Bought a refurbished Dell Latitude 7300…

Bought a refurbished Dell Latitude 7300 from Best Buy, refurb'd by "Renewtronics".com, during Black Friday weekend. for~$400 (US) for what was an older, out of warrantee, reasonably equipped smaller 13' unit, was in reasonable shape (had it worked). Right out of the box, I reinstalled Win 11 Pro, to make sure I knew what I had. For a couple of weeks, (over the Holidays, and during a major move) the unit fired up and seemed OK. But when I started trying to install basic Apps from the MS Store, started getting errors, would not *open Windows Store, could not get into my MS account, got errrors like "can not log in from personal or academic account", and others. Reddit folks suggested the unit (origins going into refurb) sounded like it was an EDU or private corp (or possibly stolen) unit, and weeks of lame return emails from RenewTronics flatly refused to help and kept saying "just reinstall OS". Best Buy refused to even talk without my paying >$160, and the unit was out of warrantee with Dell, so, have a $400 web browser. Will never again buy from Best Buy, certainly not anything that Renewtronics has touched, and with Michael Dell standing up and donating $6billion to curry favor of our current Bad Tan in Thief, I guess I'm back to Lenovo. Avoid Renewtronics at all cost.
