Bad customer service

I order coffee beans a few times. Coffee is ok although nothing outstanding. One of my order never arrived and they had send a replacement, which arrived ok. I had requested a full refund but they Refused, saying it would be against their company policy. My most recent order hasn't arrived 5 days after they posted. Royal Mail notified it would be delivered yet it is till in one of their depot no way near our area. Exactly the same problem as the time before. All they do is to blame Royal Mail. Would not cancel my order, would not
refund. I gave them another chance after what happened before. No more.

Wouldn’t use them

Awful. Ordered on the 27th July. Order still hasn’t appeared. Blame put on Royal Mail. The same Royal Mail that has delivered multiple parcels to my house since ordering things at the weekend. Don’t take any accountability, no refund offer, can’t cancel order. Ordered coffee beans for a long time now. Like to try different companies. Will never touch this one again. Awful awful service.

In response to your reply, I have repeatedly been in touch with you to continuously hear it’s a problem with Royal Mail. Royal Mail tracking states “we’re expecting it”. Do they have it or not? Surely as a company paying for Tracked 48 hour delivery you would be hunting them down to see what’s gone wrong and demand answers as to why they haven’t fulfilled their service provision. Not only that, but also to establish when it will be sorted rather than leave it totally open ended or wait until a claim can be made. This can then be relayed to your customer (me on this occasion) rather than a generic “it’s Royal Mails fault”. In comparison I have made 4 other purchases since Friday of last week and every one has been delivered by Royal Mail (the latest one being today) so have no service issues with Royal Mail all around the UK.
Whilst your initial part may have been done efficiently, I pay for and expect a full service of which you should ensure happens. If it doesn’t then become accountable, pick it up with others in your service chain and ensure things are sorted. This makes sure you have the required service from start to finish and can confidently advertise it and deliver within its parameters. Whilst I appreciate you refunded me today, it has taken time for you to accept this was an issue until such time as you could claim for it. I genuinely wish you well in the future (which won’t include me as a customer) but stand by my view and opinion of how this should have played out.

Your order was fulfilled within 24 hours, but unfortunately, unanticipated nationwide delays at Royal Mail in late July, which were beyond our control, affected delivery. A full refund was issued, as the order was deemed lost ater 10 working days, and we duly apologised for any inconvenience caused. While we respect your opinion, accusing us of poor service is unfair to our team, who acted promptly to fulfil your order and provide ongoing customer support.

I am surprised by the negative comments on this site.i have been a customer for several years and have always received exemplary service.
The staff are courteous,very helpful and always go above and beyond what one would expect in order to assist clients. The coffee and teas are superb and many of my friends,for whom I have supplied gifts are always delighted .

Amazing coffee and great service!

I regularly order from Redber Coffee and have been very impressed with their wonderfully rich flavoured coffee, swift delivery times and helpful customer service. Their Café Français and Honduras Santa Rosa coffees are particular favourites of mine.

customer service is poor

customer service is poor. they sold me a coffee syrup that curdles in coffee and says on the bottle 'just add water', where the others actually say they are for coffee. Redber refuse to accept that the syrup they sold me is not as in the picture and unfit for purpose. they say that some syrups are suitable only for black coffee...really? it's not about the money, it's misadvertising.
1 lost customer here.

We understand that you ordered a cocktail syrup and found that it curdles with a milk coffee. We really attempted to resolve this with you, and are happy to provide any further advice about syrups. But yes, it is true - not all coffee is drunk with milk, and so some syrups are not designed for milk.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Ordered on the 4 April was meant to receive in 2-3 days and it’s been 20 days. Keep contacting them and getting no reply looking like i’ll have to contact bank to sort it out. Joke of a company

Once we received your clarification on day seven, we promptly placed the order with the importer — a process which understandably surprised you due to the additional wait. As soon as the product arrived with us, we dispatched it the very same day, and it was delivered to you the following day.

I used to buy greens beans from them an they were good value but the roasted beans were stale and not crema. Not

No customer service reply

Received a faulty water glass. Contacted company to see if we could sort out the problem but unfortunately zero reply.
Will have to manage will a set of 5 glasses instead of 6. Very annoying!
Would not recommend buying from this website to others.

What happened to such a good company

What happened to such a good company? We have been ordering coffee from this company for several years. We have never had any problems until the last orders. The coffee is very oily, slips in the grinder. We informed Redber about this, sent photos as they asked. We got a standard answer that it is not their fault, that the problem is the quantities we order and the way we store the coffee... Really Redber? We have been ordering the same coffee for 7 years (now it costs twice as much), we keep it in a dark place, in a tight jar and suddenly - according to you, our conditions have changed? We wanted to help solve the problem and it turned out that we are the problem for the company. We apologize for disturbing the peace of customer service and informing about a problem that according to Redber does not exist.

Update: Stop lying! We have been ordering the same amount of coffee every month for years. It was 3 weeks old when we reported it to you. The problem has been there since the very beginning of delivery. The coffee is stored properly and is in a dark place. For several years the same coffee, stored the same way, in the same place. Nothing has changed for us - the problem is on your side - and the way you are trying to explain it and pass the blame on to us is unacceptable!

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’ve reviewed the details of your purchase, and it seems the beans were approximately two months old at the time of use. For this particular type of coffee, we recommend consuming the beans within 2-3 weeks to maintain optimal quality. Beyond 3-4 weeks, they naturally become oilier, and when ground, the coffee may clump together.

Additionally, you mentioned that the beans weren’t stored in a sealed vacuum container, which could have accelerated the aging process. We take pride in delivering fresh, high-quality products, and your experience doesn’t reflect our usual standard. We’d be happy to help with any further advice or recommendations for the best coffee experience in the future.

We are not lying, you raised this issue with us on the 25th September, however you claimed in the email you sent us 'July 27, 2024 – this is the last order'- this is two months on from when you ordered. There is no issue on our side as you have decided to consume out of date coffee beans. As you have previously mentioned, you do not store your beans in a vacuum sealed environment leading to faster aging, I would suggest assessing your coffee storage facilities to prevent this from happening again. Great customer service

I had a good experience ordering from Redber. The prices were reasonable and the delivery was quick. There was a small issue with one of the products in my order but their friendly customer service team resolved it quickly.

My experience with this company has…

My experience with this company has always been 100% positive I’ve bought coffee beans, tea and other items like water bottles etc over the years. Always well packaged and delivered on time. The coffee beans all dark roast as requested and coffee brew great taste.

Excellent. Ignore the morons.

It always amazes me that people put 1 star reviews for so little. Entitled and demanding! The customer is not always right, anyone who has had to deal with the general public knows this all too well. Take these reviews with a pinch of salt.

Having ordered from Redber for around 6 months now (roasted, whole beans) I can say they’re a good outfit. Well priced, tasty coffee. What more can I ask for? Delivery has always been fine for me, packages have turned up as expected without any issue. Beans are always roasted within 3 days of delivery, often the day before. Overall, everything more than satisfactory for me!

Great beans and delivery

Firstly I can't talk about the customer service or machines as I have only bought coffee or syrups from here. I have however spent several years buying coffee beans of many varieties and medium to dark roast. With my grinder and espresso machine or my filter machine I have been impressed both by taste, consistency and time of delivery. All have been consistent allowing me to get my setup the way I want it. Not sure where the bad reviews have come from but my experience has been great and love exploring the world of coffee beans!
