Outstanding Experience with an Incredible Remote Recruitment Team

I recently had the privilege of spending two days at the Remote Recruitment Summit, and I can honestly say it was an incredibly valuable experience. The team behind Remote Recruitment, led by the inspiring Emily van Eyssen, is nothing short of exceptional — professional, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about helping people succeed in the remote work landscape.

Throughout the summit, I was impressed not only by the depth of knowledge shared but also by how supportive and engaging the team was. Every session was packed with actionable insights, real-world advice, and motivational energy that left me feeling more confident and prepared to step into the remote job market.

What stood out the most was the sense of community they’ve created. You’re not just a candidate to them — you’re a person they truly want to see thrive. Thanks to this experience, I’ve gained valuable tools and clarity that I’m hopeful will soon lead to a remote role through their guidance.

If you're looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring team to support your remote job search, I can't recommend Remote Recruitment enough. With Emily van Eyssen at the helm, they’re not just building careers — they’re building futures.

I would strongly advise caution when engaging with Remote Recruitment, particularly in the context of hiring or placing remote workers in South Africa.

Unfortunately, my experience with this company has raised several serious ethical and legal concerns. Notably:

Lack of Transparency: The company does not disclose the actual salaries offered to candidates, nor the percentage it takes from the monthly invoice. This hidden commission structure is not only unethical, but in many countries, potentially illegal.

Exploitation of Talent: By withholding salary details and taking an undisclosed cut, Remote Recruitment appears to be taking advantage of South African workers, as well as international agencies that partner with them.

Unprofessional Conduct: The owner has shown a consistently rude and unprofessional attitude, making constructive communication extremely difficult.

I urge companies, partners, and job seekers to think twice before engaging with this organization. There are many reputable and transparent agencies out there that value fairness and ethical standards — this, unfortunately, is not one of them.

Why is it that the only people who are positively commenting are with white people surnames??
Is this remote company favoring white people?

Remote Recruitment keeps posting the same positions or new ones but NEVER gets back to you. Instead all I get are spam emails from them about registering for nonsense. I think remote recruitment is one of those scams that just wants our data.

You speak to someone virtually through the entire process.

Late by 10min for the initial 15min interview but expected to be early by 15min and sit and wait - too many people present, seems very micromanaged environment.

Didn't send through the assessment material but wanted to act like they did and it just ended up in spam - it didn't, it was never sent, then had less than 5 hrs to complete it and they expected you to have the time available fro their poor candidate management.

Longer interview, again too many people and they want you there 15min before for what awful reason, so sit in a virtual waiting room.

All of the above interviews where scheduled WITHOUT CHECKING AVAILABILITY and the expected to be present regardless of how it affects your day.

Sure they recruit for other companies but this is one of those agencies to stay away from. You do t need to have 3 of your employees present in an interview - that's just super weird and illogical reasonings won't suffice.

I’ve applied for various posts. Always the posts I have more than enough experience with and some even over experienced. And it always gets rejected, I don’t mind the rejection but I would like feedback as to why I was rejected. I follow every tip you guys give but still nothing and it gets really frustrating. Unless there is only a certain ‘type’ of people you hire. And the weird thing is, you always re-advertise the posts

I was very excited when I heard thy will be recruiting from South Africa but my joy was short lived as everyone in my community has applied and rejected without any feedback or even a rejection email when u login to their portal that where you see that thy rejected u, Ni communication what so ever,for someone who has been working remotely with international companies this was my first time receiving no communication at all from my application not even a rejection,some application has been in progress for a month with no contact from the recruiter this is very frustrating

I had such a pleasant experience working with Remote Recruitment, I found they get back to you very fast and comunicate with you throughout the whole process and you not left wondering. I was matched with a Company very fast and really appreciated how fast and efficient they are.

They phoned me to tell me I had gotten the job. I waited patiently for over a week for the contract that they said they would send over. Never sent it. I followed up and then all of a sudden they called me back to say that the company had rescinded the job.
I was quite upset, but accepted this as I thought it's not Remote Recruitment's fault.
They promised me up and down that they would put me first for any jobs similar to the one I was supposed to get. I have seen multiple advertisements for jobs exactly like the one I had nearly gotten. When I contacted them to ask why no one had put me forward for this, they just said that they would "contact me when something comes up".
When I applied to jobs that I know I would have been a great fit for, they simply rejected my applications with no notes.

To this day, I have received no contact from them. Horrible company who does NOT care about people applying for these jobs. I would not be surprised if it was their unprofessional attitude that cost me that job.

Luckily I have gotten myself a job with no thanks to them, but I will continue to put out word about what a bad experience I had with them. They have no empathy for job seekers and will not help you in any meaningful way. STEER CLEAR.

I have had a girl contact me on whatsapp by the name of Isabella from the recruitment dept. If i had an option to star this at 0 i would. This woman was extremity rude, thought its okay to swear at me because i said i was not interested, was coming across very strong and pressuring to consider roles. This woman should not be in this role and should be fired!
