quite often on site as well are nice touch. However, my Ionic Hand Held 3 Spray Shower Head Shower Filter is not the same as on the pictures - there is different curvature to the top of the head. I chosen that model for aesthetics, and was not delivered what I have ordered.

This seems a great company who value good customer service. I hope to buy from them again. The shower head I ordered sadly proved to be incompatible with my shower, but I had very good response, communication and advice from Pureshowers who then refunded me in full. Can't ask for better than that! Many thanks, service like this is hard to find these days.

very quick delivery and filter fitted as i hoped slight leak on centre joint but customer services e mailed with advice of how to stop this

We are very pleased with the filter. We only have a gravity shower, and the filter does restrict the flow slightly, but its benefits outweigh that. Soap and shampoo lather beautifully, and our scalps are now itch-free. A friend is already intent on buying one after hearing of our experience.

Great service when I had an issue with a leaking filter. I was offered a free replacement straight away. So far so good, and any advise needed they are at hand to assist.

Would definitely buy from them again when I need to replace my filters.
