Well made and easy to use bit of kit
Well made and easy to use bit of kit. Saves having to drag the mains-powered geiger counter out to check stuff. The additional dose rate in microSeiverts/Hr is also very useful. (I haven't got round to using the spectroscopy features yet.)

Impressive and useful product
So far (about three weeks after delivery) I am very impressed with the Radiacode 102. It is compact, easy to use and accurate enough for my intended use. The software makes a big difference when using the device and I find activities such as contributing to the Radiaverse map quite stimulating. There seems to be an extensive company as well as user support base for the Radiacode products and their use and I am reaping the benefits of this. Overall highly impressed.

Great Product Poor instructions
Generally, a great product. I am impressed by the quality of data generated from such an inexpensive gamma-ray spectrometer and being able to subtract out background makes if much more useful. The support staff gave a rapid reply to my questions.
I do have a couple of negative comments, largely dealing with the operating instructions. You need to be much more specific about the turning on and off procedure! You need to provide detailed instructions for removing saved background spectra. In general, more detailed information on all aspects would be helpful.
One technical change I would like is that of assigning an element to a peak by sliding your finger over the iPhone screen. I found it difficult to get to the exact keV. Could you have some controls on the iPhone to move the cursor as you approach the known keV as I constantly over- or undershot the true value.
