When visiting London from the US, I had an emergency with one of my eyes which was swollen and bloody, and I could not see out of it. The Cleveland Clinic in London referred me to Moorfields Private Eye Hospital. Dr. Deshmukh saw me the same day. After examination and tests, he diagnosed my problem and prescribed drops. I saw Dr. Deshmukh for follow up appointments as well. My eye was greatly improved, and I continued the same treatment back in the US.
Both Dr. Deshmukh and his assistant Paula Jessup were kind, pleasant, and efficient. They put me at ease and acted swiftly. I would recommend them highly.

I was extremely apprehensive about having cataract surgery. Mr Deshmukh explained the various options and implications. Following the operation my vision is very good indeed and I’m able to start again some hobbies and activities. It’s been a very positive and transformative experience.

Mr Deshmukh did cataract surgery on both my eyes four years ago. This week I had some laser treatment as one eye was not seeing clearly. Almost immediately I could see clearly again which seems like a miracle but is actually due to skill and professionalism.

Being informed that I required cataract surgery on both eyes initially filled me with fear. However, during my first meeting and throughout the entire process at Moorfields, Mr. Deshmukh made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The operation was completed in just 45 minutes, and the next day, my vision was perfect. I could legally drive within two days, though I waited until the fifth day to do so. I would like to thank my eye surgeon Mr Rajesh Deskmukh for performing my bilateral IOL's surgery, yes both eyes on the same day. I am now 100% spectacle FREE as he fitted me with multi focal Toric IOL's.

In November 2025 I had cataract surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. My surgeon, Mr. Raj Deshmukh put me at ease on my initial consultation, was very reassuring and helped dispel my worries and concern as I have a prosthetic right eye so only have vision in my left. He also explained in great detail all the available lens options and together we decided on the enhanced mono focal toric lens. The operation itself was quick and painless and I am so pleased and delighted with the outcome! Mr. Deshmukh is an amazing surgeon and a lovely human being who really listens to you and inspires confidence and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering cataract surgery. I cannot thank him enough and thank you too to his practice manager Paula Jessop who was so helpful and available throughout the process.

I received great care and attention during my immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery at the beginning of November 2025. All the options were carefully explained with no hurry or pressure to make a choice. On the day I received excellant care from all the team, including from the professionally friendly anaesthetist, Dr David Celaschi who helped and reassured me.

I was absolutely petrified in having been told that I needed cataract eye surgery on both my eyes. Mr Deshmukh put me at ease at my initial consultation and throughout the procedure at Moorfields. The surgery was completed within 45 minutes and I was able to see perfectly the following day. I was legal to drive within 2 days but delayed this until day 5. I’ve been wearing contact lenses for over 40 years due to severe short-sightedness. When I developed cataracts, I got in touch with Mr Deshmukh but the prospect of cataract surgery was daunting. However, from my very first consultation, I was struck by his professionalism, expertise, and calming reassurance. Mr Deshmukh performed laser treatment on me after I developed a post cataract surgery problem. The original cateract surgery was not performed by him. The diagnosis and action was very quickly and professionally undertaken, within the same day. The charges were clearly explained to me as well as the possible chances of side effects.
My surgery was performed and it turned out that there were no adverse side effects. I was very pleased with the service provided by Mr Deshmukh as well as his back room staff who were very professional and courteous.
