I just got notification that Resume Example automatically deducted for SGD 54.99 for a subscription plan I never agreed to? I just read the email Resume Example sent me and in the midst of all that text below, it sneakily states that Resume Example will automatically deduct SGD 54.99???
I gave you my debit card details for a one-time resume assist, out of trust and good will. And you stored my debit card details???????
I find this very dishonest practice. I have asked my card-issuing bank to contact you for a refund; especially since you automatically deducted from my card without a one-time password for this transaction.
Also, and because of you, the bank has now cancelled my card and flagged you.
This is horrible and so dishonest and presumptuous of you.

I don’t remember subscribing to the premium membership.
I think I was fooled by the way the site presents information and how it prompted me for 0.60 USD payment when I requested a resume download.
I didn’t notice at the time that the small fainted grey letters on the email I received actually contained the important bit which is that I was automatically enrolled in a membership which I honestly never requested and never intended to have in the first place.
This technique although legal is very fishy and easy to fall for the trap.
I’ve complained via email and got told off by customer services.
Therefore I cannot recommend this service and I feel obliged to warn other users like me that it’s very easy to unwillingly subscribe to a premium service which charges you 30 USD monthly.

I thought I was purchasing a single download. The template was supposed to be "easy to edit" offline. It was not, it was nearly impossible. They want you to complete the field online to use your data in their examples. The download was ultimately useless. Having trying to edit it to get what I wanted, I gave up after 1 hour. Then adding insult to injury, a few weeks later I'm charged with a subscription fee of $30. This was extremely devious fine print. I immediately reached out on the first charge and they absolutely refused to work with me on a refund of any kind. They offer a free year. Which holds no value since their templates are not very customizable.

Why are there so many paid reviews? Like literally everyone is repeating the same thing, not even a single word of difference.

Joined for a day. Received no joining notification and didn’t get my CV sent. Cancelled my subscription and was charged £30 for another month. So so not worth it!! Customer service not helpful at all.

Typical scammers. Exporting of CV costs $1. But it isn't the worst thing. I crated virtual debit card, transfered $1 on it and paid for CV successfully. After that from time to time they try to withdraw funds from that card automatically. One time it was $1, later $29.95. After 2 weers they tried to steal $750 from that credit card for booking some hotel in New York. I had to disable and remove that debit card.

This site and product is great, but this company is sly. They make you sign up to download the cv, and in small fine print say that it’s an auto renewal subscription that if you don’t cancel your subscription they will charge you like a 200 times more what you just paid for the same service. It goes from 2Usd to 30 usd - for what? And no surprises here - they don’t send you an email before reminding you that you even have a subscription. I know when companies do this that they are used to people forgetting and make extra money like this. Or even, not reading it properly and not seeing the unusual way they charge. It’s immoral and unethical, just like all the fake reviews on this page.

Absolutely appalling company to deal with.
I created an account under my normal email address. I accidentally created another account under the same email address but I misspelt it slightly. When I got charged I emailed the customer support team to cancel my account, which they said they did. A month later and I got charged again, this is when I discovered I had created another account with the same email address but is misspelt slightly. To use this service when you log in it sends a verification email to your registered email address and then you log onto the website through this. However the email address does not exist, so how can I use the service they are charging me for? Today I've tried to sort this out via email we've exchanged around 20 emails and I'm still not successful on getting my refund. The company seems extremely dodgy, they do not have a customer service phone number. This is a French company but are charging in USD - seems super dodgy.
Anyway long story short- keep clear of this ridiculous, unhelpful and stupid company.

Attention fraud!!!!
1. you are only informed that you have to pay when you have entered all the data and filled in everything and the CV is ready.
2. I opted for the 14-day basic access and paid the money. Now I have been charged 30 euros.
3. It was not clear in the general terms and conditions that 30 euros would be debited if I did not cancel in time, it was hidden at the bottom (not in the conditions). The general terms and conditions did not say that it was a subscription, but that you have access for 14 days. I repeat no information that it is a subscription.
This ambiguity is false and fraudulent!!!!
3. in my attempt to reach support there are two ways, one by email and the other by phone, on the phone they said you can reach them on Sundays between 10am and 6pm. It's Sunday 2pm and I couldn't get through to anyone. There was an announcement in French and then they hung up.
As is so often the case, you have to state in the email what the question is about. If you want to make payments there, you can't write an email, so you're forced to use another one. This shows unprofessionalism and supports the suspicion of fraud.
4. that there is no information about the ‘subscriptions’ on the website and therefore you cannot read the conditions.
Don't support these scammers and I hope to get at least some of my money back, although unfortunately this is rare. I think it's pathetic that people are getting rich off job seekers, students, pupils and trainees and taking money out of the pockets of those who already have little money and have to turn over every cent.
(I will also translate this article into other languages so that as many people as possible are warned).

They offered a trial for a period of time, and so I entered my credit card details. A sum of money was taken out of my account without any warning or email notification. When questioned, they said the fine print required me to cancel after the trial. So they refused to refund, and said they would extend the time period my account was valid for. Fast forward a year later, a sum of money was taken out of my account again - no warning, no receipt, no notification! SCAM ALERT.

I initially paid a flat fee of $1.95 in January 2024, thinking it covered the cost for updating my resume on the service. After using it for a brief period and making the payment, I didn't actively engage with the platform for about two weeks. Unexpectedly, on January 20th, I discovered a charge of $29.99 on my card without any prior notice or invoice. Apparently, I had been automatically subscribed to a premium plan without any notification.
Despite my efforts, I've been unable to secure a refund for the charged amount of $29.99. This service has proven to be far from user-friendly and fair, as the lack of transparency in their subscription model caught me by surprise. It's crucial to exercise caution, as this experience highlights the need for clearer communication and fair practices on their part.
