Refund should be an option during times like these
We bought my father tickets for this in December for the March date as a Christmas present. The day before, it was canceled due to COVID! Then I’m told the date would be rescheduled. Now.... I realize that the tickets are listed non refundable, but my feeling is this. These are extenuating circumstances and bc they’ve not been able to give a date for rescheduling and are saying it maybe next year, I feel we should have the option of a refund. Also, my father has since had health problems arise that would prevent him from riding right now and don’t know when or if he would be at a point that it is safe for him. They did tell me I could sell but why not just refund.? Are they hurting for money that bad? Especially during times like these. I’ve not had any form of communication with them since date canceled, which I feel is unprofessional. I will not be recommending the experience to anyone. And feel that if your considering buying , you better wait.
If I could give them minus stars I…BIG SCAM
If I could give them minus stars I would. Due to covid restrictions the time they were scheduled to come to our local track they cancelled. They aren’t coming back anytime soon. Their policy is no refund and are sticking to their policy whether they show up to the track or not.
Worst American company COVID-19 response
My "experience" is scheduled April 25, 2020. I called customer service at the very start of the COVID-19 closings, so the beginning of March. The agent I spoke to said to hold off on cancelling and that there would be no fees/issues if I called back as my date approached. I called today April 1, 2020, as the news has stated the apex of the virus in TN is 4/26/2020, basically when it's at it's worst. I asked to cancel and they refused, stating they needed to move our date. This is totally unacceptable considering we are ALL living something we have never lived before and who knows what the future holds. If other states are hitting their peaks after TN, who wants to put on a helmet or sit in an enclosed vehicle with a stranger? This is so irresponsible, not to mention, people are out of work and could sure use the money back. This sure doesn't feel like we are united in this fight as Americans, Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. This feels awful. I am so disappointed as a decades long NASCAR fan. I know you're a business but there is government assistance out there right now for this very reason, losing money to this virus. Sometimes in business you lose, if ever there was a time for you to lose rather than the fans, this is it. People are dying, people are scared, people need help. "Ain't no right way to do the wrong thing".
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. In the wake of the Covid 19, Rusty Wallace Racing would not refund my money.

First did a 5 lap ride along at Inverness, Fla. short track. Lot of fun, driver very good, found myself holding my breath instead of breathing. Then I did a 20 lap run on my own. One of the most fun things I've ever done. Really a lot of fun. Everyone very helpful and friendly. A truly enjoyable experience and can't wait to do it again on a large track
We were scheduled for Feb 17 on…
We were scheduled for Feb 17 on Homestead at 3 PM, drove more than 2 hours, took a boring class of 45 minutes waiting in line on the sun for more than 2 hours to tell me they will re-schedule. I call a Bill Coady didn't even offer me anything back. The worst company you can book. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANy don't give money to these people, I'm planning to report them to BBB
And now they are replied trying to cover and lying, Bill told me it was mechanical issues not BCS of early issues. That is a lie. Please don't try to fix this I will do my best to get your reviews down. So don't try to reply trying to tell people you refunded my money and make customer happy.

Bought the Driving Experience package…
Bought the Driving Experience package for my honey...Phoenix Raceway and we couldn't have been happier. The staff was interactive (even though we were in the last group of the day) and pleasant. The instructor was a Champion Driver who came out to the infield after the class, encouraging the drivers and answering last minute questions.
This fulfilled a bucket list item for him (and it was so sexy to watch) ...and we might even save $$ to go again. I might even try the drive along myself next time...
RWRE...WRECKED my weekend!
I booked a session at Milwaukee Mile after receiving a voucher as a gift from a family member. The "confroamtion"(sic) email from Jen LaRose said that I had a Friday ride along instead of the Saturday opening that I had requested. I blew a vacation day and drove to Milwaukee Mile on the date indicated in the email. Upon arriving, the RWRE agent said she could not find my name on the Friday schedule...she found me on the Saturday docket instead. "Sorry about that, you'll have to come back tomorrow." What a waste of my time...very poor customer service!
You can't go wrong!
Bought this for my hubby, went with him to Orlando on Dec 8th, very impressed! They went over everything very clearly to ensure you had the best and safest time. Highly recommend the Ride Along even for experienced drivers. Purchase as many laps as you can afford, sometimes its cheaper to add them on the day but they will wish they had more. Hubby had 20 laps and was still wanting more. It is hot so dress cool, take a change of clothes even. But you will love it, awesome experience, he was lit after! I've already booked for him to do the larger track at Homestead!
The driving experience was exciting but…
The driving experience was exciting but the RWRE left much to be desired. I expect that other companies would have to try hard to be worse. RWRE was a very low budget operation. Customer Service was severely lacking at every turn, no pun intended. Several of the cars were broke down and one guy tinkering to get them running while we waited in line over 2 hours to get a ride-along(which in itself was eye opening) in the one ride along car that was running. The customer driven cars were very worn, switches broken, padding torn/falling off. several cars were required to be push started.
Information and Instruction was lacking to start and only got worse. The training class gave zero instruction other than to stay in the taped racing line. Other than shown a non working seatbelt as an example of what we would be wearing.
Once in the car, the spotter giving directions left me contemplating pulling into the pits and quitting. I was told to get in High gear and go but then aggressively reprimanded for entering the track. yelled at for not being in the line as I drove into the blinding sunset with a dirty plastic windshield that had masking tape for a sun visor.
Overall this is a great driving experience but the execution can easily be improved...
Better on track communication...
I realize I am in the minority, there are a lot of 4 & 5 star reviews.
Our event was in Fontana Nov 16th 9:00 am. We arrived early and class started on time approx 9:15. After class we waited almost 1 hour in the near 90' sun before getting on the track. Some of our same class members waited even longer. Once on the track & starting to get the feel of the car we were told to pit after about 3 laps. Come to find out a elderly lady, a participant, was taken to the hospital via ambulance before she ever left pit row. (heat stroke). We had to wait approx 30 mins for the ambulance to return. Once out on the track again I rolled around the apron waiting for instruction from my spotter to get onto the track and get up to speed...I went an entire lap around the track on the apron and was told "Oh Sorry car 11 pull on to the track when you are ready. Sorry, Man there are a lot of cars out there for me to keep track of".( same thing happened to my nephew) After 2 more laps I hear my spotter saying something I DID NOT UNDERSTAND, sounds like a bad drive thru window or a tired pilot at the end of a long flight.
Being cautious I pull to the bottom of the track and cruise around when I hear " Car 11, ( he is yelling now) get back into the race line, I was telling you you were doing a great job, not to move left"? 3 more laps go by, coming out of turn 4 I get passed on the high side by the instructor doing a ride along. If I am doing 100 he is doing 150 It Scared the living Crap out of me because I had no communication from the spotter that he was coming. Scared the Crap out of my family watching from pit row watching, what was about to be a collision Yes, To make maters worse I was about 1/2 a car width out of the race line, I was too high on the track, but I am the 1st timer here. A notice please
Bare bones and unprofessional.
I did the ride along and 10 lap drive at Nashville on 11/9/2019. Bought everything except the plaque. The ride and driving experience, of course, was amazing. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 comes down to the customer service and lack of organization. This is a bare bones operation. Most of my group that was scheduled to drive at 10 am, had to wait at least 30 minutes for a proper fitting helmet. There weren't enough driver suits either.
Jen was terrible. Very rude to many customers. Not sure why she has a job or why she would want one there. If you're not happy, move on.
The professional video had over a hundred random pics on it before my drive. Yes, easy to delete but not very professional.
I'll drive again, but Rusty Wallace Racing Experience won't be getting my money.
COME ON RUSY WALLACE RACING, IS ANYBODY IN CHARGE!!!
When dealing with outdoor events you should have a clear plan of dealing with it. Upon arrival today at Texas Motor Speedway, there was no clear direction of where to go. When we finally figured out where to go, no direction was to where to check in. After that and the driver meeting, it's a free for all on getting your suits and helmet, not organized or sorted. Finally to the real issue. We were dealing with rain and extremely high winds. After an hour of trying to hear something, we were told we are going to have to wait another hour for a decision when it was clear by now the track wasn't getting better. As several were leaving, we were told that we had to wait another hour for a decision. By now we are 2 hours past our scheduled race time and there appeared to be nobody in charge if making a decision, rather it was like we were just being stalled for an inevitable decision. Finally someone took control and said we could continue to wait or we should be able to reschedule! SHOULD??? Come on Rusty Wallace Racing, get organized!!!
beware of #46 at Charlotte
The car I was assigned #46 should have been retired long ago. Windshield scratched so bad you could barely see the track. Sounded and ran like it was only running on 5 of 8 cylinders don’t think it was capable of hitting 60 mph (foot to the floor) and looked as bad as it ran. They preached safety in the media room but clearly not the case when I got in #46. Very disappointing experience so beware the equipment is worn out and does not perform as it should probably why they push the upgraded cars after you arrive.
Bad experience
Cars were in poor shape and they kept having problems. The windshield was so scratched up that you could see worth a crap. Even the people were great it was a very bad experience. I'm kinda shocked that Rusty Wallace would put his name on it.
I drove at Dover
I drove at Dover, took the 3 laps with a Pro first. Definitely worth it. Then my laps were awesome!! The whole experience was worth every penny. I'm doing it again next year!!!!
Dover 10.12.19
Raced before with a different company. Prior experience the spotter talked you through the preferred line and you had two way communication. At Dover the line was marked with tape. Very little encouragement from the spotter. My experience with prior company was much better. That said, I would like to come back to the same track with you now that I know what to expect in hopes of improving my experience.
All in all I had a good time. Bit of a better value also.
12 laps on the historic Milwaukee Mile - September 14, 2019
Thank you very much to the Rusty Wallace team for making it an awesome and unforgettable day. They each did a fantastic job of being so patient, friendly, helpful, courteous, informative and just fun to be around!
That included check-in, driver's meeting, suits and helmets, getting comfortable in and helped out of the ride along car, the ride along
driver, the photographer and being safely strapped into and out of the Dale Earnhardt Junior, red, Budweiser #8 Chevy.
I was thrilled to actually drive a race car on the legendary Milwaukee Mile! It is a pretty flat oval that has challenged every race car driver at every level.
It was an amazing experience which created fond memories that I have shared with everybody I know since that day. I can't stop thinking about and rehashing every moment of that day in my mind.
Being back in a race car after 25 years of being retired from racing has surely made me feel 10 years younger!
Do the Rusty Wallace ride along and drive. I'm already planning for my next one.
Thanks again RW team.
