I am sorry that I can’t review this product yet because I am using my original software to try and program my radio and even with updating the drivers I cannot for the life of me get the Com Port to open using various numbers! My Icom software CD that I am using is dated 2008! Maybe your cable needs other software? Please advise me Richard A Clamp de G0IMD

Thank you for your review. The USB‑92D cable is fully compatible with the IC‑92, but the original Icom software from 2008 can sometimes struggle with modern Windows systems and COM‑port handling. The cable itself doesn’t require additional software, but the radio programming software may need updating or running in compatibility mode. If you’d like, we can help you check the correct driver setup and COM‑port configuration to get you up and running.
