Going To Financial ombudsman, Utterly abysmal Company that demand money anytime they want. Currently we have received a further bill from them for maintenance charges Which has been transferred by my solicators at the time of purchas. I have provided proof of sale and funds transfer BUT who ever is reading the email Obviously doesn't know how to read Just Because they are unable to process their end of the accounts properly. Something needs to be done legally about these companies. It is beyond shambolic, unreasonable and unfair.

Sent a late payment demand (£50) 2 days after I had actually paid! - via online banking
Will not remove additional demand despite numerous calls and emails and threaten further costs if not paid.
They even acknowledged the payment was received prior to the demand being processed!
How on earth can this be legal!
Even more galling is we pay 6 months in advance for the privilege!

What a shocking company to deal with!
They like advance payments for maintenance of the estate but if you don’t receive an invoice and subsequently pay on the reminder they sting you for late fees £50 - and threaten further charges.
Despite calling to explain the situation and numerous emails they won’t budge.
Tiddy Brook management take note - since Remus have taken over, the estate seems to have gone downhill, whilst the charges have gone in the other direction

*Update 20-Jan-26 * I finally received an email acknowledging the mistakes made by Remus management with respect to my complaint. I was offered the money back for the unreasonable parking fines, leaving me neutral (no additional compensation for the hassle caused). However, by 18-Feb I have not received the payment. I have received an apology from the property manager and a commitment to do better in future. As a result of this late intervention, I have increased my rating to 2 stars.
*Update 12-Jan-26 * So after 6 weeks of total inaction by the company and by the Review Team, they have concluded that they have done nothing wrong and will not apologise for their extraordinarily poor service. They didn't read the email trail I sent them of the issues. I will let you draw your own conclusions. If I could replace them as managing agents, I certainly would!!
Remus Management are a dreadful company. They "manage" our property at The Comptons Apartments in Horsham, but I have had nothing but trouble with them over the 14 years that I have dealt with them. In particular, James Perry, the property manager, provides very poor service. He does not communicate with residents in a timely manner and does not know the procedures and processes associated with the apartment block. I contacted Mr Perry in September to ask about the process for informing a Car Park Management company of a new tenant. Mr Perry did not reply and as a result the tenant received a number of parking fines for using their own allocated space!!! Remus refused to pay the fine and could not arrange for cancellation of them with their own supplier. I would give 0 stars if that were possible and I would also choose another property management company if I could. Avoid if you can.

Had a query over email, was responded by Ashleigh, I later called and the phone was answered quick, spoke to Jay.C who was polite and professional managed to sort everything out and confirmed with an email whilst being on the call to make sure I got this 10/10 from both Ashleigh and Jay.C

I had to query why there was an extra 50 pounds on my annual service charge. sent an e mail to accounts dept where Tanweer discovered it was an error for a late payment from last year which was incorrect. Tanweer sorted my problem and on we go.
How you can charge for late payment when we pay in january for services the following december!!!

My experience with Remus was remarkably a huge improvement. Jay C, listened, understood and reassured me that he was going to take action on something that has unnecessarily caused me additional stress. I left feeling confident that finally my issue will get resolved.

Having recently moved in, this is my first time paying the Service Charge and there seem to have been some issue with the previous owners payments not being properly accounted for during the transition, and carrying over to myself.
Importantly though, whilst the experiences of some of the other Reviewers are already making me nervous that this might be the start of a longer running saga, I have nothing but praise for Jay C who answered the phone. It is refreshing, and something of a relief, to communicate with someone who actually listens to you, is capable of seeing the obvious issue, and appears motivated to get it sorted out quickly.
Having spoken to them, I am optimistic now that this will be resolved painlessly.
So long as nothing foolish happens, like applying late penalties to mystery charges under dispute, I'll have no complaints.
