Not sure if all locations have the same practice, but if Regal does this nation wide, this is very poor customer service….. went to a 4:40 pm showing and the show that I paid very good money for didn’... See more

Misinformation and lack of Customer Service

All I wanted was to get the prices for tickets. Regal wants you to go to their website or social media. Phone numbers don't work. When I tried calling my local theater the recorded message gave me another phone number with NO AREA CODE! Can't get in touch with corp either. Finally found a phone number for Corp Customer Service. He was able to give me prices. Next.... They still have $5-$8 Tuesday prices for EVERYONE online. Wrong! You have to be a "member." It's actually $10.50 for non members. They have so much misinformation that they apparently don't care is out there. Why don't they clean it up? Why is there no obvious and correct phone numbers for Customer Service? I think I may just find another theater.

Outrageously overpriced!

I booked tickets online only to find out I was charged an extra fee for doing so to the tune of $6! Then we visit the concession stand and ordered the smallest bag of popcorn, 2 waters, and one hotdog and my total was $30.78! I almost fainted at the total! Lastly, we then sat through 33 MINUTES OF ads and previews before seeing the movie. This WAS and WILL BE my LAST and only trip to Regal Cinemas. I can go to CimenaCafe for a 10x better experience and order an entire meal for $12.95! Really pitiful how they take advantage of people’s pocketbook!

Lousy customer service

Got notice that my AMEX on file denied payment (I had to close the account that same day due to a security issue). Went immediately on the website and registered a new form of payment ..but could not delete the old card. Then discovered that the payment actually cleared through Paypal...which is not registered as a form of payment; scary. Started a long and futile email exchange with them to get to the bottom. They clearly did not even read my first email. After several more, they told me I had to make the changes required on the app. The app however showed no registered forms of payment for my account. Ended up cancelling the account to clear out any possible future payment screwups. Then attempted to establish a new account ...'system unavailable'.

Subscriptions

If you’re thinking about subscribing to any monthly or yearly subscriptions with regal. Be very cautious. They make it difficult to cancel and even after messaging them about my cancellation they respond and still push it out one more month to charge you one more time even if you meet minimum requirements for example mine was minimum of 3 months. Communication with them through email was a nightmare. So don’t sign up or plan on paying a month or two extra after requesting it to be cancelled.

Been a reagl cinema subscriber forever…

Been a reagl cinema subscriber forever and had tickets for today to take my grandson to see Wonka .
His entire family came down with covid.
I had to get a refund and they would not return the $5.50 service charge.
I sent an email, complained; explained etc and got nowhere. I know it is only $6.00 but It was about the way I was treated.
Without going into much detail this child was born drug addicted, was in 5 foster homes in 3 1/2 years and my daughter finally adopted him. We are in our late
70’s and were flying from Florida to Boston to take him to this movie. That are all so sick, our trip was cancelled and yet, regal felt the need to screw about of the service fee.
Won’t step in another regal cinema again

Unlimited plan is VERY limited

Unlimited plan is VERY limited. Its only Unlimited for their "basic" movies.. all the crap no one wants to watch. They bury this information deep and you don't realize until you're already stuck with a 3 month useless plan. Lucky for me I used my credit card as my payment option and just put a hold on it once I caught on to their false advertising.

Regal Crown Club Subscription - Avoid at All Costs

My experience with Regal Crown Club's subscription service was a total disaster. I tried to cancel my subscription as per their policy, even providing proof of my request. But their customer service, especially Sunny, was beyond frustrating.

Sunny ignored my requests, claimed they never received my email, and refused a refund. They didn't care about resolving the issue or escalating it to a supervisor. It felt like they were just brushing me off.

I strongly recommend avoiding this service. It's a hassle to unsubscribe, and their customer service, especially Sunny, is a joke. Save your time and money.

Unlimited movies experience

They heavily advertised for Unlimited movies for $22.99 and say it pays for itself in just 2 movies but it's a big scam, they are taking it for a minimum of 3 months and you can never cancel it forever they keep charging your credit card. there's no way to cancel it
No direct phone, does not respond to email, Total Fraud.

IF YOU'RE DISABLED DON'T GO TO REGAL CROSSROADS!

IF YOU'RE DISABLED, DON'T GO TO REGAL CINEMA. The manager there, named Chris, does not honor the free companion ticket, even though this is Regal's corporate policy. When I showed him the policy in writing, he said it was his prerogative whether to give me a free ticket. It's very difficult to take my husband to the movies, but I attempt to do so since he loves it so much; he has dementia and is wheelchair bound. It's very disappointing to be treated in this manner. :(

I went to see Barbie yesterday

I went to see Barbie yesterday. There was no one in the ticket booth and no sign telling you to come inside to buy ticket. I bought a ticket at the concession stand. I asked the young man about what kind of wine they had. He pointed at the cooler. I again asked what kind of wine because I could not read the labels from the other side of the counter. He bent down and pretended to read the labels but he looked very confused. I started to question if he could read...so I just ordered a beer. A TWELVE DOLLAR beer?!?!?!?! Seriously? I could have purchased this can of beer at the gas station for $3, so I would understand paying $6 for the same can at the movie theater but $12??? Four times the actual retail price of the can of beer. And movie theaters wonder why people are not coming to the theater to see the movies, but are waiting for it to come out on a streaming service. Get a grip Regal.

Regal Was It's title and more...

I went to the Regal Biltmore Grand theater where I was treated like Gold.I had a wonderful time.First,I started with snacks. The staff was so intentive.Popcorn was full, great ratio of butter salt and fresh and hot.The cherry icee hit the spot.I made it before the movie trailers stopped
.The movie was great too. After wards I had a kind employee refilled my drink and asked if I like more popcorn .I was happy from the attention I received. The members of regal staff that went above and beyond were LISA ,AND BETH .I made a small mess. But,staff DEREK cleaned it right away before a mess was notice.I was also asked How I was doing by Management AMBER and LISA.If you need a special night out you should consider the door to floor to counter and everything in between service. Made a average night feel as though I was royalty.Thank you I will be back.

Took my 2 grandsons to movie that was…

Took my 2 grandsons to movie that was supposed to be 3D. When I purchased the tickets the cashier said this movie is not 3D. I said that’s strange because it said it was on the website. Go in and immediately realize that it’s blurry. Sit down and after a while feel like I’m getting a headache so I go back out to the cashier and say, are you sure it’s not 3D because it’s blurry. She says no it’s not. Go back in and sit for a while and decide I’m not paying $44 for a headache. Go back out and ask for a manager. He says, we’ll ma’am do you have your 3D glasses. Says it like I’m stupid. Sir, I realized it was 3D when I walked in but when the people who work there refuse to listen to what you’re saying what can you do. Unless it’s possible that they work there and actually can’t read that it was 3D.

Broken Infrastructure

Not once, but twice, I had to reach out to CS reps because I do not get the full amount of points from a purchase, only the tickets, despite the copy saying that points from both tickets AND concessions.

When your infrastructure is broken like this, it erodes trust, and I've gone to other theaters with no reward programs simply to not be bothered trying to get what Regal promised.

We saw Barbie at Regal Cinema Warrington, PA, last night at 6:50 pm. The theater was hot and the movie & previews were way too loud. There weren’t many people in the theater so you need to
Lower the volume!!!

Don't buy a gift card from Regal

I bought a $100 gift card in 2019 from a promotion for an extra $20 for food and beverage. Covid hit, but they told me it would never expire. During that time I changed my email address and recently could not find the digital gift card. Called customer service and they said I needed the gift card number in order to redeem it - even though they had my name, my old email, and an indication I had purchased it. So I am out $100. Will never go to Regal again - AMC and CMX are my new go-to theaters.

Absolutely terrible I went to the Pinellas Park location. The seats were crappy. It smells like sex in there and you know I’m 70 years old and they’re asking me for a day to have a beer then when you get up in there that sounds horrible absolutely disgusting. I’d rather pay $20 on iTunes..

The volume of the previews was so loud I went outside to wait for them to finish. I asked about this and was told that this is not a local decision. My days of watching movies in theatres are over, at least until this practice is discontinued.

Everyone is being blocked at Regal…

Everyone is being blocked at Regal theaters when I go to their web site to see movie times. This should never be blocked. If you don't fix this we , my family will go to AMC theaters even though its 17 miles from our homes. Now I am going to convey this to Regal.
