Scammers don't go near. My bank are investigating
On 8 January 2025, I ordered Oral B io 5 series. I didn't receive a confirmation email for the order but, before then I received a notification to my email saying to complete my order in basket. I received a notification the next day from the company where I'd made payment through that the order was posted.
I got curious on 15 January as I didn’t yet receive the order or any update.
So, I contacted the company I'd paid through and was told to download the app as I never did, and that I will see live updates of the order etc.
On 16 January, I downloaded the app
and to my utmost surprise, the seller had ordered from the USA and the order said delivered on 15 January.
Oops, I didn't receive the order though. I then sent 3 emails to the email addresses they'd said to contact them from their website, but 2 out of these emails bounced back through mailer-daemon. The third email, I didn't receive any response.
On that same 16 January, I made the courier company aware and was told via chat that the order was truly delivered on 15 January but the contact on the shipment label wasn't registered to my details. For reeeeaaal? The courier company weren't able to tell me who received the order, due to privacy reasons. But, I was told an individual private person received the order, not a company.
I then made aware the company where I'd paid through and they told me they are investigating and will update me soon.
As at today 21 January, the quotelo.store still have the Oral B io 5 series listing in Google. I also tried reaching the mobile number on their website and the number isn't active, said 'you've dialled an incorrect number'.
I shall give an update as soon as I hear regarding the investigation, if I have the opportunity.
I urge everyone to be careful of these scammers, as I don't think this store exist. I pray they are caught someday.
