Founders, don't waste your time.

I spent about half an hour filling out Republic’s application, uploading everything they requested, and explaining my company clearly. Within a few hours, I got a form-letter rejection claiming “thorough consideration” — but it was obvious no one actually reviewed my file.

What Republic doesn’t tell you is that your submission first goes through an automated filter. If their algorithm decides you’re not a fit, no human ever looks at your proposal. That’s fine if that’s their process — but they should say so up front. At the very least, Republic should publish their basic qualifying criteria so founders don’t waste time applying for something they were never going to be considered for.

If you’re an early-stage startup or don’t already fit their internal mold, don’t expect feedback, courtesy, or even proof that your application was reviewed. I’m leaving this review to save others the time and frustration I went through.

The investor never sees his money again, even if the startup earns

I have invested in at least 20 companies on this platform, since 2016 (before it was called Seedrs, but it's still them!), today apparently I am making money, but it is impossible to sell my "shares", no one buys them, much less the company that issued them. Maybe they would be interesting if I sold them at -30% or -50% of their "declared" value!
I am very disappointed! other investments that I have made here have evaporated, so in 9 years I have invested in 20 companies but it is as if I have thrown my money down the drain.

I can't believe there are no reviews…

I can't believe there are no reviews about this company. Anyway, they deleted some of my posts without telling me which, or why on the discussion pages. Made me angry but I got over it. Recently they blocked me out of my account until I set up 2FA. I will never make another investment with them, so I can't see what's going on with my investments, but whatever. I have used a self-directed Roth for a few investments and their chosen transfer agent, Computershare.com has twice failed to send a check to the Roth. They claim they need some ridiculous paperwork from them. After several weeks of dicking around, I whined to Republic about it, and poof, my Roth didn't need it all that much. Now, my Roth is entitled to a second check, and negative poof, they need it again. This company chose their transfer agent and they do little to nothing when a payment is to be sent. In tandem, dealing with Republic and Computershare is not worth the hassle.

I received your reply

I received your reply. I had submitted a review..it was negative as the colors were not vibrant like I expected them to be...I want to thank you for your quick reply and offer to correct the problem. It was a tonsil's out t-shirt, so the surgery is over and great granddaughter wore the shirt in the hospital...so no need to correct....but I do thank you for the offer.... Sandi.
