A tremendous product
A tremendous product, simple idea that works really well. Light the log burner, allow 5-10 mins to warm the flue, then turn on the pump. The amount of heat saved from the flue is amazing. We have our pump outside, and the pipe feeds through the wall into the coil. You do hear a hissing noise at first, but it soon fades into the background.
The only downside for me, was the noise of the pump itself, which is the main reason we put it out side.
We use less logs, for more heat, for a small cost in electricity, and once the room is toastie, you can always turn the pump off.

Recoheat
Spotted the Recoheat being talked about online and thought it would work for us. I emailed Will at the company and he took the time to explain how it all worked and that it would fit fine in our flue set up.
Ordered one a few weeks later - arrived promptly and was straightforward to fit. I must say it works extremely well. I notice the room heating up much more quickly and we certainly use less fuel as a result.
Sure, there is a hiss when in use but it's one of those noises that you don't notice after a while. It certainly doesn't bother us a bit.
I just wish I knew about these when they first came out as we'd have saved so much fuel.

The item was shipped quickly
The item was shipped quickly. It was exactly as described and worked great. The heat iit produces immediately upon starting the fireplace is amazing and it continues to produce heat several hours after the wood has burnt down. I plan on purchasing a second unit for my other home. Great innovative product.
