Oh hell no
The first clue should have been any time you type anything involving nursing education in google this school comes up at the top as a sponsored result. Digging deeper after my wife tried to attend. This is a for profit institution. I will not go into the absolute S--t S--w this place has been from admissions to financial aid to scheduling. My wife was quoted around 36k per year to attend of which she was graciously given the opportunity to apply for around 9k of student debt. She also applied to a real higher learning university, Duke, and total out of pocket including room and board for the year would be 2k. They also appear to simply grade students ability to teach themselves the material. They are also on there third year of probation. Run away.
HORRIBLE
HORRIBLE. RUN! This school does not care about its students. Only the money! They are unorganized, unprofessional, and will switch policies making it harder for you to succeed even when you’re so close to graduating. They incorporated this new Ati policy which if you don’t obtain a level 2 even if you’re passing the actual class exams and assignments and clinicals you automatically fail the class! They changed this while I was further along in the program instead of just making that law for the new students entering. They’re on probation for risk of accreditation. Also, I don’t know how my times my schedule has gotten changed last minute and I can go on! Just don’t waste your time, money, or energy. Your mental health will get ruined!
This school is a joke
This school is a joke! Once they have you enrolled, once they get your money, good luck getting ahold of anyone for help. They called me three times a day to get enrolled and signed up. I should have taken a hint when the school onboarding was sloppy.

Returning to Rasmussen University has…
Returning to Rasmussen University has been the biggest regret I made! First Semester started off wonderful! My professor was very attentive to the class, quick to respond to emails, thorough in lectures and explaining assignment in great detail, and genuinely cared about his students! This was not the case Second Semester - you're not notified of classes until Monday of the same quarter - therefore you start off slightly behind. Everything is self-taught! YOUTUBE AND GOOGLE HAVE BECOME MY BESTEST FRIENDS! Grades are not inputted into the system in a timely manner, either causing your formal grade to decline or assignments/homework marked as late. Sometimes, certain assignments will go without grading after teachers expressed to potentially grading those same assignments! I still have assignments from Week 2 to Week 4 that have yet to be graded in Finance Accounting! It is frustrating! Especially when they are unfamiliar with operating Microsoft Teams for class meetings and lectures. Lisa Callihan is one of the worst teachers by far - she'll do these "quick lectures" and post her information for students to contact her with questions, but once you do; Ms. Callihan will claim that you are harassing her. She teaches Communicating In Your Profession. I cannot wait to pass these classes and transfer elsewhere. Everything I've learned up to this point, I learned on my own accord.
This was one of the worst jobs I ever…
This was one of the worst jobs I ever had. Extremely unorganized and a huge communication gap. Many of the students and student workers complained about the management. During the interview, they told me one job description. But when I was hired it turned out to be way more. They have no problem sending you to the wolves to meet their goals. Which is why they are 'for profit.' There is little to no support staff on campus and they expect you to be a self learner. Be aware. They offer the sign on bonus but have no problem letting you go so you have to pay them back. Because it is a lump sum check, the government will take 35% of the check for taxes. And when the college demands their money back, YOU have to pay back those taxes. So, you actually lose money. They have had the same job postings for months and even well over a year. Because nobody local wants to work for them. So, they have to reach out of state to hire hoping people do not know their reputation.
Warning, Rasmussen University Uses Poor Business Tactics
I applied at Rasmussen University in Ocala Florida School of Design after speaking to the student administrator/advisor. I started in 10/2021 and attended for 9 weeks before withdrawing. I transferred with an A.S. degree in Graphic Design for Print, with a goal of obtaining a B.A. degree in Graphic Design. Before signing the student application, I made it clear that I was widowed, disabled, and on a fixed income. I was adamant that I was not going to apply for a Federal Student Loan and didn’t apply. I did apply for the 2021 FASFA, which I did receive. I was told that there were grants and scholarships that would help supplement the cost combined with the FASFA. Nearly six weeks into the 11-week semester, I realized that I had been manipulated and deceived. At that point, I was given a 5 ½ week semester, which was unexpected. Therefore, I was a week late for the semester, which left me very far behind in the short semester. This made it impossible for me to catch up.
According to the student catalog, you must make payment arrangements prior to the start of the semester, and it is the administrators that take care of the details of the financial part of your education. So, when I received a call from my student administrator/advisor and was told everything was good to go, it was implied to me that financially, everything was squared away. I had asked repeatedly to speak with the Financial Aid office but was to discover that there was no such office available to students. Eventually, I would discover that there is only a collection department once they contacted me informing me there was a balanced owed. When I contacted my student administrator/advisor, he told me that my paperwork was probably lost and not to contact the collection department. “Don’t worry about it. Everything is taken care of,” he said. This suggested to me that grants and scholarships had not yet been applied to my account.
Rasmussen has been an ongoing nightmare for me, from moving me from the University of Design in Florida to Minnesota, overcharges on my account, to insisting I sign up for a Federal Student loan because President Biden was going to issue a Federal Student Loan forgiveness program. Silent videos inside lectures from LinkedIn Learning, 6:30 a.m. phone calls to be hung up on, threatening emails to pay my bill when I had just made a payment. My active student email has recently been deleted, yet my Dropbox is still accessible and is attached to the student email. The email was the way I was making monthly payments. My student email was deleted after I was informed that an investigation by BPPE, the Department of Consumer Affairs, was being launched into Rasmussen University.
There is only an implied contract and nothing in writing. The only contract available is in the student application, which pertains to Federal Loans, not personal payments. I was also told by three different people that payments would be applied to my credit score, and this has not happened yet.
Update: As I was writing this, I received an email stating that “We do not report to credit bureaus”, only if you miss a payment, I was told and harassed with emails, and early phone calls ending with a hang-up. And “We do not provide any formal statements, letters, etc. regarding the payment arrangement. We offer students to make payments as a courtesy.” This is in response to an email I sent requesting to have my payments applied to my credit and a statement of understanding. I recently spoke with a pro-Bono contract attorney who told me that Rasmussen must supply a Statement of Understanding so that they cannot just do things “Willy Nilly”. Nothing I have received in this recent email is written in the student application or the student catalog. I have received nothing in writing that I will be paying over the phone since I no longer have access to my student email. Rasmussen University has poor business practices and at the end of the day, it comes down to Buyer Beware. So, heed my warning and stay far away from Rasmussen University.
Why give a study guide when you know…
Why give a study guide when you know you don’t have control over the exam? It is terrible that instructor will give you a study guide and none of the stuff came out. Why not let the students study wide. Nothing in the study guide came out. What is the point of assignment if they really don’t count towards passing. That time we spent on assignment can be pull towards studying for exam. If assignment don’t help you pass
You get out of it what you put into it
You get out of it what you put into it. Majored in Finance and got a 80k financial analyst position for a fortune 200 company two months after graduating. 7 months 10 days later got promoted and will make 100k this year if you include bonuses.
Stay far away from this school they…
Stay far away from this school they lack integrity and honesty.I just finished my first quarter took 3 classes and they failed me in one course do to a nuty instructor who was incompetent and dishonest.I had my choice of attending 5 nursing schools and I chose Rasmussen huge mistake.I came into the school with a 92% on my teas exam and a stellar GPA yes 92% top one percent in the country.Rasmussen only requires a 65% on the tease. After getting this grade and trying to have the advisor two dean's address this issue all I got from them is dishonesty.Do not trust this school with your future you will be rolling the dice I'm trying now to transfer to another school I am absolutely sickened by them cheating me out of a grade and my money my advice to all the folks who have been screwed by Rasmussen is to contact the medical board of Minnesota and file a formal complaint contact a Miss Marilyn krasowski she handles these issues
also go online and expose this school for what it is A HUGE SCAM leave reviews online everywhere Facebook Instagram all the nursing boards online give detailed information as what the school has done to you I will be setting up a Facebook group for scammed students by Rasmussen so please look out for that in the next few days and join I am determined to teach this school a lesson that they cannot step on folks scam them rip them off and get away with it ,good luck to all and cheers !!!!!
I just completed this first semester at…
I just completed this first semester at Rasmussen and I am contemplating changing colleges while now before I waste all my time, money and energy. I completed pathophysiology, all my assignments were at 100% however my exam scores were below the 78% threshold. Therefore I failed the entire class. I missed this by 4 questions. First this class is taught soley online, the instructor taught from power points that had minimally covered the context on the exams. I attended each and every class, did my reading and felt fairly confident I would do well had I not I would have dropped like the rest did. That's the other point about 1/2 the class dropped right away the ones that stayed lots failed. They won't show or tell you what you got wrong. You are left with the option of moving forward, retaking the class and hope to hell to don't fail another cause then you are kicked out of the program and all your time and money gone, you simply can't transfer these credits. I feel that if your going to commit to Rasmussen they should give you options to complete the program fully. I am just questioning this school - to me it seems that are just taken your money. Personally I am not sure I want to travel down that road.

This is my second review and I am…
This is my second review and I am closing in on being done at Rasmussen. I have been hesitant to divulge my identity to the people who have reached out from Rasmussen due to the fear of retaliation by instructors. I did have communication at one point and thought I would have a phone conversation, but that has not happened. Regardless, I am nearing the end, thank goodness.
Most recently the lack of equitable treatment has been unbelievable. Blaine campus, new instructor, cannot complete skills assessments timely and in the class time (despite other instructors being able to do so). Therefore the balance of the class is being told that anyone who has not completed their skills assessment has less than half the time of those who completed in classes prior. And if the skills assessment isn't completed prior to the "12 minutes" that those points will be lost. This, after the first half of the class was allowed at least 20 - 25 minutes per person to complete the same assessment. This is likely related to her being a new instructor, first class ever taught, who doesn't know how to organize the class time. Should this impact the balance of the classes grades inequitably, each student should file an appeal. We all work hard, all pay the same enormous prices, yet due to a disorganized new instructor, some people may be penalized unfairly. This is not exactly unique. The lack of experience/knowledge and responsiveness of some of these instructors is really sad and costly.

Nursing Program
I have attended previous colleges before and Rasmussen is by far the best I have been to. I was on a waiting list for 2 years with a prior college for their nursing program, started looking around at other colleges, and found Rasmussen. I applied in February, was accepted in March, and started classes in April! Now I am on track to graduate in June of 2023! I must say one of the best things about Rasmussen is the Admissions Advisors, specifically Stacey Willard!! She has worked with me every step of the way! I feel like I am a very organized person but she was so amazing in keeping up with me and helping make sure I had everything needed and submit throughout the whole process, even now as a current student she is STILL working with me and helping me with any questions I have! Also, I have never been a part of a school that truly feels like they care about their student's success. Every single one of my professors (I'm taking 5 classes this quarter) has worked with us in-depth, making sure we understand what is expected of us and doing everything they can to help ensure we pass our boards on the first try. I truly mean that they have overachieved with student success. I have a classmate that was not computer savvy and the teacher stayed after class to show her how to navigate the platform. I am so amazed at the amount of support I have had so far in my program. I would 100% recommend Rasmussen University in Florida to anyone!

Do not attend this school by all means!
Do not attend this school by all means!
wish I could rate this so-called "university' a zero. I have had the worst educational experience in my life. This place is just a diploma mill. If you are searching for a technology school- please stay away! You are not going to learn anything. I was a Cybersecurity program student and feel robbed. None of the instructors care to explain materials, tools, and advance technology. I felt like this program has been abandoned for years. The program director doesn't bother to revise or at least look at the materials presented to students and make changes. The hyperlinks embedded for additional study and reading are broken and lead to malicious sites selling fake IDs. The assignments for core classes are outdated, written poorly, with many mistakes. Even after numerous complaints to instructors and advisors nothing has been changed. It is a shame to raise tuition and not provide quality education to students. The majority of instructors for cybersecurity classes are reluctant to explain the material and assignments and don't like when students call them with questions, and overall don't care how you complete the module assignment or whether you understood the topic. You will waste your time and money at this school and learn nothing about the industry. The servers are often times down, the tools and applications are outdated, with expired licenses. You will have to wait a day or two to get in the SOT sandbox to complete your tasks.
Career advisors are a big joke. They are not helpful at all. They will not care if you struggle to find a job after you graduate. If you are in the bachelor's degree program the career advisors services are useless. They will talk to you in a condescending tone and remind you that you are not the only one here needing help, so therefore they can't help. Or they will throw some general ideas like set up LinkedIn and go from there. Again, stay away at all costs! This school is not worth the price you will have to pay.

Poor unskilled student advisor
Poor unskilled student advisor, after starting a online course all the way thru finals for a semester student advisor Chelsey Positano calls me and tells me they do not reorder the background check their policy is to decline the admission WOW they should have never allowed me wasting time for the semester tons of paperwork, grants and no one feels that they are responsible to see all paperwork is in before finalizing admission terrible experience with this school .Terrible communication given by her and the school .

Terrible experience!! Chat users beware!
Not a great first experience with this school. I reached out via chat today as a prospective student and was having a conversation about different options. I don't know the chat agent's pronouns, but they were chatting with me were not friendly at all. What I find most concerning is that they responded to something I had typed into the chat box but had not yet sent.
They asked me "Do you have an associates or prior college?" and I started typing this response but DID NOT send it yet, "I appreciate you answering my questions. I think I will look at other programs and then maybe come back to this one. Honestly, you have not been the most friendly or welcoming person I have talked to. That may be something you want to work on."
This was sitting in my text box within the chat unsent when the chat agent responds with "Ok sorry you feel that way. I'm just trying to explain it to you so you can actually understand it. Have a great day and best of luck to you!"
How on earth can they respond to a message I have typed but hadn't sent? The only answer? They are monitoring what you type before you send it.
I had sent my message right after they sent their response, although I hadn't seen theirs yet when I sent mine. I had decided to take out the "Honestly you have not been the most friendly or welcoming person I have talked to. That may be something you want to work on" section because I didn't want to be rude, and sent the rest.
When I noticed their response, I was baffled as to how they can already have responded to a message I hadn't sent yet, and when I replied, "Feel what way?" The agent, having been caught red handed, started typing something and then stopped and abruptly ended the chat.
I will never attend this school based solely on this one shady interaction. Rude. Unethical. Dishonest. I do have screenshot and video proof of the chat conversation.
If you are going to chat with this school, just beware that they will be watching everything you type, not only what you intentionally send.

Do not go to this school if you are…
Do not go to this school if you are expecting an organized, pleasant experience. Their policies favor the institution, not the students. NO flexibility whatsoever. Your schedule will NOT be released until 1-3 before the start of the quarter meaning you have to have an extremely flexible job. The technology works half of the time and things are so unorganized we "pretend" to do the care rather than actually go through it as you would in the real world. If you don't get 100% on the dosage calc tests at the beginning of the quarter you are out of luck and will not be advancing. They use ATI which works about half of the time. Only online textbooks. Raise tuition constantly. There have been 3 different deans in the 1 year that I have attended the school. The teachers are nice and advocate for the students but the management doesn't care. Not to mention you don't get access to your classes until the Monday the quarter starts, so you start out behind right away.

Please do the research
I only give 2 stars to give credit to the few instructors who are actually quite excellent, otherwise, this program was chaotic and disorganized. When I first started at the Bloomington Campus, it was reasonably smooth especially related to all the changes with the pandemic. Suddenly in 2021, everything changed and started to decline very quickly. Massive changes to the structure of classes, the platform, the expectations of the program - all changed to make finishing almost impossible. In the last quarter (Dec 2021), we were not allowed to see our schedules until after the quarter started which made planning difficult. Our clinical placements were up to 2 hours away. My particular site did not want students there, were terribly unwelcoming, and let us only pass medications. No real-world experience except a little time in the SIM lab. Be prepared to familiarize yourself with the appeals process - I never thought I would have to use it until I was threatened with discharge from clinical because I was asked to quarantine (BY THE SCHOOL) for having Covid symptoms. Policies are applied haphazardly. Cheating is apparently a huge issue. It seems if they cannot isolate the people doing it, the whole cohort is punished for it. I had to take one ATI exam over and was never given any satisfactory answer other than the "code was compromised". Do the research - check out the completion rate of the program and the NCLEX pass rate. The program is so expensive especially given the level of education received. I found myself mainly watching YouTube videos for concepts for the NCLEX. I felt like the school purposely threw up as many roadblocks as they could to avoid completing the program. I felt like I was fighting for my life in the last quarter to get done and I was an honor roll/dean's list student. The instructors are not allowed to make any independent teaching decisions. Everything has to run through the Deans who must get 3,000emails/daily. One instructor had not even seen the tests he was to administer as part of the class so he didn't know to best prepare us. When the test covers 20 chapters of information, over 30 disorders, and 5 weeks of accelerated material, some direction would have been nice. Buyer beware - I understand the desire to start quickly and get through quickly especially if you are an LPN with a lot of experience like me. I would have been better off waiting for the local technical/community colleges programs to accept me. The last 6 months of this program nearly broke me financially, mentally, and emotionally. The completion rate is below 40%. There is a reason for that. These credits will not transfer to another university or college. Once you in it, it's either finish or be a serious debt without anything to show for it.

I have never heard of an associates…
I have never heard of an associates degree requiring 90 credits, it is always 60 credits. I am assuming more credits equal more money the school can make from each student.
I suggest for the future.... they send over all pertinent information to the potential students up front....application, tuition rates for the school, platform used for online learning, financial aid information, etc. This gives the potential student more to think about, more questions to ask, and this lures the students closer to you in a favorable way.
Do not wait for the potential student to ask for these documents. First communication should be welcoming to make the potential student experience with this University a positive one, in return they will want to know more, ask more questions, and become a part of this University.
I was made to feel unwelcomed when I inquired about this school, and I lost interest.
Now after reading the horrible reviews. I was right to deem this so called University unprofessional, and a waste of time.
Please do not waste your time inquiring about this school.

This school is for unemployed rich teens mostly
This school is ok as long as you have money amd do not need to work for a living. They don't want you to work and are not flexible. YOU must be flexible.
Make sure ALL communications are via email because your advisor can deny everything they said to you. Same with instructors.
If you have kids, don't plan on mothering them. If you're an lpn. Don't plan on them counting very much of that. They do accept most of your other credits though. Just have invalid reasons not accepting lpn. Example, I earned my lpn after attending rn school multiple times until the end (I challenged the lpn boards). The lpns were in all of my rn classes. They said that rn classes are different than lpn classes. At the college I went to, they were in class with us, I told them. It doesn't matter. Its like talking to yourself.
Theu want you to only be commited to school. since I have a mortgage, kids, and am a single mom that is not realistic.
This is lpn bridge program is 2 years squeezed into 1 year. They said I could repeat. Long story, my mdc3 and pn 2. (I didn't attend my last lab after I knew I failed mdc3, I told my instructor and she said to wait until my kids are 18... oh, she diesnt habe kids btw abd doesn't want them. Well, 4 more years and round number 4 or 5 but who's counting?) I'm not willing to ignore my kids or lose my home just to pay a fortune to go to this school. Oh and not have a job to get money to pay gir their school.... I mean, no job is also no insurance and I take medication.
My uncle died during my finals week as well. I didn't know I could've said something until this Girl said something about her friends dad died and she failed a calculation exam. Well, I guess they pick and choose? I have his obituary but I didn't attend his online funeral as I had final exams. My cousins contacted me upset so not much studying and I worked 2 double shifts before one final and had clinical in the morning the next day with the day after being the mdc3 final that I failed by one question. I was exhausted so I knew I wouldn't do well. I only had reviewed for the first exam. I should have called off they said. Ha! I only worked Saturdays and Sundays and we had exams every Sunday.
I was told I should just not work. CF said they'll work with me and they have a true lpn bridge program.
This school was a nightmare for me. The instructors do the best they can but the actual college is ridiculous and lie when they say that they'll work with you.
I had to make up labs because they had me scheduled labs and clinicals the same days and times two quarters in a row. They refused to fix their mistakes, that's YOUR problem. Just saying, my opinion. Wish I read reviews before going here. I probably could appeal but I will just be a week or 2 behind wich is basically a month behind in their speed up class time. I feel bad for the graduates. I had better clinicals at the community College I had gone to up north. I have BAD anxiety, diagnosed. They know btw. I had my psychiatrist fill out their stupid form but it didn't matter anyway. This school is enough to stress anyone out. The online clinicals are a joke too. Omg the papers you must write even if asn not bsn. Holy nursing journal references!! Never again. I hate this school
