Ethically compromised

I'm guessing they've either been bought by a new owner or have changed chief editors recently because the quality of the articles on this site have dropped considerably. The site never used to be about attacking PlayStation fans or readers in general, but unfortunately I've been seeing a lot of that recently on Push Square. Take their article about there apparently being less than 10 games that sold over 10,000 physical copies in the USA. The article is just a lot of false attacks on people who are complaining about physical games being removed as an option. It doesn't do any sort of intellectual thinking on how physical games sell better in other territories such as Japan, the UK or the EU. It doesn't ask the question how many switch games sell physically and why it's a lot more than on PlayStation. All of that would go against the narrative that this is a big “nothing burger” that Sony (who I would assume pay them to advertise their products and also provide early game copies for reviews) want to push out. Push Square haven't raised important questions like how it's crushing the second-hand market, or how that will affect people who work at places like CEX or GameStop, or how physical games are more often than not somehow cheaper than digital games at launch and how they drop in prices faster than digital games. Or how having less choices in where to buy your games is a bad thing even if you're fully invested into digital games. Or how steam games launch cheaper than PSN games and have deeper discounts than PSN games. I'm done with Push Square, there are still some independent sites that aren't compromised like they are. Stuff like this really makes me think that maybe the people who were saying gamergate was about the lack of ethics in video game journalism were correct and demonised by bought shills. If you can't trust these websites, then what is the point in going to them for anything?
