Extremely Disappointing Service – Never Again

I booked a vehicle through ReserveAway expecting a smooth and reliable experience, but it was nothing short of a nightmare. The car I reserved wasn’t available when I arrived, and the replacement they offered was in poor condition and nowhere near the category I paid for. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, taking days to respond to my messages. On top of that, I was charged hidden fees that were never mentioned during booking. This whole process caused unnecessary stress and delays to my trip. I will not be using ReserveAway again and strongly recommend others look elsewhere for dependable transportation services.

They would not refund my money after…

They would not refund my money after I cancelled reservation 2 days prior to booking date. Scam company! Avoid at all cost...

To clarify, the 3% deduction is not a hidden fee nor an admin charge, it’s a non-refundable processing fee charged by your card provider when we receive the original payment. Unfortunately, when we refund a prepaid product, this charge isn’t returned to us, which is why it's deducted from the refund amount.

We do our best to be transparent about this, it’s outlined in our terms and conditions and shown clearly during the booking process, before you confirm your selection.

Misleading and update

Accepted my booking and payment then didn't email me the confirmation, and when I called europcar they're on a stop sale because they don't have cars available 🤦

Update:

They eventually refunded me and offered a goodwill gesture, but the fact that Europcar sent them a confirmation booking that did not exist or was under someone else's name makes me hesitate to book here again, most likely the next time.

Delay in Receiving Booking Confirmation

I didn’t receive a booking confirmation after paying the deposit, which was immediately concerning. As someone who travels frequently, it’s standard to get confirmation right after payment. Instead, I was told there was a technical issue and that it had been escalated to their technical team. While customer support did communicate via chat and email, I wasn’t interested in system errors—I just wanted my booking confirmed. I ended up cancelling and taking my business elsewhere. They later offered me 50% off if I reconsidered booking again with them, but I declined to avoid any further hassle if happened again. Just an honest review of my own experience.

I’ve had absolutely shocking experiences in the past with car rental. Found these guys on Instagram, booked a car and found the exact deposit amount for each protection option to be so useful.

I booked a rental car for my holiday to…

I booked a rental car for my holiday to Palma as I wanted the freedom to explore the island as well as the city. I have to say I was very impressed by how easy the process was and really appreciated the fact that I wasn’t upsold at any point and felt no pressure to upgrade - a much better experience than I’ve had with other companies previously. Will definitely be using Reservaway again!

Everything car hire should have been for years!

This was my first time using Reservaway - I needed a car for my trip to Lanzarote last week. What a really refreshing experience I have to say - this is how it should be done. After years of hiring cars through all the normal comparison sites for family holidays, I was fed up with getting to the pick up desk and being upsold, putting loads down on my card and not really understanding what insurance I had - it happens every time! After a recommendation from a friend, I decided to give Reservaway a go. Website as easy as any other to use, but the way it's all explained up front is so much better. I chose the ‘Best’ protection option along with pick up at terminal, and what a difference this actually made to my day and start to the holiday! When I got to the Enterprise desk to pick up my keys, I was NOT asked to sign for any extra protection products, or extra options - as it had already been done when I booked online. Also as I had chosen pick up at terminal, I had no shuttle bus to wait for - and after being up since 2am.. that was a dream come true! - as I was able to drive off in about 10 minutes. Overall a seriously new and refreshing experience. Everything I wanted my car hire to be for the last 5 years!
