Best CD and Savings rates available.

I have been a member of Raisin now for about 2 years. The banks under the Raisin umbrella are all FDIC insured and offer some of the best saving and CD rates available. Depositing and withdrawing is made very easy with Raisin. I highly recommend Raisin to anyone that is currently making only .25% to 3% on their money in their own banks or institutions. Give it a try and see how easy making and moving money can be.

Poor customer service and difficulty accessing funds

I've had an account with Raisin for at least two years now. Last month, I arranged to transfer money from my external savings account into my Rasin cash account so I could put it into a high-yield savings account. When I logged in a few days later to move the money into an interest-bearing account, I was locked out and could not access any part of my account. I received an email that told me I had to follow a link to reconfirm my identity. The link asked me to agree to allow a third-party software to access my personal information and use it to "improve its platform and services." I contacted customer support and told the agent that I was not comfortable with doing that and would not accept the condition. She said it was the ONLY way to verify my identity, which is absurd since I didn't have to do that to open the account. She also wouldn't tell me why the account had been locked. She acknowledged that my recent funds transfer was in the noninterest- bearing cash account. She offered no solution to the impasse, so I told her to close the account and return all of my funds to my external bank account. I have repeatedly checked on the status of my funds and now, nearly a full week later, they are still not returned. Today, I received the notice finally that the transfer to my external account had been arranged, and that it could take an additional 5 to 7 business days to be completed. I cannot recommend this banking platform. They are not transparent and gaining access to my funds is more difficult than it should be.

My phone call regarding questions about CD Renewals and other issues of comcern

My phone call regarding questions about maturing CD's was quickly answered with good knowledge and without hesitation.
I have entrusted Raisin with my savings for quite some time now and have come to really appreciate the fact that I can use one platform to access many banks offering top interest rates in FDIC insured accounts, while being able to spread out the risks keeping balances just under the insured limit of 250K with each of your participating banks.
One of my ever growing concerns is the security of my savings both online and at local banking institutions. Given the advances in AI and a growing global level of nefarious actors who remain out of reach from the justice system, who are forever increasing at an alarming rate and getting more sophisticated all the time, this issue should be paramount in your companies priorities.
Your business model is brilliant but you must do more to convey your shared concerns and what you're doing to ensure that every customer is protected, and given the tools to mutually ensure those protections.

Good luck collecting your funds

Good luck collecting your funds out to an external account. They make it so hard. People work for the company are incompetent; switching my external account (due to closure) was nightmarish. So much of my time was wasted on repeating myself.

High Quality Service

Frankly, what made my experience great was the guidance provided by Connor, the man at the end of the help desk. My challenges were all due to my lack of knowledge. The site turns out to be easy to use. Raisin is a service provider between a number of banks and individual customers. Money deposited with Raisin takes 2 business days to get into a bank and another 2 days to withdraw.

Scam

I had a frustrating experience with this service. My account was locked after a failed transfer, and I was asked to re-verify my identity. The issue is that they only accept U.S.-based ID documents, and I don’t have a U.S. driver’s license or state ID.

I tried using my passport and visa, but that wasn’t accepted, so I’m now unable to access my account or funds without documents I simply don’t have.

Support was responsive, but the requirements are very restrictive and not clearly flexible for non–U.S. ID holders. I wish this limitation had been made clearer upfront before I signed up and deposited money.

Overall, the platform feels difficult to use if you’re not already fully documented with U.S. identification.It almost feels like I don't have agency over my own money.
