I can't give no stars but they have the…

I can't give no stars but they have the worst service I have had for years, put you through to numbers that are never answered, make promises to pick up which are not kept.
The lack of responses is actually holding up my building project and I have had to postpone my builder twice.
I have been trying to organise a pick up for over a month!!!!

Shame you can't give no stars

Shame you can't give no stars, shocking service, will never recommend this company, asked for skip to be picked up on Tuesday and was told will be do asap, and can't do till Friday

Quality service/advice retaining personal touch

Use Reconomy as main broker for all wastage. Quick to respond to any requests and always willing to assist. Site portal is easy to use and track collections etc. Cannot fault them nor Ryan as acc manager who was more than happy to assist in completing a review of current waste and recycling waste streams.

Helpful

Helpful, Reliable & Quick to resolve issues.

We have used Reconomy as a company for some time now and we have found their service to be consistent and reliable. When issues have cropped up, they are very quick to investigate and resolve.

Horrendous

Horrendous.

We used reconomy for our waste collection service at our coffee shop and the whole experience was extremely poor.

They barely came to collect our rubbish. On one occasion, our bin was overflowing due to their failure to attend. We emailed them and Lynda promised a "full site clearance", which wasn't done. We queried this and she said the driver already took more than he should have - perhaps our definition of "full site clearance" differs, but to me it should be as it says.

After continuously chasing them up and receiving nothing but poor service in terms of email responses and bin collections, we decided to terminate our contract with them.

We thought terminating the contract would end all the headaches, and we eventually found a company with far better communication and understanding. However, Reconomy decided to take our bin earlier than planned with no communication at all. We queried this and again, Lynda responded poorly with excuses as to why they took it earlier. That would have been fine, had they communicated this with us prior to taking it so we could have made other arrangements.

I can see other people on here have had headaches with this company and i wish i read these reviews beforehand. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

Very dissatisfied

Very dissatisfied- had 4 skips from them in succession.They turned up and took the last one 3/4 full after 2 weeks with no notice. When I asked for a short extension was told charge £140. Will be using another company in future.

Deceitful skip measurements!

We hired two skips: first the 6yard skip which filled in 2 days and the an 8 yard skip which of course cost extra.
Imagine our surprise when we received an identical skip to the first one ordered. When I called to signal this they said they needed to investigate and we were not allowed to use the skip in the meanwhile. We had workers at the house doing their job.
We ended up putting some waste in the skip by the time they brought another one a day or two later as “a commercial gesture”. They kept saying that the measurements on the site are approximate and even though the measurements I took were almost identical to a 6yard skip they said it’s normal. When they saw that the skip was used they asked us to empty it!!! Only my elderly parents were home. Because the skip was not emptied, they took the new skip they had brought back to the depot, leaving us with the incorrect/smaller skip and with our money taken.
When I asked for a refund of the price difference they refused.
They cheat on measurements and charge extra money deceitfully!
Stay away from this company.

Excellent service

Excellent service. Booked for 19th May2022. Had to make a couple of modifications. Phones answered immediately, very helpful and polite people. Time frame was adhered to. I was always kept informed of the ETA. The job was done quickly and expertly. Excellent service. Many thanks.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE! (I’m a pensioner and they took advantage of me)

This is the WORST customer service I have ever received! *** They will rip you off*** I chose them as I wanted waste collected equivalent the size of a midi skip which was agreed. On arrival, Clearabee turned up (contractors) they picked up a few items and not the main bath tub and tiles (which we agreed over the phone) and then they tried to charge us a further £130 on top of £180! We could have hired a skip in the first place! The Sales Manager is so rude and unhelpful. I contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau )who will help me take matters further) and asked for a full recording of the conversation but the company won’t provide it (obviously to cover up their faults) are saying that they can’t due to GDPR but Citizens advice are saying this is incorrect and they have to. This still hasn’t been resolved. Please save yourself from being ripped off and don’t use this atrocious scam of a company.

They don’t provide VAT on the receipt so are obviously pocketing it! They have been reported to Trading Standard who are looking in to the company at the moment. I have a copy of their receipt without VAT but when I mentioned that they are being investigated the Sales Manager sent me one with VAT! Cheaters.

Steer clear their service is awful!

Absolutely shocking customer service! This waste broker have no ideabhowntonreat customers, they never return email enquiries within an hour despite our company having set KPIs in place! They never stick to their SLA and their skip suppliers are always late.

Accounts staff are rude and never listen and we never get invoice queries resolved quickly. We have an account manager who hasn't got a clue on skips or waste basically, and although he has been new in his role for about 6 months, it's clear Reconomy dont train very well!

Don't recommend at all, we spend nearly £100k in a year on skips with this company, and now they wont be getting a single penny. Weve taken our skip requirement elsewhere to a better waste management company!

Poor and Expensive Service!

As a waste broker their service is absolutley shocking and very poor. They charge high rates and accounting team are useless. Used them for skips and wheelie bins and had problem after problem.

Avoid at all costs their are better brokers out there willing to give you the time and effort!
