As I work abroad and my IT skills are not that of the younger generation, I decided to engage with a broker. Redmayne Bentley have an office that is not too far from my home in the Scottish highlands, so I elected to engage with them. I have been trading with them since 2019 and I cannot speak highly enough of the ladies in the Huntly office.
There is a 7/8-hour time difference and when I commence a trade, the girls are onto it in a flash. If there is any doubt, they pick up the phone and call me in Malaysia.
I could go on, but suffice to say my experience with RB has been positive and a big thanks to the ladies in Huntly.

I have complained several times about the new app,had bungling apologies, but no concrete explanation, difficulty logging in.
Was sent an email saying that I have a new document to view, I go to the document page...no New document?
When I go to the up and coming divided section I get a couple for February, one for March and then it leaps to September.
I have been a client of Redmayne Bentley for almost 50 years,I'm away on holiday abroad at the moment, but when I return, I will be visiting their office in Leeds and closing my account.

The online investors' portal is dreadful. Can anyone make sense of their accounting? Transactions show up in duplicate for no obvious reason and the transaction narratives are often incomprehensible. The only way to keep track seems to be a full off-line tickback.

Ridiculous charges for holding shares then charged to leave this company

It is now 8 months since the end of the 22-23 tax year and Redmayne Bentley have still not provided me with a correct tax certificate (CTC) which I need for my tax return. When it was originally issued I spotted several issues with incorrect classification between interest and dividends and despite giving them the information they have failed to correct it, and I now have no faith in their remaining information. They have broken several promised response deadlines without even an apology. I have now resorted to a formal complaint but am told that it will take up to 8 weeks for them to respond to that so I am left in limbo in the meantime. Their fees aren’t cheap so I would expect better service than this. How can such a big firm have a back office that don’t know what they are doing?

Judging by most of the recent comments, it seems I am far from being alone in thinking the revised website is nothing short of dreadful. Very, slow to react, huge margins on May pages requiring lots of scrolling. No statement age, No quick access like face recognition which I was told RM think is not secure enough. Though it seems to be fine for banks, other financial institutions, and thousands of others. But judging be the answers I have had from the head office and even from the CE’s over recent months, it seems they believe it is virtually perfect. From which I assume they don’t use it. Thank goodness for the fantastic people in my local office. Without them I would be long gone. Are the management too proud to admit they have got it wrong of was it so expensive they cannot afford to change it?
