The desk itself is a solid nice looking desk - however the glass top has a small scratch on it which I didnt notice originally, but since using it, I can feel it.

The desk has only been used twice and there is nothing on the desk which would have caused the issues - so assume it came like it.

My item will not be delivered as arranged, the communication about the delay has been terrible and I have not been advised if and when the item will be delivered.

At the moment, not a happy customer as plans were changed to take delivery of this item. With no reason for the delay.

I purchased the glass top desk from Puruslife and have to say I am disappointed with the quality of the glass top itself.

The rest of the desk functions great (which is why it isnt a 1* review) but unfortunately the glass top has scratches appearing on it after only a few months ownership.

I dont wear jewellery use a plastic water bottle and have rubbed feet on the bottom of the laptop so would expect this to happed.

I did reach out to them for support and they did respond saying this is something they havent seen before and it shouldnt happen. This doesnt change the fact that it has happened and ruins the look and quality of the desk.

I wouldnt recommend buying the glass top version from them

So I ordered a Purus life desk. It was a bit more expensive than some of the others out there but thought I would take a punt.

What can i say? I love it. I did have some issues with delivery but Stephen at Purus life was on the case and made sure I was kept update. That aside here are the good points.

1. So easy to put together
2. The instructions were easy to follow
3. Every set of screws were in different bags.
4. It’s very well made.
5. Very well packaged
6. Great to use

Once it was in place I feel it’s worth the money. If you want quality, you wont be disappointed. It’s a great quality desk.

The Desk was outstanding and a very fair price and was delivered on the time stated it would be.

I purchased a height-adjustable desk from Purus Life, which came with a 2-year warranty. After 1.5 years of use, the desktop became wobbly, making it difficult to work on.

I contacted customer service, provided clear photos and videos twice, and followed their instructions to tighten all screws—but the issue persisted. Instead of honoring their 2-year warranty, they kept stalling, repeatedly asking for more unnecessary evidence and refusing to process my claim.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Purus Life failed to take responsibility or offer a repair, replacement, or proper solution. Their warranty seems worthless, and their customer support is unhelpful.

If you’re considering buying from them, beware—if something goes wrong, you may be left with no support. I’ve now had to escalate the case to my bank and Trading Standards.

Would not recommend!

Good experience from order to setup!

Purchased on black Friday and had the product set up within days. Very clear comms from company and shipping company throughout (including notification of traffic delays on day of delivery).

Product is very easy to build and well made. Smooth action for raising and lowering the desk.

I was nervous about ordering from Puruslife because of the reviews, but was very happy with the outcome.
I ordered my desk on 10th September, it was on backorder, due in at the start of October. I received an email on 18th September confirming that the stock was due in at the start of October, and another on 9th October letting me know to expect to hear from the courier in the next couple of days. The courier (BJS) confirmed the delivery date and timeslot via email and whatsapp, and phoned half an hour before they were due to arrive at my house.
The desk arrived, the courier drivers were friendly and helpful.
The desk is fantastic, feels very sturdy, works well and looks great.

OMG! Why didn’t I read these reviews before I bought an electric desk!?!?!

I purchased it last week (1/8/24) was informed it would take till the middle to end of September to arrive! I needed it desperately for this week!!! Why in Gods name didn’t they inform me of an almost 2 month wait???? Incredibly slow email reply too. KEEP AWAY!!

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Purus Life and their delivery partner, BJS. The communication was abysmal, with countless phone calls and messages leading nowhere.

After being instructed to wait for a delivery time slot confirmation to change the delivery date, I was then informed that I had missed the 24-hour cut-off point, resulting in a £35 rescheduling fee. This appears to be a deliberate strategy to generate extra income from customers.

The customer service was unhelpful and failed to address my concerns. I would advise others to think twice before ordering from Purus Life and dealing with BJS. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

It's a nice desk but the purchase/delivery process was disappointing.

I had a failed delivery (which was my fault - I entered my old address by mistake) but I was charged £40 for a redelivery. The delivery company BJS were also 4 hours late and didn't offer compensation.

Because of this experience I wouldn't be in a rush to recommend this desk to anyone. It's also extremely heavy so you will need someone strong to build your desk.

Standing desk was durable good build and had worked fine for +6 months now.

Little pricey but lives up to expectation

Despite trying to change my order (id ordered the wrong colour) before it was delivered (2 days after order) i was told it would cost £35 for it to be sent back 10% of cost. Beware as soon as your order is accepted you can not change it.So much for UK commerical law of
14day cool off period. I will be trying to pursue this.

It really shouldn't be beyond a decent customer service organisation to reroute my order to someone wanting that color and tell me I might have to wait a couple of extra days, especially as I still wanted the product (not any more).

Very disappointed- received desk and worktop is frayed and poorly finished - have emailed purus life twice and also repeatedly phoned but nobody is answering or responding - can someone please advise - order number 4732 - Samir Sharma

I have the smart motorised desk. Excellent build quality and really pleased with my purchase. Some spacers for the cable tray were missing and they were dispatched within 24 hours of contacting the company. The delivery company, b&j, were also excellent.

I read previous reviews and was a bit wary of ordering but I couldn’t find any motorised stand up desks similar for a similar price so I took the plunge and ordered. I cannot praise this product enough. It is just what I was looking for and so easy to put together. The quality is great and contrary to other reviews, I had no issues with delivery or damaged boxes.

I ordered a desk from the website instead of Amazon as it was cheaper this way.

I was a bit worried because of the other reviews here however my experience was fantastic- the delivery was really smooth and the company was great

Setting up the desk took around 20min and it feels like great quality

I went for the white and oak (however in hindsight I wish I went for the all white version instead)

The desk is fantastic so far been using it for a couple of days now and love it

Have tried to order a desk 3 times and the payment doesn’t go through, from my wife’s card or mine. They have a rubbish payment system. When I called them they say the payment has t gone through, and when I called my bank they say the payment has gone through. Just rubbish.
The lady on the call was also not helpful. Didn’t care what I thought about the company or try to retain the sale. I’m never going to order from them - not that they care!

BJS Home delivery emailed me on 23 November 2022 confirming delivery information:
Delivery Date: Wed 30/11/2022
Delivery Window: 16:00 - 19:00
BJS Home delivery phoned 1647hrs 30 Nov 2022 to ask me to wait for them when they arrive because it is very dark! (name me one place in the UK which is BRIGHT in the Winter at 1647hrs). I asked where was their current location there was no reply.
Later they phoned again, I asked “where is their location?” They replied, “St Mary Street” (St Mary Street is pedestrianises and only open for emergency vehicles!)
I asked if they have the map I sent and they said yes. They said they will go to the loading bay and we will meet them there. I asked their vehicle number and he said, “XKP” I asked what number? and he said there was no number. We waited in the Bay Area about one hour in the cold and BJS Home delivery did not arrive! I called BJS Home delivery 7 times and no-one picked the mobile phone or the office number.

About 1850hrs the same day, BJS phoned to let me know the driver on the way back because they couldn’t get in. We were there waiting and at no time did anyone contact us to say they could not get in. As I said we contacted them multiple times to see where they were.
I waited in for my speciality item and also went and stood out in the cold to assist with their entry. The service is totally ridiculous. The people I spoke to had no idea of where they were travelling to despite being supplied a detailed map by me personally. I have never ever had another company say that they need me to come down to assist them because it is dark. They were the ones that set the delivery time!
I have wasted a huge amount of time and effort waiting for the delivery and was in touch with the office earlier to ensure everything was correct. I am still without the product and I am wondering if this is a SCAM as they did not give their full names, would not tell us where they were calling from and did not return calls when they did not turn up.
This is totally shameful and this company is a totally unreliable delivery company.
