Ghosted after being told they would do the work

I contacted this company in August to ask about getting cavity wall insulation. They carried out a site survey in September, told me that my house was suitable, that I qualified for a grant and that someone would be in touch in 2-3 weeks to book the work in. I chased this up in October and was told someone would be in touch in 1-2 weeks. I chased again at the end of November and was told no-one had been in touch because I was a partner referral and should go through the partner. I explained I hadn’t used a partner and it was a direct contact. After some head scratching, they said this was a computer glitch due to an upgrade and someone would be in touch in 1-2 days because they didn’t have a lot of work on in December. It’s now 19 December and I have still heard nothing. I don’t know what’s wrong with this company, but they don’t seem to want or need the work.

Great job

I sent a email request to these guys for the insulation using the government grant eco4 I think it is called. I was a bit sceptical at first but they sent out a surveyor to confirm the ecp and then they told me they can do the wall insulation and not only that but they could do the attic, room in roof and all sorts of other things. True to word they showed up, did the wall insulation, put insulation board in the attic, plastered the entire room, added skirting board, even put in a skylight, added a vent in the front room (which I'd been told I needed because of my fire by another company) added window vents and all sorts of jobs to make it compliant to standard. They were fast and efficient, didn't make a mess, were polite and did a good job and they even had the building inspector come around to double check if one of my walls was suitable, due to irregularities with one of the walls on my property. I have had no problems since the work was done (was about a year ago). Only thing which wasn't brilliant was communication in writing, there was none from the office pre work starting which did make me nervous. I am however still giving 5 starts because they did a lot of work and the work they did was very good. There have been no problems since completion (I'm guessing it has been a year now since, date is a guess as I can't remember when it was exactly but it has definitely been a year). And it didn't cost me a penny which was beyond amazing.
