I've been using Rathbones for almost a decade now.
Will Roberts, an Investment Director there is outstanding.
He combines a highly professional approach with a genuine, personal touch - making you feel both valued and understood. His expertise and clarity inspire real confidence in him as an individual as well as in Rathbones as his employer. His ability to explain the quite intimidating, complex financial markets to a layman like me is really refreshing and I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Having known and been a client of Rathbones for many years, Will Roberts took over our portfolia in 2019. since then we have been very pleased with the manner of management and also the performance during what have been very challenging years.
Capital has not only been maintained but has grown and income (important to pensioners!) has also increased. We would recommend Rathbones and Will to both professionals and those with limited knowledge of the investment world.

My wife and I are both retired, and over the years have always been very hands on managing our financial affairs, which include a small,property portfolio.
As part of our investment portfolio, I had funds invested with Interactive Investor, which necessitated almost daily monitoring, and even then we felt we did not have the professional knowledge to successfully navigate through what seemed to be an ever increasing workload, for very little return.
In view of this we made an appointment at Rathbones office Liverpool. We chose Rathbones, following recommendations and also personal research. It was a local office where we could actually visit and have one to one discussions with our advisor.
We’ve been with them for approximately three years now, and albeit the first 18 months were a rather turbulent period, our investments are now ticking over nicely , without the daily constant monitoring and worrying that we had self managing.
We get regular updates from our adviser, both online and personal calls, and review performance and changes in financial regulations and taxes, relevant to our investments.
Our adviser from the outset, has been Greg Winter.
He is an extremely pleasant, outgoing individual, and both highly experienced and knowledgeable . Nothing is too much trouble , and on many occasions I contact him just to act as a sounding board , to run certain things past him, which from experience, he has always provided me with best advice.
Both my wife and I have found immense benefits from having our monies managed by Greg from Rathbones, as opposed to self management. It has relieved many day to day worries and stresses of managing stocks and shares ourselves, and to be honest has freed up a lot of our time.
It is of great comfort to know that we can pick up the phone and speak to him, and obtain sound financial advice. He has assisted us with not only the placing of the investments , but has provided a clear strategy for future planning regarding gifts and inheritance etc.
I would highly recommend Rathbones as a safe pair of hands , and in particular have been really impressed with the personal effort Greg puts in to ensure we feel comfortable with our investments, and to understand the planning strategies he’s put in place.

My late father, a Liverpool solicitor, used Rathbones for his clients’ investments and then left his widow, my mother’s financial affairs in their unflashy, but sound hands.
