Do not go near this company, they don’t reply after numerous attempts to email and call them. They’re basically scammers and did not do the work I paid them to do. Please stay away from this company, waste of time and money.

A fraud! Ripped us off and never followed up with any emails! Do not trust them at all. You will not get anything you paid for.

Scammers. Paid £2000 for a business valuation and a "valuator" came, looked around and said they will contact the council with our results. My business rates went up! And I heard nothing from them again. I have sent multiple emails but no reply.

Do not, i repeat do not pay any money upfront to this company. I paid them £1,800 as they told me they could reduce my business rates. They did precisely nothing for 9 months and then told me that my rates could not be reduced so tough luck. They are a fraudulent online company that need to be shut down. I then used a reputable company who reduced my business rates by £12k. Take your time to read all the bad reviews that have been written about this company - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

I could write a book about this crew Rates & Rental , and their various other names CCA being the latest. How they are still operating is beyond me, they prey on countless small businesses, mainpulate, lie and then disappear with your money. All the positive reviews are fake, and i was one of the lucky ones who managed to get my money back because i threatened to expose them for who they are. They use the same surveyors and these surveyors are fully aware of what is happening. Almost 5 years after they almost scammed me i today got a phone call from a well spoken lady giving me the same sales pitch telling me the same Surveyor is in my area, i think she was shocked by my response. They are still doing it, be aware.

They contacted us via cold calling to arrange a meeting advising a free revision on the business rates we currently pay. After the conversation we did some research and decided to ignore them going forward, business credit checks on the directors were not good! Paired with countless complaints from customers and cases with trading standards. We have now received an invoice for a survey that was carried out that we never requested. They had my last review removed. They never did anything, I ended up doing it all myself. I took them to small claims court. They tried to get me to drop it whilst we waited to go in. I had 19 pages of evidence against them, they were so arrogant about winning they had nothing.

They lost. They really really lost.

I got a full refund plus costs.

terrible people, took £1000 off us, then did a bit, we filled in some online forms for them (they were supposed to do that) & they then ignored any communication from us

SCAMMERS! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This company takes your money then never submits any sort of appeal! 10 months later and they still haven't submitted our appeal!

Received a phone call told me I was in titled to a rates rebate of £7,000 which I was happy about ,until I read anther review saying they take a good chunk of commission, so after spending 5 minutes filling the paperwork out myself I actually received a £16,000 rebate .No wonder they were eager for me to sign a contract which I had been persistently asking then to send me a copy to read through first to check out there fees .

Please avoid this outfit. I work in property and I receive constant approaches from Altus for work. My previous requests to stop pestering my company have been ignored. I have this morning had to be make another phone call to them to decline their services, which was met with a rude and insulting response. There are plenty of reputable surveying practices that will act in a professional capacity. Altus are simply the surveying equivalent of "ambulance chasers". Avoid at all costs.

All in all a very positive experience. We entered the process with some trepidation as this industry sector has had some bad press. We paid up front for the appeal and from start to finish it's taken a good 10 months, which is mostly the govt dept being slow to respond. However, Mike who handled our case secured a back dated rates refund on our behalf so very happy with the service.

Won't take no for an answer. Rang four times in the space of a week. Breaking all GDPR rules.

They were absolutely marvellous, very efficient and kept us informed every step of the way. They achieved a £6,000.00 repayment for us. We cannot recommend this company highly enough. If you want your rates examined very very closely this is the company.

After 4 years of appeal we have at last received a rates reduction

Was not aware that one could appeal the business rates. This company identified a saving and reduced my assessment substantially along with a rebate. Would recommend them.

Please do not use this company, they tell you how many thousands they can save you to win the business, charge you a lot of money for the survey and in our case didnt even bother to turn up to the Valuation office hearing. We took them to court and the judge ordered them to pay us back UNFORTUNATLY they didnt pay, the saga continues CROOKS AND SCAMMERS!!

I was contacted by Rates and Rental Surveyors reference a reduction in my business rates. My contact was Mike Schofield who was always courteous, prompt with his responses and knowledgable. Ultimately I got a rebate and going forwards a rates reduction. Highly recommend Rates and Rental Surveyors.

Avoid any contact with these people. Arrived to do a supposed survey walked around took a few photos then sent an invoice for £ 895.00 plus vat. Were told if we want to cancel will cost £400 .00 plus vat. Nothing but a scam
