A cracking radio which does it all.

I bought a new 7100 for the shack whilst my old second-hand bought 7100 is in for a USB TX issue with Radioworld's Service Department. Since I'm familiar with the radio, and wanted to fit one in my Caravan (the old one). I mainly use this radio for Digital Modes, usually FT8/FT4, but also for the RAYNET HF Team for Voice and Olivia Data Mode for NVIS Operation during weekly Transmission Tests. Whilst I rarely use more than 30W in the Shack, the 3.3MHz Doublet I use has an SG-235 Smartuner capable of 500W. Once repaired the older 7100 will be used on another Doublet tuned by an SG-230 (supports 200W), and TX will not exceed 30W PEP.

My first dive into d star and still learning feels like a good well made radio I have the base mounted under the desk with the Icom bracket . Haven’t used it much on hf yet and looking forward to trying it on hf all round seems a good radio.

Great radio
Great radio and awesome build quality
Super piece of kit everything in one box. Usual great Icom quality.
All in one covers everything especially good for the sporadic conditions at the moment.
Always good quality and excellent service.
I LIKE THE ICOM 7100, AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT, ITS A SUPERB ALL ROUNDER..
Splendid "shack in a box" both for HF and VHF
Love this radio. Does everything very well, if maybe nothing absolutely outstanding. It isn’t a contest radio after all, but unless you are a contester, it’s great! And it doesn’t take up much space either. And if the bands are rubbish, you can use D-STAR. What’s not to like?
