The best thing about this company you get money for nothing just for spending what you normally spend on your normal shopping and £25 for refer a friend is the best

Easy to use, good service

Always been fine until recently. I have referred quite a lot of friends now & the last two (December & March) have been pending since. They have tracked, all sorted but not paying out.

I have reached out several times and either get generic responses about referral T&C’s (not relevant to me) or saying it will be looked into but not getting anywhere.

I am hopeful this review is another avenue that a resolution can be made as been waiting 6 months now.

I am surprised by this conclusion and would appreciate further clarification.

I have used Rakuten for a number of years and have successfully referred multiple genuine friends and family members without issue. The two referrals in question were legitimate new users who completed the required actions and tracked correctly within my account.

Could you please explain:

* What specific activity led to the suspension of my account?
* Which section of the referral programme terms you believe has been breached?
* What evidence has been used to determine there was an attempt to abuse the bonus system?

I have been trying to resolve this for several months and would appreciate a detailed explanation rather than a general statement.

Rakuten continue not to reply to any messages I send after blocking my account. I can't claim the cashback I've earned or use the website to gain more. Feeling pretty hard done by.

joined Rakuten earned money just by going to my favourite online stores via them and got money into my bank account quickly without any problems very happy to receive free money.

I may as well echo the experience of another customer, as their words perfectly reflect my own dealings with this company.

Terrible. I made a purchase in December specifically because they offered a £25 bonus for both myself and the person who referred me on purchases over £50. Months later, it is still pending despite numerous messages and emails. The referrer has not been paid either. Their explanation is that the partner company has not confirmed my purchase.

Frankly, that is not the customer’s problem. If they choose to partner with other companies, it is their responsibility to ensure those partners uphold their obligations. Instead, customers are left chasing, with little to no accountability on their side.

The entire process has not been worth the effort. Communication has been poor, responses have been slow, and when they do reply, the tone is often dismissive and unhelpful. It’s particularly concerning given that they collect customer data—presumably for profit—while failing to honour the incentives used to attract sign-ups.

Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. I would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up for any bonuses or referral rewards.

The app is easy to use & any monies earned are deposited in your bank on the exact day they should be.
