Having gladly closed my Accounts, Rabobank is a shonky, greedy, selfish, disgraceful, blatantly biased and NOT customer focused foreign organisation.
Their own Customer Advocate is appalling, unhelpful and further biased actually against legitimate customer concerns, exemplifying the Rabobank ethos!
Dealing with Rabobank has been one of the most frustrating banking experiences I’ve ever had.
I tried to reset my password online, its a simple task, right? Wrong. The system constantly crashed, and after several failed attempts, I had no choice but to call customer service. I waited nearly 2 hours before anyone answered, only to be met with a representative who clearly had no idea what she was doing. I was sent in circles between the app, website, and phone instructions, and the issue still wasn’t fixed for days.
Their system is clunky and completely unfriendly, what a headache
I had forgotten my password and had to change my password online. I was unsuccessful in doing so and I needed the help of their customer service. First of all it took about 40 minutes waiting time before for my call got answered. Furthermore the customer service representative was rather unfriendly in explaining the process and she made me go back and forth from being on line to using the phone App. She seemed to have been unsure herself. She was all over the show and it took her another 30 minutes to be able to solve my issue. This was well over an hour taken out of my busy schedule.
Rabobank's new process is not very user friendly since the Digi-Pass has become obsolete. Customer Service need more (friendly and equipped) representatives on board to shorten the waiting time in their call center!
Rabobank took the money and 121 days later still won't let me access it. They say the linked account is incorrect but when I try to correct it they won't let me by saying that the new linked account is identical to the old one.
Setting up an account is really painful! They require you to officially certify your identity documents (I shared a copy, not good enough, they required a recent version) including a statement from the person certifying the document. This process is all handled manually through email, nothing is automated, and this will take you days. I decided to open an account somewhere else, this was completed within 10 min!
I have had bad experiences with companies holding my information for years and being a victim of data breaches. That's why I asked Rabobank to remove my information from their databases, I shared lots of sensitive data during the signing-up process. They keep denying my requests and intentionally holding on to all these details and documents, even though Im not even a customer with them, and I never was!
Rabobank treat you like a criminal if you travel outside of Australia. Rather than providing helpful service when you are overseas they accuse you of not being an Australian resident and close your accounts with no warning.
