Submitted a refund application today due to illness (Air ticket number BUK-42515234), form would not accept final confirmation of bank numbers ... tried 5 times. Spoke to management at Budget Air who sold me the refund cover... they are considering canceling this company due to serial complaints and sent message to Budget Air CEO via Linkedin as the have serious exposure to severe penalties acting as agents. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Alain French

After having tried several times to complete the refund application process with no luck and get in contact with customer service, i finally had a call and email from staff. After re submitting the application, it was then approved, with money refunded within days. Thank you very much, appreciate the quick response after my initial review.

I am giving 2 stars only because, after a significant amount of back-and-forth, I did eventually receive my refund. However, it should never have been this difficult.
I paid extra for refund protection and submitted medical evidence from the outset, including confirmation that I had been medically advised not to participate. Despite this, my claim was initially rejected and I had to challenge the decision before it was reconsidered.
The process was stressful, time-consuming, and disappointing - particularly given the personal and medical circumstances involved. Refund protection should provide reassurance, not require persistence and escalation to access what you have paid for.
I am also very disappointed that London TCS promotes this service on its website. Had it been clear that this was a third-party provider with such restrictive interpretations of cover, I would not have purchased the add-on.
I would strongly advise others to read the terms extremely carefully and be prepared to advocate for themselves if they ever need to make a claim.

Paid a fair bit extra for a refundable Manchester Marathon ticket. I have since herniated a disc in the lower spine. (Anyone with half a brain would know that you shouldn't run on such an injury)
Provided the team with my MRI report. Apparently this doesn't suffice. I have to get a doctors note that specifically states that I cannot run on that exact day. All fine, except I'd have to pay close to £50 for that doctors note with my surgery.
Total scam. Don't pay extra for a refundable ticket. You're only paying for an application process that they make near impossible, in the hope that you give up and let them have your extra money.

I booked China Online rail tickets. Due to cancellation of our return flight with no other available option I had to cancel the rail ticket. The process was confusing and a very non user friendly platform. When I finally made the application with all supporting documents they refused to refund. This company is a con

One of the worst companies even though you submit the evidences they still keep on asking the evidences I can't understand what you're going to do with my hospital reports and my bookings and everything I feel like they don't want to refund my money

I booked through Trivago and knowing the DC area weather in Jan/Feb can be a little challenging, I purchased this travel protection. I submitted a claim given there will be 8-10 inches of snow and provided screenshots of the weather and the actual guidance from the national weather forecast and this is what they sent back:
“Whilst we do understand the circumstances, please note that as we clearly indicate in the Terms and Conditions you accepted when purchasing refundable tickets, "What we do not refund: Adverse weather with no Government Agency warnings not to travel." and "You will be asked to provide supporting evidence at Your own expense."
Despite several attempts to request the appropriate evidence, we have not yet received it.”
If I can give them 0 stars I will. It’s a shame this kind of business is floating out there to scam people.
Also the customer rep Sarah is not helpful at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Entering the LondonT100 and unable to compete due to work.
Letter and evidence all provided yet their team still won’t budge and I am within the timelines and their policy.
I look forward to taking this further and have highlighted this with the governing body of the event.
Updated.
Like so many others, this company is falling short relying on what appears to be an AI chatbot when deciding if a refund is applicable.
After many many many emails backwards and forwards the balance has been refunded immediately. It is a shame governing bodies and citizens advice have to be used in order to get back what money we’re entitled to.
I dread to think how many people take the initial response of no and lose their money.
I have highlighted this awful process to the event organisers in a hope this company is either reminded of their obligations or they chose another provider in future.
I will certainly in future be avoiding using any events with this company.

I purchased a ticket to Jimmy Barnes concert as a gift before Christmas. The ticket merchant website offered a refund button which I clicked and paid. the recipient isn't going to be in NZ on concert date, so I claimed a refund.
Refundable.me sent me a Closed email, saying it was an invalid reason.

I am extremely dissatisfied with refundable.me. Their advertised policy for event insurance is completely misleading. I purchased insurance for a Spartan race, and when the event was rescheduled, making it impossible for me to attend, my refund was denied. They claimed that rescheduling is not covered, directly contradicting their advertised promises. This is tantamount to fraud and spam. I would avoid this company like the plague. Unless you want to give money away for a usless guarantee.

My son applied to run a marathon and due to having a medical condition has had to withdraw from the event. He contacted this company and despite at this present time struggling to walk due a chronic condition he has recently been diagnosed with was told that he could not be refunded and to wait until nearer the time! Don't waste the extra money taking the policy out! We are in discussions with Citizens Advice on how to get my sons money back!

My father has been hospitalised and in ICU, sent hospital admission document along with the my dad's pictures lying in the ICU unconscious(although I was supposed to provide pictures), I provided the pictures to prove my legitimate reason to request for the refund. they ask more documents to prove this. I have cancelled my leisure trip having losses of accommodation bookings but these online travel agencies are there to mint money and do nothing for the passengers. I paid extra money to have peace of mind (did not think that I would have to cancel my trip for the said reason) but unfortunately no peace at all. I need to leave urgently rather than at a later scheduled departure date, that is why I am looking to cancel my tickets.

Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go through these people.
My grandmother has declined, and we were unable to attend the concert.
They wanted full detailed medical reports- we live rurally & getting to a gp isn’t easy.
I finally got an appointment to see a gp, to see what they could do. I emailed refundable.me saying I got an appointment. For them to further tell me- there is nothing they can do after to concert had been.
Absolutely rip offs- scammed me!!

They held up to their word on their terms and conditions. Beyond timely, I had a response in under 24 hrs.
Very useful
very professional
Easy process.
Thank you
Will keep using in all my bookings.
I booked rooms and had to cancel. I paid $35 to have the "convenience" of cancelling and they still insisted that I have some excuse verified by the government. My business is mine.
Your excuses for your bad business practices do not move me. I will look for other ways to inconvenience your unethical practices.

so I made a booking on hopper website for transfers for airport to hotel and back and within a week I have had to change the hotel so I went onto hopper website to ammend the destination and it said I had to cancel and rebook so as I had taken out advanced refund protection out they have refused the claim despite on hoppas on website stating I had to cancel to change the destination
they simply closed the case within a hour and did not ask any further questions or try to help out so this extra fee for advance refund protection with this company is a scam which seems to be the same theme with the rest of the reviews on here ! luckily I paid by credit card and will raise a dispute and get my money back this way do not use this company hoppa or advance refund protection! and my journey isn't even for another month so not like I was cancelling within days !!

This has been one of the most frustrating and unacceptable customer service experiences my family has ever dealt with.
My grandfather (78 years old), my grandmother, my boyfriend, and I purchased airline tickets from Toronto to Orlando through FlightHub, with ticket protection purchased directly from FlightHub. My grandparents’ tickets were booked separately from mine and my boyfriend’s.
On Christmas Eve, my grandfather suffered a serious fall, breaking both his wrist and ankle. He required surgery and is now unable to walk or care for himself. Because of this, the trip was immediately no longer possible. We were staying at a home my grandfather had rented, which had to be cancelled since he could no longer travel.
Despite these extremely serious and documented medical circumstances, Refundable.me has been completely unresponsive and unhelpful. After over six hours on the phone, my grandfather received no resolution whatsoever. Even worse, his flight was cancelled without his consent, yet no refund was issued. This situation has caused immense stress to both my grandparents, particularly my grandfather, whose health has already been compromised.
We are seeking refunds for both of my grandparents’ tickets, as my grandmother obviously cannot travel without my grandfather. We are also demanding refunds for my ticket and my boyfriend’s ticket, as our travel plans were entirely dependent on theirs. The ticket protection purchased through FlightHub proved to be completely useless and offered absolutely no protection in this situation.
This entire experience has been exhausting, stressful, and honestly disgraceful. No elderly couple dealing with serious medical trauma should be treated this way. We simply want our money back and to be relieved of this unnecessary stress. If this issue is not resolved immediately, we fully intend to escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau and pursue further action.
I strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with Refundable.me.
