Works well on tx/rx but when trying tx on 40metres it would not transmit above 7.1 mhz, with transmit all modes limited to 7 - 7.1 mhz. looks like this rig was sold originally in to another world region. So, looking up info on this it was a matter of removing diode within the set. Band coverage on 40 metres is now full 7 - 7.2mhz. all other amateur bands have full coverage. all's well that ends well.
