Appaling customer care. Do not buy viners knifes

Still waiting on replacement knifes that were promised due to faulty knifes that nearly casued an accident when the handle came away from the blade. Was promised replacement 4 weeks ago and chased several times. Appears no one reads their emails..

Rayware Need An Official Kick In The Rear

I've used Kilner jars for 40+ years for preserving fruit and veg grown on my allotment. I needed to replace a couple so in September bought 2 from Sainsbury's Leek. I used one for pickled shallots and one for apples in syrup. I brought these out to use only to find the pickles and cider vinegar had turned the same shade of salmon pink as the rubber seal in the lid. The seal on the second had obviously failed- the apples were now a jar of mould. I emailed Rayware and was told "it's not their problem - take them back to Sainsbury's." Sainsbury's told me the jars are faulty and nothing to do with them. I received the price of the jars back- fortunately I still had the receipt or I wouldn't have even got that. Rayware couldn't be less interested. Sainsbury's dropped the jar in the skip no doubt. Question...is everyone going to wait until perhaps an elderly person actually eats from one of these jars and becomes very ill before anyone cares? I should have handed it straight to Trading Standards or Environmental health. If anyone else has problems with Kilner 1 litre screw top preserving jars I recommend doing just that.

We use rayware as we have no where else…

We use Rayware only because there are very limited alternatives for sourcing this type of glass in the UK. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently poor. It’s extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone, emails often go unanswered, and since the team works remotely, phone calls can’t be transferred or escalated.

Our most recent order has been sitting with them for over a week, and it still hasn’t been dispatched. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and unreliable. We’re actively searching for a new supplier and would not recommend Rayware to others.

Very misleading labelling.

They proudly and prominently display on their labels "The original and best, Kilner" wrapped around a union jack flag. The jars are made in China (label in tiny writing on bottom of jar)! This is highly misleading and had I known I wouldn't have ordered it and won't from them again. Shady practice at best.

A good company

Rayware sorted a problem with one knife in a Viners knife set. A great resolution to the problem. Thank you Rayware.

NOBODY KNOWS WHO RAYWARE ARE

Nobody knows who Rayware are, but everyone knows their products, Kilner jars. You may be interested in the quality of Kilner jars, but Rayware doesn't give a toss.
We used to buy Kilner jars in packs of 4 or 6 from the likes of The Range or Lakeland. I reported to Rayware that somehow we had been sold a counterfeit Kilner jar, and if the customer service agent could have shrugged her shoulders she would have done so. When I complained about the lousy service, the same waste-of-space replied. I have yet to hear from an adult at the company. Until I do, we will be buying the competition's products - German-made WECK jars, since you ask. Much better quality, and I don't think they will tolerate their dealers slipping in counterfeits.

Rayware not interested in resolving product defects

Re Order 4000063215

We ordered 4 of the Universal Push Top Storage Jar - 2 Litres. They arrived well packed and promptly. However the seals on these jars are very poor (compared with the seals on the 4L jars). Cereal went stale. The experience trying to get this sorted with customer service has been appalling. We are now 6 weeks since i raised the issue and two weeks since two of the jars were returned and there has been no progress. This company customer service is just not interested in resolving product issues.

Bought a Price & Kensington teapot and…

Bought a Price & Kensington teapot and being an expat I was expecting a British product made in UK. The teapot had the label "rich in pottery history since 1896" and "designed in Great Britain". The designed made me wary so I find out that the thing is made in Thailand!

Beware of Rayware, they do not allow delivery without signature, no neighbour option and no non-contact option, so you will need to sit in all day!

I recently bought a Kilner jar from this company online. What a terrible experience. My order confirmation stated "free standard delivery". No mention of the fact they send signed for with NO OPTION for contactless delivery. So if you're not in, it gets sent back to the depot. Needless to say, while out at work during the day, they attempted delivery again. I called Rayware to either do a non contact delivery or leave with a neighbour, only to be informed they "do not allow these options". Had I known this is advance and it was clear in the shipping info I would absolutely not have ordered from here. Could have bought these kilner jars in Tesco! then they sent the package back to Rayware, as a non delivery! 4 weeks later and numerous calls they gave me a refund MINUS £4.50 "costs". This is absolutely insane. Let your customers know in advance what the delivery methods are so we can make informed choices that suit your consumers. I am still awaiting the refund of the £4.50.
To save you hassle, avoid buying from the Rayware.co.uk group or anything from their site.
