I used this service to request a prescription for tretinoin to help with aging skin. I previously used Curology, but decided to try RedBox Rx because of the lower cost.
I’m an experienced tretinoin user and have been using the highest strength (0.1%) for over a decade with no issues. I made this very clear in my intake form and even attached a photo of my Curology bottle that had just run out.
I received a response extremely quickly, which was concerning. I was prescribed the lowest strength (0.025%) despite clearly stating that I’ve used the highest dose long-term without any problems. The message from the provider felt generic and didn’t address my history at all. They stated they like to start everyone at the lowest dose and work up, which didn’t make sense in my case since I’ve already done that years ago.
Since I didn’t receive the prescription I actually needed, I’ve decided to return to Curology, where I’ve had a better experience in the past. I’m disappointed that I paid $25 and ended up with a treatment that doesn’t make sense for my skin or my history. Overall, this was a frustrating experience.
Update: the company reached out and resolved the issue. I greatly appreciate it and have increased the rating appropriately.

I appreciate that the requested prescription is not guaranteed but as I said the response from the presciber was unusually quick and the prescriber's note was clearly a generic template as it said nothing specific about my medical history that I had provided. It simply said they like to start everyone at the low dose and work up to higher doses and did not even mention my long history of tretonin use. If the provider's note explained their disagreement with the other dermatologist I've used over the years I could understand that but that is not the case. Instead I received a boilerplate response that could have been copy pasted for anyone.

Pretty disappointing experience - I selected the delivery option without knowing it could take up to 6 days to get my prescription. In talking with my provider she let me know that I need to reach out to support to get the prescription location changed. The support team was closed Sunday night so I called first thing Monday morning but was told they had filled the script so I couldn’t change my order but the order would go out Monday night. It’s now Tuesday afternoon and my script was just sent with an estimated delivery of Friday. The goal was to make getting my prescription easier and unfortunately I now don’t get the medicine I need for much longer.

UPDATE 2:
The first person I spoke with said they could not issue an emergency RX. They insisted that I would have to pay another fee for another consultation just because my shipment got lost in the mail. The 2nd person confirmed that I would have to either wait for the shipment to return to them and then they would ship it to me, or pay the fee for another consultation. To wait for the shipment gymnastics would mean that I would go as much as a week without my medication unless I was willing to pay for an unnecessary consultation. After contacting several consumer reporting agencies, I am relieved to report that RedBox Rx did in fact issue an emergency prescription.
UPDATE 1:
They refused to issue an emergency RX.
Refused to refill the order even thought they know the shipment is being returned to them.
Refused to issue a refund.

Guys, this company is awful. Unfortunately my experience has been terrible. The initial appointment was great but I've been waiting for my refill for 9 days and it's still not here. I wish I could recommend, but I have to get a new RX from a new doctor and then get my RX filled somewhere else, so this was not helpful at all. I highly recommend you find somewhere else to get your RX filled. I can't say enough about how expensive and time consuming this process has been.
This service is abysmal and I would not recommend it to anyone.

They require you to pay for a 6 month prescription in advance, that means you should get 6 months of the prescription but you won't, not unless you agree to let them auto renew another prescription. When I started I told them I had already been on Rebelsus 5 mg for a month, so I needed to start out at that level or higher - they didn't, I requested them to increase my dosage for 5 months and they wouldn't. I was only getting 4 mg pills. They also told me that nausea medication was included, when I requested it, they filled a prescription and sent me a bill for it. I told them to turn off auto renew and I would decide if I wanted to continue, but I knew that I didn't, their CS is terrible. So I did my last assessment to get my 6th prescription and then they cancelled it because I didn't have an active subscription for another 6 months, so they really shafted me. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone for any service. If I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I would

They neglected to send my prescription to the pharmacy for over 2 weeks. It took four phone calls and a couple of hours to get an emergency prescription sent. I was promised that the original prescription would be sent overnight. Today, I see that there are delays. Do not trust this company if you need regular medication. They care more about money than their patients.

Very easy to place an order and shipping was fast. I believe the shipping was from Iowa, so nice that it’s within the US. Pricing was transparent, with several pricing options available. I will be using Redbox RX again.
