Brian- Seven months into the Defender services and they are unable to move negative results from the bottom of the 1st page beyond the middle of the 2nd page in a Google search.

Jay has been amazingly helpful for years on behalf of this company. Jay always provides valuable information in an extremely timely fashion and has impressive knowledge and experience.

Dealing with Reputation Defender has been nothing short of bunch of lies and manipulation. Their representative Yorick Hempstead did not deliver anything close to what he promised. The company charged me a lot of money without providing the results that they said will get me. First, they said they will suppress the negative content within first 6 months. When that did not happen, they said it will take 12 months.. Now, after 12 months, the negative content has not been supressed and it will not be. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their employees make a lot of promises, but do not not make them happen. If you want to waste your money, and not want to see actual results of what you paid for, go with this company. There are many other companies in the same line of business who wont rip you off.

While my current problem might not rise to the level of needing to hire Reputation Defender, I was greatly impressed with our conversation. He was extremely friendly, helpful, patient, a good listener, and super knowledgeable. I sincerely appreciated his help, and I highly recommend using Reputation Defender. This is a must to avoid company and at one time, I believe they had a stellar reputation. They ruined it with lies to their customer as well as a very expensive price tag. I hired RD for a year, very expensive but I trusted they were the best, THEY WERE NOT EVEN CLOSE. My only reuqets was to rempove all my personal information, nothing complicated. And they promised everything I asked for. In fact, it was their most basic job description. S as it got closer to renewal time and I already had my doubts, as they were contacting me four months before my contract was up and wanting to me to renew. I started checking online doing a VERY SIMPLE Google search. AN immediate repsonse to my name I use every daqy of my life. My iformation was all over the web. There were pages of all my information on every site. There was information that was not even there before, such as a job I started after enrolling in RD in 2024. Well that job and my position now was added to all my other personal information. These people did nothing of what they promised so for the whole time, my information was never removed from the web. I was livind, angry, called them. Their repsonse was "they disagreed with me" Well that prompted to me to file a complaint against them with the avaialble agencies. And I paid $1000.00 and I am still under contract, soon to be over this year. I wil never have anything to d with this company and will surely give my personal experience to anyone who asks. I hope to keep as many away from RD as I can. They RIPPED ME OFF.

The most important thing about the service is that it is genuine and trustworthy. In this world full of scammers, I found reputation defender not scam.

They are the absolute worst. Over promised and under delivered by a mile. They claimed to be able to target different variations of my name and online profile. Then later claimed that they were only targeting my name alone. When asked about this, the staff kept telling me they would review with management and call me back. They never called back, despite saying they would four separate times. The "results" were supposed to be permanent. It isn't. They attempt to extort more money from you at the end of every year. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. And in the event that management is reviewing this, the staff member that dropped the ball (numerous times) is Brittany Samuel.

Update Mar 5, 2025: Since I wrote this in Feb & RD checked into it, the calls have totally stopped. I appreciated their quick response & correction of the issue.

I have never used Reputation Defender (RD). I mistakenly checked something to look at it as a long time Norton user. I am now bombarded with phone calls once or twice a week from different numbers from "Anna" who wants me to call her about RD. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers and block each one & add it to my spam list. This has been going on for about 6 months. If this is any indication of how they do business, I would be very leery of them.

I have been a client with Reputation Defender for 5 years. For 4 1/2 years I have made slow progress suppressing negative articles that were written appropriately 28 years ago. To be precise, a negative article appeared as article 3 on page one and articles 11 and 13 on page two when doing an internet search. I was only able to gain ground by pushing these articles down to page two or three. It was very frustrating to say the least. The Reputation Defender representatives assigned to me over the years simply asked me to be patient yet they did not actively and aggressively make any changes to the strategy, written content focus, or lift a finger to assist me with my progress.

Then I was assigned a new account representative named Yorick. After having had a number of account reps switched out on me (they took new jobs), I was convinced that I was in for the same level of performance. I couldn't have been more wrong!

Yorick immediately contacted me to discuss my account, past progress, and how he intended to approach things differently with a new strategy, focus, and action steps. He immediately got one of the negative articles eliminated. I mean eliminated! There were now only two negative articles remaining. Yorick stepped up content generation and moved the second negative article from page 2 to page 3. He didn't stop there. He stayed on it and continued working to push the articles farther down until only one negative article remained on page 3.

As of three days ago, all 3 negative articles have been pushed past page 5. In other words, they do not show up on the first 3 pages of what you would find through a search. Absolutely incredible! I never thought it could be done and had quite frankly considered terminating my contract with Reputation Defender.

My gratitude and appreciation goes out to Yorick, My only regret is that I only wish I had met him 5 years ago.

When you have been unjustly accused of something that never occurred and it has almost ruined your life, I know how depressing and all consuming it becomes. It destroys the most important asset you hold - your reputation. You are not deemed innocent, but guilty of whatever anyone wants to publish about you. It haunts you and crushes your self esteem. You are embarrassed around family members and friends. New acquaintances do a background check and you are always forced to defend yourself. It is horrible, and worse, it sticks with you.

Waste of time and money. I spent $2500 to have my personal information removed from the internet. My primary contact was Andrew, and the person who sold me the package was Dil. I was promised that my full legal name associated with my stage name would be removed from the website. They removed some of my personal information from phone number database websites. However, the particular website that invades my right to privacy and poses a safety is still active.

They keep flagging my review so that you guys won’t see it! I’ll keep uploading it for the people to see my honest review! Working with this company was a WASTE OF MY MONEY, The quality of service was way less than I expected. What gained my trust was “Nortons” Reputation. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have paid this much for the service. Best believe I paid big bucks for the bare minimum, literally. They charged 10 times more than the average company and what I got was not better than the average company! They sold me on the idea of having an account manager who communicates with me along the way lol their “account manager” Jay Jones was so half ass almost as if he couldnt be bothered with his job as well as the sales representatives AJ, from what I got he cared about making the sale that’s about it. I paid for the service around November 30 and asked for a refund as soon as I realized this was A MISTAKE. It’s February 11 and to this day I haven’t received a single penny. They called a few times and gave me the run around. Last time they called and said they will have the manager contact me to this day a manager didn’t call. I would NOT recommend working with these people! I GOT NO REFUND! Their favorite thing to say is “we’re a big company that’s publicly traded” but every big company I know is quick to refund dissatisfied customers. I should have gone with one of the “small” companies, at least I would have gotten my money’s worth or a refund if I’m not pleased with their service or lose a small amount of money if they refuse to refund.

Overpriced for what you will get. First of all the communication sucks. I paid half of the $1,000 fee and for weeks no one update me on the progress. They will contact you relentless to get the money. After paying the money I still had no luck with my online profile particularly the misdemeanor arrest that prevented me from getting a job. I contacted reputation defender and was told I only paid for the basic package. I did not know what I paid for did not include criminal background assistance. If you decide to use RD make sure you mention in detail what your expected outcome should be. I ended up contacting the sites on my own to opt out of online profiles for several sites. After RD is paid in full it appears no one will follow up with you.

I appreciate how the project continues to deliver the product well.

I was having trouble with search results for my name on the Internet, it turns out that a person with the same first and last name as mine, was convicted of a serious crime. To make the circumstantial matters worse the person lives in the same city/county.
I contacted Reputation Defender and Brittany Samuels was assigned to assist me. I am very pleased with the results. Rep. Defender was able to remove my name from the common search systems, and eliminate the erroneous ties on the Web.
Brittany was always available to talk if I had a question, and she called me several times over the last year to update me on the latest scans. I highly recommend them and Brittany Samuels as one of their representatives. Knowledgeable, friendly and effective!!
