Very professional friendly triage referred from the Alresford Branch, an email follow up to the Eye clinic in Southampton

I had developed an eye irritation and contacted my local branch who referred me on to the branch in Alton as they had an appointment slot the next day. I saw Helen who was very knowledgeable, she examined my eye and gave me advice to solve the issue. 3 days later irritation was no longer! I highly recommend this branch.

I went for annual eye test and opt for a eye test and the special scan to seethe back of the eyes. Now days everything is so much easier and quicker getting results back quickly. The optician was very nice and to the point. I was very pleased with the results. I wanted to keep my frames which the optician said was fine. Just had the lens fitted into my frames. I was a little surprised at the cost for the lens.minusing the scan. I didn't think I paid much more for the completed thing 2years ago. But I guess everything has gone up. The staff were very friendly. I can now see a little clearer which is the main thing.

We had tried several local opticians over the years, and came late to Rawlings after some disappointing experiences.
I could not be more complimentary of my consulation. the testing was thorough, each stage explained and Helen was very patient and expathetic in her conduct of the examination: very different to what I received elsewhere. Consequently I have more confidence in the prescription I received this time, and buying new glasses on the back of it.

Vicky and Helen dealt with an urgent issue promptly and effectively. I was given an early appointment and a thorough examination followed by referrals. Copies of test results were provided on request and were very useful at the hospital.

I thought the people who helped me really listened and understood some worries I shared. They made me feel comfortable because I find eye tests a bit daunting. They were gentle and calm, but also very personable. A really good experience: professional. knowledgable and really good at explaining the results of the scans.

Fantastic service! Welcoming and friendly service entering the store. My optometrist, Helen, was incredibly thorough and informative, taking care to make sure I understood everything. I then had excellent help from Ursula to choose the right glasses frames to suit me. Great range of different styles and brands to choose from. Very happy I booked my eye test here!

The staff are friendly and efficient. Helen who examined my eyes was very helpful. My other cataract needs sorting but the referral process was straightforward. Rawlings looked after me well last time and I'm sure they will again.

Helen was excellent. She is very thorough and friendly throughout my entire visit. All the staff are very helpful.

I stopped by the shop to ask if a pair of my reading glasses could be fitted with new lenses and all the staff that I interacted with were very helpful. I was able to pop back later for an eye test (which was a very positive experience) and then we agreed on the prescription to be used for the new lenses and how I would use the glasses. Overall a great experience.

I have been attending Rawlings Alton yearly since moving to Alton in 2002 and cannot praise them enough. In 2005, cataracts were detected in both eyes and a referral made by Rawlings via my GP to the wonderful Mr. Sandy at Basingstoke, where surgery was performed by Mr. Sandy on each eye over a 6 month period. What an amazing difference to my eyesight!! I have regularly attended my yearly appointments at Rawlings Alton, both parents having suffered from glaucoma, and their service is second to none. I have also recommended Rawlings to many friends over the years, who have all been delighted and impressed with their excellent eye tests and delightful staff. I cannot rate them highly enough.

Super experience with Rawlings opticians in Alton. Very thorough eye test, a great range of frames including brands i’ve never seen elsewhere and a range of sizing options which for me is particularly helpful. I am thrilled with my new glasses which came very quickly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rawlings to anyone considering using them. I may book in for their hearing services too on the strength of my experience with replacing my glasses.
