I was recommended here
I was recommended here, but what a DISAPPOINTMENT!
We were first customers in ordered baguette GF and breakfast baguette, these took nearly half hour which went to the wrong table then came to us, I asked if that was GF as not what I ordered and then I asked to check in kitchen and how long it might be as it was already long time coming we were polite no one complained, that it was long time waiting or that it was not GF which could cause issues!
The other breakfast was being eaten as fine and as per order, out came another lady? who started to take my sons plate away he’d already ate half without asking him, no apology for time? No apology it was not GF, an error, instead turned around and said that the waitress was very upset and was very abrupt with us, my son over heard her say we were rude??? Unbelievable !!!
Then to top it off a pack of 20+ dogs came to pub garden area where we were sitting, along with the huntsman and they travel as pack too, the hunts folk talking at the top of the voice how hunting is a ‘tradition,’ and his we should continue in this way? with 30+ dogs and 40/50+ people on horses chasing one small, frightened animal for miles for sheer pleasure!!
I come from farming back ground so does my partner and no, we do not encourage this barbaric shameful enjoyment.
The Raven pub needs to think objectively as a business and thank-you for making us feel unwelcome!
