Awful Quality and Service

Rationel supplied and installed French (Casement) Doors in my home. After a few days the wind caught the door and the lever arm broke damaging and breaking off the wood as it detached. It was not a particularly windy day and the force was not excessive. It became apparent that the wood of the door frame was very low quality. This is despite the doors costing Euro 4800. I had been informed that they were top quality which is why I paid this price. Eleven days ago I contacted the sales rep James Devlin, who sold me the doors and he informed me that it was nothing to do with him but that he would submit a service call request. I have since heard nothing. Yesterday, I telephoned Maria at their service department twice and no answer. I left 2 voice messages and still no response. I will never do business with this company again and the quality of their product and after sales service is awful.

Avoid expensive and poor customer service .

Very unhappy .
No reactivity .
They came to install a big sliding window .
I got the old doors and windows removed the day before as requested .

They came and said they could not install the sliding window because there was not a base of concrete to support the window . I managed to organise that done on the same day .
But they didn't react and decided it was ok to let me have an open room on the outside for a week .
And the usual " he is on the meeting and call you after " and of course he does not call back ..
I have a child with Down Syndrome and can't have an open room on the outside .
No response , 0 communication , and no empathy to a difficult situation which arose because they didn't communicate .
Avoid them . They are extremely expensive and their customer service is 0 ..
I'll spread the word ..

Very unprofessional

We were there in person in Galway to consult.... man was very nice & helpful, but we NEVER heard from him again. We called him several times, he kept putting us off.....until today, months later, no feedback, very unprofessional & dubious.
(The same thing happened with NorDan, it's next door, I just can't believe how unprofessional both companies are)

Poor delivery and warranty claims not investigated

5 weeks late on delivery at install time. (Nov 2018). Main pain installed with busted seal and scratched. Its replacement also delivered scratched. Had to chase for two months to get gubbins to fill frame mounting screw holes. 5 years later a pain shatters for no obvious reason. Contact them and they won’t come out to investigate. Just blanket glass not covered under warranty. Then they ghost my emails. I write a review incorrectly on Rationel UK, they instantly contact me and them a different entity. They contact me and I provide clear evidence of a poorly fitting window opening that’s allowing water get in on top of it (the same one that broke for no reason) and I am ghosted again. A pretty poor experience to which they’ll probably not even respond to here and if they do, it will be to say ‘reach out to us’ despite them not now answering three different email threads.

Highly recommended

We recently replaced all our doors and windows using this company. The service and quality of fitting was excellent. We are very happy with the finished product which is of high quality than most we viewed. There were some hiccups but once their customer service manager called out these were resolved very quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Highly recommended.
