About Reposit

Written by the company

Reposit is the UK's best deposit alternative provider.

We provide better value for tenants, more cover for landlords and a smoother tenancy deposit process for letting agents.

We've been revolutionising rentals since 2016 and work with hundreds of letting agents to provide thousands of deposit alternatives to landlords and tenants.

As the cost of renting continues to increase in the UK, tenants are faced with cash rental deposits that are simply unaffordable. whilst landlords find themselves with charges or rent arrears that go beyond the typical 5 weeks rent.

Reposit solves both challenges for tenants and landlords alike. Tenants pay a non-refundable fee of just one week's rent* whilst landlords are covered up to 8 weeks in the even of damages or rent arrears.

Our product is insurance-backed and we're regulated by the FCA and protected by the FSCS, so landlords can be completely comfortable that their payouts are protected.

Whether you're an agent, landlord or tenant you can get in touch with us today to find out more.

Its quick and easy

Its quick and easy! It wouldve been better if the proper paper trail was also made available on the dashboard for those who need it like the invoice and receipt! But otherwise, its straightforward!

Hi Uba,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We're sorry to hear you were disappointed by the annual renewal fee.

The annual fee applies each year that a Reposit remains active and helps us continue providing our deposit replacement service throughout the tenancy.

We'd like the opportunity to look into your experience and ensure everything has been handled correctly. Please contact us at hello@reposit.co.uk with your Reposit reference, and we'll be happy to review this for you.

Kind regards

Don't build your systems for multi-tenant non-family customers only.

Firstly, the person who is responsible for the rental should be the only person who needs to pay the deposit. There is absolutely no reason my 18yr old autistic son, should need to open a bank account in order to pay a deposit when he is in full time education.

Yes, it can be solved with phoning the agent and getting them to call you and then trying again and again before it eventually allowed my card to complete the transaction but only if it was a card that hadn't been used before.

Give us the option for one person to pay the full deposit. This way you've made my autistic son liable if I mess up in some way and you need to bill me hundreds of thousands of pounds if I don't fulfil my obligations.

I had to use your service because I did not have a choice but given the opportunity, I would NEVER recommend your service to anyone else.

Good Morning Antonio,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience wasn't as straightforward as it should have been, particularly regarding your son's registration and the payment process.

We'd like to clarify a couple of points that may be helpful for others reading your review. You were invited to use Reposit through our integration with Goodlord, where tenants are presented with a clear choice between using Reposit or paying a traditional tenancy deposit. If you felt you were pressured by your letting agent into choosing Reposit, we'd encourage you to contact us at hello@reposit.co.uk so we can discuss your experience further.

Regarding your son, if he is your dependant and not intended to be jointly liable under the tenancy, he would not necessarily have needed to be registered as a tenant on the Reposit. In many cases, the letting agent can instead record them as a permitted occupier, which would remove the requirement for them to register with Reposit or pay towards the Reposit fee. We'd recommend speaking with your letting agent about this in similar circumstances.

We also appreciate your comments about the payment experience. Each tenant named on a joint tenancy is required to register individually and pay their own share of the Reposit fee, reflecting the joint and several liability that exists under the tenancy agreement itself. However, we're sorry you experienced difficulties completing the payment, and we recognise how frustrating that must have been.

We genuinely value your feedback, as it helps us identify where we can improve both our product and the guidance we provide to agents and tenants. If you'd be willing to discuss your experience further, please do get in touch with us at hello@reposit.co.uk.

Kind regards

Its okay..

Its okay... - Its a useful service when you take out a housing rental agreement as no deposit however it can be more costly then just handing over a deposit.

"Hidden" fees that are in the small print mean that if you disagree with landlords deductions you need to pay reposit for them to take it to an adjudicator. Other then this we have had no issues with them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We're pleased to hear you've otherwise had a positive experience with Reposit. We appreciate your comments regarding our fees, and we'd like to reassure you that we aim to be transparent about all charges. Our dispute fee is clearly outlined in our Terms & Conditions and on our website before a customer chooses Reposit, so tenants can make an informed decision.

Thank you again for your review.

I cannot give a good review due to poor…

I cannot give a good review due to poor tenancy conditions with the property let from Minors and Brady.
Not sure they really care as no one else did on the condition.
They ask for money you have to take the process that then leads to an adjudicator for final review which we won so no fees.
They are more of a third person company that give you fees for a no deposit. Time the government stopped this to!!
